The best thing for centers like these is they could have the option what type of Bowling you want. Either 9 Pin or 10 Pin, sometimes others can even include Duckpin and Candlepin.

Fantastic video I scored a vintage AMF Amflite 2 pin from a local bowling alley AMF Amflite 2 it's got a eagle on the back it's got a date code on it which LOL for a date code which is amfs date code to determine how old they are for example if it had LLO that means the Pin is from November 1992 but the LOL date code idk how old my pin is I don't know how to read these codes though anyone who can determine my AMF Amflite 2 date code of LOL is greatly appreciated

@@GarageBowlingAlley Saw it as part of the ABC Sports Video "Bowling the Perfect game" The Dutch broought it to the US, to avoid gambling, laws they added a tenth pin as Tenpins. As a little kid I learned how to bowl with Duckpins, where they have the little balls and pins which were easier to hold in my then small hands, its a regional game in the mid Atlantic. I once visited my Grandma in Boston and bowled candlepins, which uses the deadwood on the second and third shots. I did eventually graduate to tenpins at River Bowl in Bethesda where my all time high in that version was 223 which was when I bowled in a 160 or less average league. My high score in Duckpins is 141. There never has been a perfect game in Duckpin bowling.

European 9 pin does yes. This is the American version of 9 pin

Definitely hooking. We were on our way to bowl 9 pin in San Antonio and saw this along the way. Great stuff down there with all the bowling clubs

Are the lanes oiled? Is striking even possible?
The lanes are oiled, yes, but it's normally very lightly. It's normally only bowled using plastic or rubber bowling balls due to this.
At my club in Kirby, TX; we have heavier oil. Which allows us to bowl with modern equipment.
Striking happens all the time, but the main objective is to knock down all pins EXCEPT the center pin. I have videos on my channel from my 9 pin league.
