    We are absolutely loving the aptos 440w bifocials. Best paired with sol ark 15kW and storz power batteries imo

    I live in Florida and researching Solar systems with battery back-up. I am sold on Enphase IQ8 micro-inverters, however I can not find any information that Aptos panels work with Enphase. I also notice that Aptos has their own inverters. Can someone provide me information on if any of Aptos Panels work with Enphase IQ8 micro-inverters?

    I enjoy your content. Unfortunately there are still a lot of solar scammers out there, giving outrageous quotes to homeowners. Last year I had 3 companies quote me and they were between $30 and $75,000 for a system...without batteries.
    Based on those obviously outrageous prices, I decided to go with a smaller system, including solar generators, to run freezers and prepare for a short term blackout.
    My power bill runs $300 in the summer and a 15-20 year payback doesn't make any sense. I have about $5k in a system that will provide critical system backup but I'll be without AC.

    Does running down "Attic foil" on a (in this case a barn) roof prior to install of the bifacial rear-side generation panel, would increase generation? (if so by how much)

    I’m too busy (and cash strapped) right now with multiple projects, but at some point, I want to start adding electric self sufficiency to my home. Please keep updating us on industry developments through these videos. They are helping me become familiar and ensure I remember it’s Solar Surge, I need to call.

    Nice. It's still almost 75" I wouldn't call that smaller. It's nice they are getting higher output, but they just don't work on a lot more roofs. We need good high output smaller panels to stick around who still makes them?

    That is a big panel. Canadian Solar 600W panel is only 2.1m high.

      This panel is only 1.9m high.....

      Yeah there are multiple panels smaller footprint and higher wattage. But I guess it depends on the efficiency

    Would the Aptos 440 work in Phoenix?

    • @SolarSurge
      @SolarSurge  Рік тому

      Yes, but the REC panel would be a better choice considering the high temps.

    Please learn to hold the microphone just under your chin for a better signal-to-noise ratio when recording in locations that have moderate to high ambient noise. You and the reps were speaking loud enough so it was pretty good but getting the mike closer means the recording level can be lower and that reduces the background noise.

      These panels are currently manufactured in Australia. They have plans to bring manufacturing 100% onshore to the USA in the near future.

      I was about to get them installed a few ago until I found this channel. So glad I didn't go with Silfab because the only produce 380w.

      @@PerryKetter 380w panels were discontinued. Also wouldn't really matter anyway because higher wattage is just a larger panel.

      @@LandonCartadiscontinued really? That's crazy because ION Solar just tried to sell me those panels. So are you telling me that they no longer sell them and that it's outdated?

    • @LandonCarta
      @LandonCarta Рік тому +1

      @@PerryKetter Solar companies are still able to sell them because they buy them in bulk. Silfab themselves just don't manufacture them anymore. Meaning it's going to be pretty expensive to find a replacement panel in the future if needed because there's less of them out there. In general though it's still a good panel. Im pretty sure the discontinuation was due to Silfab coming out with a 400w panel 2023 Q1.
