I wonder why the dude in red constantly has a sour look on his face. You've got Ken Turner singing some of the best bass ever, right beside you. Whats to be sour about?
What happened with Bill Shaw, and Cecil Blackwood? I do not know when J.D. Summer joined the Blackwood Brothers.
A little late to respond but Cecil Blackwood died in November of 2000. J.D. Sumner joined Blackwood Brothers in 1954 left in 1965 when he took over The Stamps Quartet. John Hall joined and sang with BBQT 1965-68. London Parris joined from 68-72. Ken sang with them from 1972 to 85 or 86...
Bill Shaw sang 1952-1973 and at reunion specials. Pat Hoffmaster then sang 1973-1980. Both Bill & Pat have passed on the heaven. This video was made around 1993-1994.
I'd say Ken Turner got a stern talking to afterwards from the reaction of James towards the end lol lol.
Why?
Master Of Sub Harmonics
Mr. Ken Turner!
Great quartet! James Blackwood maintained an exceptional set of pipes until the end. I bet that Ken Turner also plays brass instruments; his imitations are far too good to have been done by someone unfamiliar with the techniques involved in brass playing.
I love that Bass, he had a unique voice
Has, not "had". He may be over 80 now, but the voice is still there (as far as I know).
@@sebastianwendl603 yes i had to google it!!!!! 80 years old now wow!!!! what a living legend!!!!!!
how tall is ken? lol he is massive
I believe he is 6'4" or 6'5", about the same height as J. D. Sumner.
@@EnchiladaMan360 What is tall !
Great and very happy songs. James is a very enthusiast guy. Ken, the bass, is just fantastic.
I just transferred my VHS of this video to DVD today.

What will we say when we stand before the throne of judgement.God loves us and Jesus died for us to be forgiven. Please accept Jesus as your Savior.
Their version of "This Old House" is just as good as The Cathedrals!

KEN TURNER IS MY UNCLE
I'm a bass singer without a crew and Ken Turner is an inspiration. Thank you!!!
Who is this baritone?
Ray Shelton who owned the group previously the senators
Wow. That's some talent he/they've got. Outstanding!
God bless and protect all Chicago, God bless and protect all America.
Are you talking about Satan?
Como se llama el hombre del lavoz bajo del trambon?

Too bad the harmony isn't richer.

Ken Turner é ótimo
O baixo é alto e o pequeno é alto kkkk
Somente have the lyrics of the song?
I’ll be contrary. I never liked Ken Turner or his vocal fry and shaky pitch. I also didn’t appreciate the way he told tales out-of-school about JD after he passed.
What are you listening to?
@@charlesbean1500 Is that supposed to be a question or a comment?
Shelton looks unhappy
Showman forever :D
👍
Just wonderful.
KEN TURNER IS MY UNCLE
Ken is a terrific bass, but he hams it up way too much. It ruins some of his songs.
