The Fuzz Rangers is a two-in-one Fuzz/Treble Booster capable of both vintage tones and new stacking combinations for all you tone seekers. The Fuzz section is built around a Arbiter-inspired circuit sporting two NOS BC108 Silicon transistors and carbon comp resistors for vintage voicing and response. Formula B’s goal was to tick all the boxes like low noise, excellent volume cleanup and compatibility when placed after wah pedals. It’s also designed to flourish when hit with a hot incoming signal from the boost side. The Treble Booster is a simple one knob, single transistor circuit like the Rangemaster which actually shaves off low end and shapes the mids to make an overdriven amp cut through.
To expand on this, the Boost comes with a 3-way cut switch so you can choose how much low end is shaved off or preserved. This also has a huge impact when stacking fuzz and boost! Speaking of stacking, the order toggle switch lets you choose either Boost into Fuzz or Fuzz into Boost which completely changes the saturation, compression and voicing when both effects are interacting. Plus, this latest version of the Fuzz Rangers has the added feature of relay-based true bypass switching and a hidden feature to simultaneously switch both effects on/off with either footswitch.
Like all formula B creations, the Fuzz Rangers is all analog and filled with hand-selected components in Italy. Find out more at FormulaB.it

Following Andy for more than 10 years now. One of the first reviewer from YT. Thank you for your job!
I really appreciate you watching all these years! Happy to help ✌️
Congrats with 50K subs, you deserve ten times more!
Thank very much Carlos!
Hey Andy, wishing you well as we come to the close of 2023. Thank you!
Killer tones . Your intro tunes are always monsters.
Thanks!
Thanks so much! These tunes are all made for the demos. I base them on loose ideas, this one just followed the drums loops I had loaded up. ✌️❤️
Do you take these gold nuggets and make a “complete” song? then put them in a “collection” ? I am myself and others would buy it!
Always a pleasure to watch your demos, mostly because of the music rather than the equipment!
Thanks so much! Music is always the end goal here 👍🏻
Andy could play a washtub bass and a harmonica and still blow anyone else off the stage.
INSANE!!! intro Andy!! That VANTAGE what nodel is!! HONESTLY thanks to you i am a very proud owner of a VANTAGE VA-900!! i foung it for nothing in a PAWN shop MINT with original case!! thanks Andy
Hey I appreciate the kind words! Yes Vantage is still a hidden gem, mine is an Entertainer VE-565. I had the bolt-on but prefer this set neck model. Thanks 🙏
What a cool pedal
Love this company.
I’m about to sell one of my Fuzz Faces, towards one of these, and the Uni Vibe they make is high quality.
If one can’t afford the Sabbadius’s and Argenziano’s, etc., Formula B has an excellent one with two speed controls and expression capabilities,(I think one has to ask for the exp jack) at about $200 less.
I have the Formula B Vintage Vibe, and it is outstanding! Just got the Fuzz Rangers direct from Formula B, and it is equally outstanding. Best money I’ve spent on pedals. Marco is the king!
Wow, a Vantage! Don't see those very often any more.
Thanks, yeah! This one seemed pretty special, a set-neck Entertainer model. Not the usual pawn shop prize neck-thru from the 70s.
Opening riff sounds like a very bluesified version of “Destination Unknown” by Missing Persons
I can hear it now! Thanks!
Andy- fork to your nose, if you had to choose treble boost before or after fuzz, which would it be? They both have their advantages it seems.
There’s not one setting that is better, just different! As I showed, TB into Fuzz is more chiseled sounding where Fuzz into TB maintains the compressed/squishy feel of fuzz. If I were playing single coils, I’d go Fuzz first but probably TB first when using HB. Thanks!
Some of the tones have the old Peavey Lynyrd Skynyrd tones. Cool stuff.
Hi Andy, excellent and very useful demo! I have a question, I am currently looking for a treble booster. The fuzz ranger seems like a good deal due to its two-in-one nature. However, I'm hesitating with a dedicated pedal like Catalinbread's Naga Viper. If you've been able to test the aforementioned pedal and although this is subjective, which is the better treble booster between the two? (In terms of sound, versatility, background noise...) thanks in advance for your answer!
Hahaha Andy! What the hell was that opening track? and where can I get more!!
You just make
Me stack my pants
Andy, I think you're from Portland OR do you give lessons?
Hey thanks for watching! Sorry, I don’t give lessons, this gig is already full time.
Do treble boosters pair well with blackpanel style amps? I’ve heard they’re pretty much only for VOX/HiWatt amps
Every single treble booster I’ve demoed has been into this 65 Deluxe Rev. My advice is to play loud enough so it breaks up and also lessens the effect of the bright cap. Any Fender can benefit from a little low cut but the treble does get harsh if you’re not careful. Thanks!
Andy you are the man
Best wishes to you and yours for the holidays
@@kodykindhart5644 Really appreciate it! Happy holidays ✌️❤️
@@AndyDemos Thanks for the advice man, I appreciate it🔥
