www.bisqueimports.com Learn 3 simple methods for transferring an image to a piece of bisque: Contact Paper, Carbon Paper, and Tissue Paper. Music: B-3 by Boxcat Games
great thanks. was wondering if the carbon paper residue will burn off during firing and will the glazes have some beading effect/ clogging effect on the carbon ink
does the permenant marker burn off in the kiln? I would want to use tissue paper to transfer because it's cheap but if the black shows through the underglazes then I don't want. thank you
Yes, it burns off! We recommend using thin sharpies over regular for best results. This same technique can be done using water based markers as well, which also burns off in the kiln.
We always use underglaze when painting on a piece that is intended to be fired, and that is what contact paper will work best with. However, it should work ok with acrylic paint for an unfired craft project, but I would remove the sticky part while it is still wet, or you will not get a clean line.

@@BisqueImports When using tissue paper, do you put the pencil side down on the bisque or pencil side up before tracing over with a thin marker?
Love your video, great ideas, but I really don't understand what bisque is? Thanks for sharing😃
Bisque is clay that has only been fired once. Once it is glazed, it is then fired a 2nd time to create a finished ceramic piece.
for the contact paper, did you use an underglaze or regular paint?

BisqueImports Thank you!
This is not images transfer, it is copied to the clay by hand.
