I saw the Trews perform in Windsor Ontario 3-1-24. They were great. Guitarist came into the audience and then vocalist and other band members came into audience. When concert was over no one left and slapped for encore. They returned on stage and did another song. Great energized concert. I enjoyed it.
I can say the same! It really was a great show, love to see the energy in the audience too. I thought it was pretty sweet they mixed that little cover of “When The Levee Breaks” from Zeppelin in at the end! Rock on!!!
This band is literally playing legit 70s sounding rock! One of the greatest treasures on Canada. I am an American, but I have to say the Canadians always beat us in the caliber bands they produce. I swear there is something in the water up there!
I forget this song, then every few years I hear it on the radio and sing along to every word. Finally decided I needed to look up who sings it! Such a good song
Saw these guys at my university campus pub many years ago. Great show! They not only rocked their hits which were big at the time but also did a few excellent Stones covers which they spliced into their own songs. And a really small venue too. Such a fun night!
Just heard of this band on a Canadian radio station that I was listening to online. I really like this. I would say they're "retro," except this song is old enough that maybe it was modern when it was recorded in 2003 it sounded modern. Retro or not, this is a great sound. Really like both the guitarist and bass player. Solid lead vocal.
Their first 3 albums are brilliant. The others are still good but not quite to that level. Also be sure to check out their live acoustic LP Friends and Total Strangers. Just amazing. They're still going strong.
haha, this makes me feel old. I remember being a young kid hearing this in the summertime. Around that time, guns n' roses, aerosmith, and motley crew would have been considered "retro" and this was just a song that was played way too much on the radio. Now apparently, kids are calling the songs of my youth "retro." Ah, getting older sucks!
I've been coming back to this video for sooo many years with no comments til now. I went to see one of my favorite bands of all time The Screamin Cheetah Wheelies at something called Wheeliefest in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. It was a three day camp-out concert (These days they name the events and charge seven times the amount..) We met some Canadian campers the night before who told us they were there more for The Trews than they were the Wheelies and I didn't believe them. I saw their live set and I got it. Bought their record. Keep coming back to this video since it's easier than digging up the CD.
Hamilton GEMS! I'm from Newfoundland and got to see them a few times home but I went to see them every time I could in Hamilton they had some wild fun shows!
I've seen The Trews a few times now. Always a strong set. I'll see them again this summer with The Headstones. The remaining question is whether I see the two with Big Wreck or Tea Party. HMM.
Is there a connection between Nick Richards and the Trews? I've realized that his low quality video has 10x more views than this video, and it's ticking me off. Also... just noticed the audio cuts off here...
I seriously want to meet this person who edited these videos... I'm sorry if it was someone within the band... But my god, it's horrible The music is inspiring but damn.. just totally ruins it all. Now I just play the song on my iTunes along with the video. Timing that up is a task all on it's own.

Rip to you I bumped them as a child LOOL
They got no exposure in the US outside of KNRK (Camas, WA) before the Nick Berg incident and CBC Radio 3 on Sirius Satellite Radio.

Trews are awesome. Remember watching this on Much Music when it first came out.
So I literally just discovered this song via the Discover Weekly playlist on Spotify and I've been thrashing it all afternoon. It's so damn catchy!
Good boys from Nova Scotia.
Can't wait to see them on Saturday 🤟

The trews are the Canadian version of the black crowes.
I’ve heard this song for years and years and just now finding the name, it’s really not as popular as I thought. They’ve played it a shit ton.
Canadian boys 🤍❤️🤍
Got to love the poos
Colin MacDonald grew 3 sets of hair since this music video, hes unrecognizable but his voice hasn't changed

Mine just cuts out! So sad! :(
Clearly, it is a Canadian band!
