The only thing that beats an italian woman, is one who can speak it. :) I started learning not to long ago. Simply because italian women and how you/they speak is truly amazing. Such a beautiful language. I know the way I learn is on my own, I cant really learn full lessons from others, but ill stop in and watch your channel and get some tips, or even just listen to see how much mire I understand. It seems like you have a good thing going here, keep up the goid work. There is alot of people who admire people like you that love to help, just to help. :) With all that said, Tu sei bella! I am enjoying watching your videos. FYI, you are saying "redouble" when I think you mean "double." To double is to have 2 identical items. To redouble is to double that which has already been doubled. So you double the consonant "z" in a word like piazza.

I would explain this a bit differently. Double consonants belong to separate syllables. The first closes the first syllable, then it is used to open the second syllable. Bello is pronounced bel-lo, not be-lo or bel-o. Words should be practiced in syllables. Ep-pure, not e-pure or ep-ure. The problem is usually that the first syllable is not closed: ca-minare instead of cam-minare.

The possessive adjective is generally put before the noun in Italian, but there are examples, such as the one you mentioned (vieni a casa mia), where the adjective is after the noun to give it a special connotation. No one would ever say "Vieni alla casa mia", the correct way to say it is "vieni a casa mia". The same thing happens with the word "camera", which means bedroom: "Sono in camera mia". In this case, it is also possible to say "Sono nella mia camera", but it would not refer to my bedroom in my house. For example, I am staying in a hotel and say "sono nella mia camera/stanza", which is not actually yours. I guess saying "casa mia" and "camera mia" reflects a certain affection for the place you live in :) Hope it helps!

Sì, in un certo senso! Quando non ci sono le doppie consonanti (pena), il suono della vocale è più lungo :)
