This family was NEVER a “seemingly perfect family” I couldn’t stand the way Kate treated and talked down to Jon. She was plain rude. I couldn’t understand how he could put up with Kate and tolerate it, but he loved his kids.

He's all over social media, and does all these interviews making accusations or accusing Kate of doing something. You never hear from Kate, nor does she do interviews about Jon. He needs to grow up and stop trying to make everyone pity him.

@@LaraCroftEyes1 If you watch the old clips of when they were little and on tv the two other boys were always distant from him and were not accepting of him. Also when the camera's would have the 3 boys sitting together the other two would make fun of Colin's response when he would answer questions that they would be asked when there was nothing to make fun of him for.
It was always Hannah who would engage with him and play so that is strange to watch that behavior in little ones. So I am not surprised Hannah teamed up back with him again when they got older. Kate always called Hannah the little mother cause she was always doing caring things for the other triplets.
I grew up in a large family and its impossible for every child to get the attention they need and often there are the joining together with some siblings that go on for life.
Everyone needs to grow up in time and lay down differences and know no one is perfect not even them and they can repeat the childhood behaviors that need corrected to continue on in life and not affect others in relationships.
I know Kate calls Hannah a little mother.
You don't really get a deep mental evaluation when enlisting in the military. Not saying who is telling the truth one way or the other, but getting into the military isn't proof of mental stability.

Because she was a little girl with an abusive mom. Calling her out publicly is extremely inappropriate. That’s something that should be handled between Colin and Maddie.

Maddy is also the one who came home from school in a "BAD MOOD" and would go to Kate and John's bedroom until she felt like joining the family! Look bad at the episode. She was a nasty little girl who is following in her mother's footsteps!

@@debraronan8389 I won’t argue with that because you aren’t wrong. I just find it nasty to hold actions against someone they did as a child. When they aren’t even part of what happened. Hopefully she’ll see the light. Also pointing out going into a room alone when you are in a bad mood is actually really healthy coping mechanism. It isn’t nasty at all. Especially if you are being filmed. Like would you want to be filmed for the world to see when you were in a bad mood? I did that as a little girl and as an adult because I felt too overwhelmed and needed to calm down where I felt comfortable. It’s better to walk away than lash out. If we held everyone’s actions against them from childhood. There would be not many good people.

@@missyrose2154 She was a bully who abused her husband and her kids. She made her very young sick kids sleep on the laundry room floor so they would not make a mess in the house and so it would be easier to clean up after them. Most of us consider that child abuse.

On one show the family went Christmas shopping and when they were ready to pay Kate told Jon to go stand to the side with the kids. Kate went to pay for their purchases. All of a sudden Kate was yelling across the store saying to Jon,"what are you doing? Can't you see i need help? " After they left the store she yelled at him for just standing there not helping her. But keep in mind, she told him stand to the side with the kids. I wondered then why Jon didn't stick up for himself.
Kate was such a witch to Jon and sad thing is Mady grew up acting just like her.

I was the one who sit glued to the couch watching every single episode of their lives however after the divorce and trying to watch the Kate version ugh … it turned me off and I felt sorry for those children and for Jon too. Team Jon ❤

Not like she was before. She probably makes 40/ hr which is really good. But not compared to before.
@@NurseSue425 I ama retired RN. Since she is experienced she makes about 80,000 a yr. She has no kids at home now so she can get by. Her kids in college can get student loans like we all did.

Colleen was such a wonderful woman to Collin, Hannah, and Jon. I’m sad they didn’t work out but I’m so happy both Jon and Colleen were mature enough to allow the connection between Collin and Hannah to continue. Unlike Kate who doesn’t have that maturity level and parental alienation is her ‘thing.’
I remember that Hannah was Kate's favorite. Odd that she would want to live with her father.

I do think Collin became violent at one point. But he only became that way because of his treatment by his siblings and mother. What else would a young boy being a pariah in his own family do after years of abuse?
I’m happy to see that the older kids are doing well. I remember the show, the divorce drama. I’m VERY happy that no one is into drugs or other negative coping behaviors. I hope the younger ones go on to be happy & healthy as well.
This family had a great opportunity - once upon a time. There obviously had to be cracks in the foundations of this family. Once the money was introduced, it was like gasoline to the already fragile situation. Their family went up in flames - and still has not recovered.
Truly, I always did feel bad for them all. It's never a good thing when a family is ripped apart.

Kate is a total control freak who always came off as a mean, angry, unhappy person. I doubt she will ever be a happy person because she won't admit her own shortcomings and work on them. When one always blames their unhappiness on others because they can't see that they are responsible for their own happiness they will remain unhappy. Once one realizes happiness comes from within oneself and also from being grateful for everything you already have, that is when true happiness occurs!

Was a definite early 2000's show! Nobody could afford such a huge family without a reality show! U can see why they went their separate ways! Kate had to micro manage so many kids& show, he seemed like a deer in the headlights! He seemed hen pecked, his ego couldn't take it.Their relationship fell apart on national TV.

When you choose to have eight kids you can expect to encounter problems. Plus one parent who is very self centred. Kate’s behaviour was very toxic to the upbringing of the children. The TV show did not help either. I am glad to hear the children all completed their education and will continue on to college. May they continue to grow to be outstanding adults and put the horror of their upbringing behind them.
Who cares Jon can be in the public if he want to and the children can be in the public if they wants to so do the children if they want to they are all grown ups and there responsibility is how they do thing in there life.

I thought Collin joined the Marines. This is a US Army uniform, not a Marine Corps uniform.
Well, it could of been taken when, he was in the Army ROTC Program,if you heard and listened to the video he was in that Program first before he went into the Marines! Which would still explain while he’s in a green uniform which tells you,pictures haven’t been actually updated!

Kate was not the typical struggling single mom. She made a lot of money from TLC, it enabled her to live in a large house, with a team of nannies. She did not struggle.

These 2 are the epitome of how NOT to be a parent. Usually when couple split the problems are between the adults. The fact that there are so many intricate relationships here - a doesn't talk to b who doesn't ever want to see c....it doesn't get any sadder. There is a thing called "Parental Alienation Syndrome" a real diagnosis, where one or both parents poison the kids against the other parent. In essence they are used as the weapon of choice to hurt the other parent. They poison the kids relationship with the other parent and young children aren't going to know what is and isn't true. These sorry excuses for parents need to think about their kids for one and MOVE ON. Forget the lawsuits and venom and concentrate on the important things - your kids.
