@daviddbmd I am your daughter I am a medical student and you are my pattern in my life Please pray for me dear father Because I am trying to defeat my panic attacks and bad thoughts 🤍🌹
Video version of this is really fun too! Audio podcast still worth its weight in gold. Nice to be finally able to put live faces to the voices. Always enjoy the sense of humor in an otherwise serious topic of bringing life changing transformations to millions and just getting started. Great work and love the podcast!
Good to remember the basis, since we tend to forget. I agree with the oneness since I understand and appreciate it. However, almost everytime you talk about the 5 secrets of effective communication, half of the story is missing: the dark tetrad, "a set of interrelated negative personality features: narcissism, psychopathy, Machiavellianism, and sadism". Difficult to have a loving relationship with people having those characteristics. Few times on your podcast you talked about narcissism, but often you talk about relationships as if it didn't exist, whereas the dark tetrad constitutes about 7% of the population, which is not negligible.
You're right that there is a dark side to human nature and I do talk about it quite a bit. There are 2 aspects, at least. One is how to communicate with these individuals, especially when you are under attack. In addition, Carl Jung said that accepting our dark side is an important key to mental health and I agree with that very strongly. I don't know if this addresses your concerns, so let me know if this isn't on target and we can try again!
@@daviddbmd Thanks for your answers. Ok, maybe more explicitly, I have the impression that when a person A complains about a person B (actions etc), your automatic response is that A needs to reflect on their own actions, to take responsibility, which is positive in a way, but the problem I see is that if A complains about B who factually mistreated them, and the answer you provide to A is to not blame B, ultimately it sounds like blaming A, the factual victim in this situation.
Hi guys beautiful podcast! I’m curious to know though, if you’re familiar with the works of Eckhart Tolle? And if you are, if you might agree with one, or two, or more things he teaches. Thanks and have a great day the three of you.
@@daviddbmd The place where you ask a patient to imagine Jesus having Sex with Blessed Mary. It's sacrilegeous....you have really alienated the vast majority who consider Lord Jesus as sacred. I am really disappointed 😔😔😔😔😔😔

I find yours and his teachings interestingly similar sometimes
I don't follow him but know he is incredibly popular! Thanks!
A+!
Thanks Richard! Right back at you, an A+ comment! warmly, David
practical
Absolutely, thanks! david
Feeling good is acceptable, but Feeling Great is scandalous...It is a Philosophical issue that Dr. Burns is dealing with
A fascinating start! You've whetted my appetite and I'd love to hear more of your thinking! thanks, david
