I was ridiculed in 1997 for buying knipex tools , I’ve still got most of them and use them every day, the ones I no longer have, have been lost not broken.
Bach’s adjustables are the best! I have got two of every size.
I’ve also got a Halfords pro set of sockets and spanner’s ( lifetime warranty) never had to return a single one.

I was given a 15 inch Bacho adjustable about 45 years ago. It has served me on many pieces of steam machinery, road, rail and stationary, as well as many large parts of cars. I'd be lost without it.

    Fantastic video
The one tool that I can depend on is the genuine vice grips, I can't afford snap on, I've draper, Halfords and plenty in-between but experience has taught me cheap grips are a waste of time
As for the Milwaukee pr guys telling you what to say, sod that, calling a spade a spade suits me far better

All my life I always preferred to buy craftsman tool because there are fantastic, warrantied and the most important thing is if I broke something at the shop I worked at .I always new I could stop at the store on my way home and replace it. I never had to wait for the tool truck rapist to stop by whenever it was convenient for him. Fuck snap off tools.

Tool for me which is unmissable: super scraper gasket scraper
Has got a carbide edge and works a treat on getting rid of gasket residu.

Brilliant video Kurt, Thanks. Me? 76 y/o now and started work on my 15th birthday as Appretice Mech. Been in engineering all my life until retired. When I started I would buy 1 spanner a week if I could and I was told to get the best I could afford. I was also told to NOT buy bright shiney tools, if matt black was available, that's better stuff. Why I Asked ??? People don't pinch the black ones because they think it's crap. I've got some Britool stuff that's seen well over 50 years of work. Also in the early 60s when I started there was still lots of Ex WD (MOD) stuff from WW2 available for pennies. I've got ex US Army Snap-On 3/8 drive sockets that are now 80 or more years old and all still good. Over the years, like you, I've bought what was best for the job and it paid dividends in the long run. A few years back I wanted some 3/8 drive impact sockets and I got some Bergen, cheap as chips and as good as stuff 4 or 5 times the price. Spanners, I always liked Britool and, another I would buy was Stahlwille, not cheap but well worth the money. Totally agree you don't need to sacrifice your arse, some of the less expensive stuff is just as good. One final thing for Youngsters just starting out to remember-
THE MAN WHO LENDS TOOLS IS ALWAYS OUT !!!

A great comprehensive tool kit there melod. I must agree on not being a one brand man. I have Britool, Elora, King Dick, Knipex, Record, SnapOn, Sealey, Teng, Wurth and other named brand stuff. Much like power tools, I like a mix. Some of the stuff I have is unbranded or really old brands that have long since gone.

Good honest video and well used tools. I like the knipex and the Halfords lift time warranty can’t be beat. I have plenty of spanner’s but the best one are the extra long aviation spanner’s. Long straight spanner’s which put the max torque into nuts and bolts. Great for high torque bolts are suspensions. I bout the cheapest of Amazon and the quality is as good as you can get. Perfect fit and the have neaver rung a bolt.

Have made a lot of tools to do specific jobs as well. I have to say the pair of Britool pry bars I bought early on are something I could not do without, they have lots of uses. Oldest tools I have are a very large stilson type pipe grips, an American make which date back to about 1920 which were my grandfather's and still get used..

Yup Yer Lardship, I've had my share of " Uri Geller Tools " in me time. I Once told the Charming Snap-On Rep. " I Can Only afford Snap-Out-Of-It Tools on What I'm paid !" He finally gave up hounding me 😂
A Good Tradesman Will get it done with what ya got !

One tool I hate to be without is my Leatherman. Lost one recently, bought a replacement that evening. Currently using (and have for the past 4 or so years) the Bond because it's good, affordable and because of the non-locking blades I can just keep it in my pocket without thinking about it.
One tool that I think it's worth considering... difficult. Toss up between a bit ratchet set and the Snap-On LN46ACF slip joint needle nose. You seem to have everything else!
The Bahco bit-ratchet set is very good and they're only about £20. I relatively recently upgraded to the Facom R1 Pico with the flex head, it is better but it's not 3-4 times better. The Facom set doesn't have the 7mm which I had to borrow from the retired Bahco set.

Super video LM. Even though I don't mind making the click click sound myself, a good torque wrench comes in handy sometimes.

Before battery powered nut removers always had trouble finding a socket slide bar which wouldn't bend when putting an extension tube on it.
Go to socket sets 45yr old Kamasa 3/4,3/8,1/4
    Draper 1/2 rusty set
Got to Richmond 3/8 set for worn nuts, quality.
Wouldn't be without 13mm,17mm,19mm Halfords ratchet spanners no batteries required!
Only thing missing on your toolbox is labels, always opening screwdriver draw when needing spanners in the drawer below,
Great video! Sold me that knipex wrench thanks 😊

I have a claw hammer that was a gift from a friend which is of a very limited production run due to a potential of legal action, it is a metal shaft hammer with a bend in the shaft allowing a reach over hit. Beautiful hammer and sentimental.
As for what tool I would by, fckn all of it.

Bondhus Allen keys , the amount of force you can apply to them and still hold there shape and not snap, plus cheap as chips for the quality. i use a set of the folding ones daily on stainless cap screws and other workmates with cheap allen key just round off the ends . As for a suggestion for a tool for you i would suggest Facom does a 1/4" drive socket set in a case that fits in the palm of your hand and has a real clever wee ratchet for tight spaces.R.360NANO 1/4" Drive Socket Set

I've had an old Swiss army knife in my tool box for years. It has been used as a hammer, screwdriver,( normally the crosshead)leaver, saw knife. In Fact everything it was designed to do I've used it for and more. All doors have to be locked, guards posted and full searches carried out if it goes missing.

Mag drill /rotabroach absolute must for putting holes in steel. I have a half inch drive ETC brand socket set that I got in 1973 or 4 cannot remember which exactly, made in Japan still going strong, split one socket soon after I got trying to undo a lorry wheel nut, I had the T bar on it with a putlock on that the shop that supplied the set replaced the split socket. I told them How it split and was willing to purchase a replacement but they said it should not have split even though I was abusing it so they replaced the socket free of charge.
