i tried maxing out my speed a while back when i started grinding for red sand and mycelium collection since snail pet scales off speed. my set was 2/4 young drag, obsidian chestplate, and 500 speed rancher boots. I think I was around 1050 speed with the snail, a bunch of really small optimizations were made too, like forbidden speed from wither essence shop and enrichments set to speed

Racing Helmet, Obisidian Chestplate, Maxor Leggings, Rancher’s Boots w/ sugar rush 3, mythic black cat lvl 100, hunter knife, tuning points/reforge. Would’ve been better if there was a block to stop you when you hit the pressure plate at the end.
Btw I think obsidian chestplate would be faster AND cheaper then maxor cp
