I’m so glad as well. I’m surrounded with sight reading geniuses I guess because I thought I’m just a shit player since I can’t sight read my pieces perfectly first try. I’m soo glad that I can see a player who shows off a really realistic practice video
I have a suggestion for something to try to help you speed up your learning. Firstly being capable is very important and I see people trying to learn these pieces when they've only played for a week, not very helpful unless you want injuries. I would encourage anyone learning a hard piece, especially one with awkward polyrhythms and fingerings this this piece to sit down away from the piano and just look at the notes. Try to construct the piece or at least a general idea of what it should sound like and with this particular example, how the rhythms fit in relation to beats. I would personally spend a bit of time on some easier parts just to get motivation, but most of my practice is spent of the hardest sections of a peice. For example if I am going to learn Chopin Ballade No. 1, spending more time on the coda and waltz will be much more effective then spending all your energy on the first 2 pages. Metronome will do a lot of the thinking for you but don't become reliant(thought I'm sure no one actually wants to practice with metronome). I'm sure you're doing great just keep up the practice. Oh and trust me, slow pracc is much more effective then fast pracc ;) Edit: Oh and btw I wrote this reply as a joke I realize Chin1612 was joking but I hope it helps someone one day

if this is real, then you shouldn't rush on your self and learn this piece (even though ppl think it's really a difficult piece which is not if you go deep into the sheet music ^^ ). I would suggest you to go level by level and start from basics (Beyer, Bach Anna Magdalena, Czerny op 599, Scales and hand exercises) and increase your skills without rushing your self on pieces that would waste your time and you might learn it with wrong hand techniques and that would be the worst :) i hope you don't get me wrong it's just a recommendation ;)

I'm 32 almost and I've quit many times but came back after months or years. When u feel u need a break just take it. And come back. Maybe ur motivated next time and don't want to quit anymore :) And find suitable songs to play! Enough interesting but simple, I just found joy of playing some Erik Satie's piano pieces.

yup, also took me about four weeks, but just to learn the notes, up to the first line lol i figure i can get the whole thing in maybe one year if im lucky.
This made me realize I give up way to quickly into the learning process- I thought a week was long to learn a song and I’m glad that I’m not as slow as I once thought.
This is definitely a piece of music that takes time to be internalized. Have patience and go on work on it. It goes well into the movement memory. The middle part is demanding because it repeats itself constantly. Here it is important to create new nuances with every repetition.
this makes me feel so much better. just getting to know and memorize the notes has always been the hardest part for me, and it’s so refreshing and encouraging to see that after you made it through the piece and felt more comfortable with the notes you were able to then get the timing and speed fairly quickly. thank you for this video, i think i’m gonna go practice now :)

On 10 years ago I learn this song when I can't read notation and never have music study at all.. But my father give me a challenge,, if I can learn and play this song well just in a month,, he will give me some money.. So every after I back from school,, I'd learned it by MIDI.. My fingers followed every notes that showed on MIDI player.. At first,, I'd never believe that I'll can do it without study at music school.. But finally,, I can play this song now.. I've learned it without teacher and sheet music at all..

Well done just in 4 weeks! Very inspiring to see the progress of learning. My godson started learning piano two years ago. He just turned 10 year olds this year. He took 2-3 weeks to learn and memorise this whole piece recently. I think he has serious gift from God! I love to pick up classical music again (played many years ago). However, I’m very hesitate if I have the will to put in all the hard work 😅

Impressive, I've started playing on piano about 1-2 months and it's still difficult for me to play chords and read notes, however I'll never quit piano and practice as much as possible, 10 years that's super great you're amazing!
You have to be patient and study a lot. Learn music and plays piano is not easy and it takes years and discipline.At least if you want to play Classical music.It is a long way but at the end you will have this treasure for all of your life.

Reza Ganefi idk , but I can explain my way: When a note is not in the correct position (when you play a note later than the other but there are really close ) then I make a circle ⭕️ around the note for the left and the right hand 🤚🏼 I hope u understand what I mean

This song literally took me a week to learn. I’m not even kidding because I listened to this song so much, I know it by heart I also practiced Moonlight Sonata Mv3 before and for some reason, my hands became magical and made learning this song super easy.

I played piano for 2 years and dropped it for 4 years and now I’m back to playing for 1 :)). This is my goal rn, because this is one of my favorite songs.
I love watching the learning process and progression, it can be so enlightening. I thought it moved very quickly from just notes to music - well done. (I also loved the outfits, as a man I appreciate your style). And what can I say about your treats - I think we all do that). As far as listening to another version of the same piece I find that hearing it in my head helps my fingers know what to do, there is no law against doing this and i'd be very happy if it was true that I could mimic someone else's style just by listening (during the learning process) - music is far more complex than that.

Sorry i can't read partitures and not taking any piano lesson, but i can play chopin ballade no. 1 with my ears. But i'm really sad that i can't read a music sheet 😂

When a note is not in the correct position (when you play a note later than the other but there are really close ) then I make a circle ⭕️ around the note for the left and the right hand 🤚🏼

@@steffanyr1038 video proof or it didn't happen lol, Chopins Ballade No. 1 is an extremely difficult piece and it has alot to it, especially the coda I'm in doubt you can just play it by ear without taking lessons or being able to read sheet music

I played piano for 2 years and dropped it for 4 years and now I’m back to playing for 1 :)). This is my goal rn, because this is one of my favorite songs.
I love watching the learning process and progression, it can be so enlightening. I thought it moved very quickly from just notes to music - well done. (I also loved the outfits, as a man I appreciate your style). And what can I say about your treats - I think we all do that). As far as listening to another version of the same piece I find that hearing it in my head helps my fingers know what to do, there is no law against doing this and i'd be very happy if it was true that I could mimic someone else's style just by listening (during the learning process) - music is far more complex than that.
