I’d say the reason super janemba was beating ss3 Goku so badly was because his moveset was very unpredictable. In the fight goku was holding his own when trying to throw hands but once Janemba started using the dimensional tricks & magic, Goku didn’t have an answer thus him losing
Janemba is confirmed the strongest Z movie villain Hirudegarn beat Ultimate Gohan like nothing. And who knows how much stronger that Z cast was compared to Buu Saga. We can quite obviously say. Super Janemba is relative to Buuhan but with greater AP and AOE. Also for the reason Gogeta finished off Janemba extremely fast was because unlike Buuhan, there was nothing to save. Janemba was thankfully a single entity, and had to be eliminated immediately.

If this is truly the case, then Gogeta has a higher maximum output in terms of power or techniques, or some sort of edge; Vegito may be implied to grow fast enough in just about or more than 30 minutes to match thew higher strength of Gogeta. Again, up to your interpretation; in regards to how this translates to the fight, I think it doesn't safely place Janemba or Buu over the other. It COULD be Janemba if the soul punisher legitimately focuses on malice altogether, so there you go...

It's not '30 minutes, no matter what you do no matter if you throw out 17 Final Flashes and 5 Stardust Breakers' It's really 30 minutes if he sat down and did nothing. And, in Normal Form I'd assume. So Super Saiyan wouldn't even last 30 minutes, even as a Super Saiyan Grade 4 with perfect control. It's still 'some' energy. 28 minutes then let's say, if he sat down and did absolutely nothing except stay Super Saiyan.
Buuhan was not a threat to Base Vegito. Base Vegito hit him with the same combo Buuhan pulled, and almost one shotted him. Hell, If Super Vegito was out for Buuhan's life he would have taken it and we're shown it multiple times. A casual big bang attack turned Buuhan into chunks.

Super Janemba vs the Z Buus is still debatable but if we're using DBS Buu, then it's only fair we use Black Janemba, who objectively negs all Buus, even the Heroes ones. The only Buus you can argue beat Black Janemba is a Fortnite or Jump Force Buu, simply because there's no evidence for a Jump Force or Fortnite Janemba.

I always assumed the Janemba movie takes place way after Buu is gone on an alt timeline where Buu is defeated but Goku and Vegeta stay dead. How else would Goku have time to compete in another otherworld tournament
I’ve always thought this movie took place after Goku first fight with Majin Buu. That also explains why Gohan isn’t in his ultimate form and goku only referencing Majin or “fat buu” in the movie. My interpretation is basically Goku in this movie universe kills original buu and probably taught the kids how to fuse then return back to other world (with the movie taking place right after that). I think this makes more sense this way then people tryna squeeze this movie into the original timeline of Super buu birth cuz frankly it doesn’t make sense 😂. Also placing the movie after the defeat of Kid Buu also doesn’t make sense cuz as u mentioned Goku and Vegata is still dead. P.S: Toei was working on this movie during the beginning of the Buu arc way before all the super buu shenanigans let alone what came after. With no way of knowing how the buu saga manga would conclude, they prolly assumed Goku SSJ3 won against Fat Buu during the early stages of making the movie.
You can compare Super Janemba to Super Buu, Super Buu Gotenks and Super Buu Gohan. Because Goku said he needed Gogeta or Vegetto to beat them. It's not clear where exactly Super Janemba is in the scale, but i think it would be a very hard battle for both. Maybe Buu would end up winning because his regeneration powers.

However Koyama stated that they were forced under the rule that every movie villian that Goku faced had to be stronger than the previous one which makes Hirudegarn>>>>Super Janemba. These make it impossible to use later shaking feats as judges of power, so your right shaking feats are a horrible inconsistancy.

I dont agree Vegito and Gogeta are relative. The scaling between inverse and movies are too different. And the databook scan says that Gogeta is stronger within 30 minutes, which was the length of its transformation. There's no indication within that statement of the implication that Gogeta would only edge him a little more.
Broly has been defeated by family kamehameha (two ssj2 plus a little ssj), while goku ssj3 (which is x4 a ssj2) could not stand any chance against super janenba. Thus, peak broly Z is at max at a level between Early fat bu and Super/kid bu. Super Janenba destroyed goku ssj3, so its obviously much stronger than base super bu and kid bu. Gogeta ssj fought janenba with the intent of killing it, while vegito had to save his frineds from inside bu so he played with buuhan. Is then safe to assume that Super janenba is in the same tier as Buutenks and buuhan, thus being the strongest movie villain and the second overall strongest villain after buutenks/buuhan.

Vegito is not going to 'grow fast enough to match Gogeta' Gogeta starts off stronger, Gogeta also 'is more balanced' He uses less energy to do anything, even to exist. Vegito is supposed to be permanent, that's the kicker for him. So the 'less energy to exist' doesn't matter in DBZ unlike DBS I shouldn't even mention it. He still uses less energy doing anything anyway.
But, the fight will become more one sided in Gogetas favour as it goes on. Gogeta wastes less energy. Gogeta, 'Fusion is more balanced' 'the fighters can draw out their power to the max!!' And that's comparing DBZ Anime Gogeta to DBZ Anime Vegito. Not Movie 12. Movie 12 Gogeta beats both of the DBZ Anime Gogeta and Vegito at the same time pretty easily. There's no comparison it's a completely different league. Even Fat Janemba, is stronger than the Movie 12 timeline Majin Buu AKA Super Buu I assume is the highest he got. I doubt Gohan beat Buutenks in that Movie 12 timeline so...it's gotta be Super Buu. Even FAT JANEMBA, is stronger than him and probably by a lot. Goku makes it clear with the same kinda lines he said about Hatchiyack and Broly.
As the fight drags on, for 5 or 10 minutes is all it will take by the way, the gap in their energy level their 'power level' will become larger and larger, until Gogeta wears Vegito out and starts to easily dominate the fight. And then there's about 20 minutes left, not accounting for energy blasts thrown around or whatever. So 30 minutes VS permanent comes down to Gogeta not making his fusion time shorter by wasting energy.
It's not '30 minutes, no matter what you do no matter if you throw out 17 Final Flashes and 5 Stardust Breakers' It's really 30 minutes if he sat down and did nothing. And, in Normal Form I'd assume. So Super Saiyan wouldn't even last 30 minutes, even as a Super Saiyan Grade 4 with perfect control. It's still 'some' energy. 28 minutes then let's say, if he sat down and did absolutely nothing except stay Super Saiyan.
Buuhan was not a threat to Base Vegito. Base Vegito hit him with the same combo Buuhan pulled, and almost one shotted him. Hell, If Super Vegito was out for Buuhan's life he would have taken it and we're shown it multiple times. A casual big bang attack turned Buuhan into chunks.

I always assumed the Janemba movie takes place way after Buu is gone on an alt timeline where Buu is defeated but Goku and Vegeta stay dead. How else would Goku have time to compete in another otherworld tournament
I’ve always thought this movie took place after Goku first fight with Majin Buu. That also explains why Gohan isn’t in his ultimate form and goku only referencing Majin or “fat buu” in the movie. My interpretation is basically Goku in this movie universe kills original buu and probably taught the kids how to fuse then return back to other world (with the movie taking place right after that).
I think this makes more sense this way then people tryna squeeze this movie into the original timeline of Super buu birth cuz frankly it doesn’t make sense 😂. Also placing the movie after the defeat of Kid Buu also doesn’t make sense cuz as u mentioned Goku and Vegata is still dead.
P.S: Toei was working on this movie during the beginning of the Buu arc way before all the super buu shenanigans let alone what came after. With no way of knowing how the buu saga manga would conclude, they prolly assumed Goku SSJ3 won against Fat Buu during the early stages of making the movie.
You can compare Super Janemba to Super Buu, Super Buu Gotenks and Super Buu Gohan.

However Koyama stated that they were forced under the rule that every movie villian that Goku faced had to be stronger than the previous one which makes Hirudegarn>>>>Super Janemba. However you know who also shook the entire earth by powering up that's stated? Nappa and Sayain saga Vegeta both did, so if you actually try and make shaking things by powering up directly related to thier power then Nappa and Sayain Saga Vegeta=SSJ3 Buu Saga Goku ROFL.

Such as Piccolo kicking Frieza, Kid Trunks kicking Fat Buu, Base Goku Punching Bojack, and Goku getting hurt by bullets. Super Perfect Cell fucking up Gohan's arm IS NOT one of these. The 2 Goku powerup scenes are an inconsistancy. The Nappa one was stated by Piccolo and Tien that the entire earth was shaking, and Goku was the one who said Vegeta was shaking the entire planet. These make it impossible to use later shaking feats as judges of power, so your right shaking feats are a horrible inconsistancy.

And the databook scan says that Gogeta is stronger within 30 minutes, which was the length of its transformation. There's no indication within that statement of the implication that Gogeta would only edge him a little more.
