Learn How to Clean Out a Coolant Expansion Tank
Clear plastic expansion tanks must have seemed like a good idea at the time, and they are in a sense. A plastic expansion tank allows you to see a fluid level, which makes keeping an eye on things much easier. However, those pretty white tanks also have a habit of trapping rust and mineral particles floating in the coolant stream and presenting them as an ugly orange stain. Restoring an expansion tank, however, is no more difficult than cleaning out anything else with a nasty, rusty ring with HARPIC BATHROOM CLEANER.

It was the hardest to get the results was the yellowness of the coolant tank. Scrubbing is dead useless here since the yellowness you can see on coolant tanks is the result of a chemical reaction. The only solution is to whiten bleach out the ugly yellow color out of the coolant expansion tank.

P1680 error bata raha hai Tata Indigo ecs CR4 model pe , kuch mechanic turbocharger kharab hai bol rahe hai. Check engine light right side wala glow kar raha hai aur engine race lene pe kabhi kabhi black smoke ata hai kabhi nahi ata hai. Please help.

😁😀ji ha kar sakte hai lekin harpic ko ache se wash karna hoga 8 se 9 time warna coolent reaction kar ke kharab ho jayega.
Harpic me kuch amount me sulphuric acid rehta hai. Acche se saaf nahi kiya to engine ke metal se aur gaskets se react karke kharaab kar sakta hai 😆
Mere pass ford fiesta aur iski coolant tank kala ho rahi hai thoda grease type pakadthi hai . Maina pura Clean karaya tank aur coolant be flush karke Naya dala 5k km ki badh same ho raha hai kya problem?

Yes definitely you can repair it just heat a metal and touch the body of tank where is the crack.
Probably, just don't try doing it with a hot iron - you'll just make it worse.
The tanks are usually made with polyamide plastic, there should be a marking of whether it's PA, PC, ABS etc. Polyamide can be dissolved in formic acid (or ant acid), and by that you can glue the crack together.
The idea is - find a solvent for your type of plastic and "weld" it properly.
