@@MythSamaelFFXIV You're entertaining, listen to the comments, but not afraid to still be the way that makes you, well you as a content creator, ofc you are good enough :D
hard disagree on removing positionals. the combination of staying in melee range and doing positionals is one of the more fun aspects of playing melee imo. while EW boss design has made it much easier to do both, i still find a lot of enjoyment in optimizing my positioning throughout a fight. it's minor thing, but it's what made me fall in love with monk in shb, and the melee role as a whole. having no limit on your movement is the reason i find it so difficult to get into ranged physical, like it's missing a key gameplay loop . Viper has 6 positionals btw lmao
Is ranged tax really only due to positionals? I find that it's also due to that Ranged can keep a near 100% uptime while moving around the arena of most of the fights? Well, tbf that brings me to the thing I hope to see in DT, can we have smaller hitboxes of bosses again? Some fights I can reach the boss in 90% of the arena as a melee(P9S as an example), feels odd.
Diving deep into an expansion that is not yet released, and have not received all the information for. Aside from the points that you don't know aren't in Dawntrail yet, the comments for each point were funny and made me chuckle.
Virtually all of these points are based on questions people asked Yoshi P and the answers they got during the fan fests, Speech bubbles for example Preach asked about, Glamour system multiple creators asked him about, Ranged tax and positionals were asked about by Quazzi i believe of the top of my head or maybe it was artharrs . Admitedly no information on wether all gearsets will be dyable or not BUT weve never recieved info like this prior to a drop and every expansion so far has had them so maybe i took a little liberty with that But thanks for the compliment ! Making people laugh is the intention x
@@MythSamaelFFXIV They have stated they are working on speech bubbles I believe? And at least Preach mentioned on his stream after that fanfest that Yoshi did tell him they were working on introducing them. The glam system definitely needs working on, and they are always constantly trying to improve it. Whether they can get it up to a level that everyone expects depends on the backend of the system I guess. They shouldn't remove positionals IMO. They are barely a few % points of difference come the end of a fight and allow melees to try further optimisation. I don't see why people want them removed. The ranged tax has been addressed in another comment on the vid, but essentially equates to ability to deal damage while dealing with mechanics. Arguably, there has been less trouble for melees in recent times. (currently melee main)
Yes, He was told they were in the pipeline where as this video is about what Dawntrail is launching without ( I was responding to your innitial comment ). Positional's are impactfull actually around 15% in fact if you look at ninja aeolian edge for an example where as the ranged tax is a flat 10% meaning that even at peak there is an unnecessary 5% disparity that i dont believe should exist considering it basically removes the ability to run double range in statics which i feel is not good for the game. Its been handled better in other mmos and the fight designs are significantly more complex and range isnt as easy, Certainly bard and dancer whom can make a single mistake and use a proc out of order and suddenly ther chasing there own tail the rest of the fight
@@MythSamaelFFXIV So they COULD be in Dawntrail. We are yet to know otherwise. We also still have 1 live letter to go where information can be provided. Yes, each positional is a difference of around 15%. However, you don't actually hit your positionals on every GCD. Only once or maybe twice every 6-10 seconds, or a bit longer if you're Reaper. I'll use P10 as an example because you can't miss positionals on a wall boss: As a Reaper - Gibbet and Gallows were 6.7% of my overall DPS each. If I were to have had the same DPS & same number of positionals on a normal boss and missed all of the positionals, my DPS for JUST THOSE SKILLS would be ~2% less. Which, over the course of a fight is actually not that bad, and why positionals do not matter, but are also nice to have in the game. edit: and for informational purpose, the potency % increase for positional on both skills is 13% (460-520)
For informational purposes Its 15 %. Aeolian Edge Base combo potency - 380 Positional bonus potency - 440 440-380= 60 380/100 = 3.8 =1% 60 / 3.8 = 15.7 = 15.7% If you listened to the beginning of the video I said what Dawntrail is launching without not that they wouldn't show up at some point in the future
Range tax exists because phys ranged is the only role in the game that doesn’t have a caviat attached to their damage. Take melee for example, if there is an aoe covering the hitbox Melee has to make a decision if they can get just out of range, or if not, get that last gcd out and bounce, risking getting hit. Casters have their cast bar, they have to decide if they finish the cast or use an instant cast that either does less damage or costs resources, to avoid taking damage in an aoe, ranged phys can stand wherever they want, and move whenever they want. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing because it gives them a role to play when you need to bait attacks. But people generally like a risk associated with their reward. I’m all for taking the range tax away, if they give ranged phys something to think about other then their rotation and where they should be standing, there’s a third thing every other job has to think about between those two.
The thing is it doesnt line up. If you look at ninja for example the damage dif between a flank / rear bonus and not is 15%. The range tax is a FLAT 10% and again modern fights most certainly give them more to think about and i think its a travesty that the only comp that gets scoffed at is double phys ranged because of this
@@MythSamaelFFXIV yea, but all other roles have to deal with those same mechanics while dealing with either max melee or casting bars. There’s no point where it’s “hard enough” for ranged, because at that point it will be too hard for everyone else, and I don’t disagree itd be nice to see other team comps like double ranged, so why not have something like a “effective range” mechanic that determines the damage of your attacks based on how close or far you are, if drill does max dmg 40y out, you’re there and there’s an aoe on you, NOW you’re playing the same Game as casters and melee. With 10% more damage on ranged phys, melee and blm are gonna be safe but why would you play smn- (scratch smn they don’t cast) why would you play rdm outside the Rez? You get out damaged by every other dps and you still have to deal with the cast bar half the time. Where ranged phys can just focus 100% on their rotation and mechanics. I’m not saying ranged tax is the solution, it’s a band aid. Id much prefer getting rid of it and putting in something like effective range so all the roles are equal.
Yeah i think there is plenty that can be done and has been done that isnt just essentially a fuck you label for playing ranged. Also again i hate how the buff from positionals is not equivilant to the range tax meaning your suffering 5% just because. I also think its very easy to make range complex and arguably they have done that, The punishment on bard for example for using procs out of priority order is huge and then you have dancer and machinist that have relatively complex burst windows to try and manage which can be cucked by modern fights
As a machinist main, I would love the removal of the range tax. But I'm also more understanding of ut because I don't have to worry about a cast bar and it's not a major dps loss for me to have to back away from a boss. Tbh, the only time I struggle with movement is during my heat blast windows (and that's mostly my fault for organizing my bar sub-optimally). And, tbh, my damage is still pretty good. I'm not gonna be racing for world first, but that's because I suck, not because I'm a machinist main
Thats fair, I just think there is better ways to do it and dont think ranged should be punished for how they play and tbf the range jobs typically have more complex burst windows or things they have to land in tight spaces. Also the positional potency increase on ninja is 15% the damage tax on ranged is 10% so already its not a fair balance. IDK i just hate how Phys ranged players also get ducked in content causee running double phys ranged is nothing but a damage nerf to the party
I do want to add something to the glamour system. Would love to see them add the ability to store multiple glam appearances on a piece of gear. I have a certain look I like to have on my RDM, SMN, and BLM but I have to keep multiple glammed up gearsets taking up space in the armor inventory to have my unique looks for each caster job or any job that shares the same type of gear. I think it's the one thing I loved about the transmog system in WoW when I switch disciplines on a class. Like going from a arms warrior to fury warrior. Still have the same armor on, but the appearance changed to what mog I had saved for that discipline and vice versa.
Thank you for sharing the spot about PTSD month, I had no idea that was now and that's something my mother suffers from, so cheers for raising awareness.
haha theres more coming ! and yes alot of people tend to miss it because of Pride so its absolutely worth shouting out x I had to split the video into 2 parts cause it was to long XD
I'm someone who disables speech bubbles in every game which has them. I still was surprised it wasn't even an option in this game, because I understand why others want them. It's a good option.
It’s not really a ranged tax, more of a support dps tax. Machinist and Black Mage deal fat damage but have little or no support utility, if you want Bard to deal more damage they would have to remove what makes it a Bard, same for Dancer.
Me and some ranndos in a random queue actually talked about this. The number 1 thing we agreed on is being able to change classes in dungeons within our roles. Like if you're a ranged dps and the other person is also a ranged dps you should have the option to change your class. Make it so you can do that while you're in the little circle at the start of a dungeon. If I had a dollar for everytime I queued a dungeon and forgot to equip my job crystal I could have a life supply of Fantasia for 5 people
A small addition to the first one - this really only affects roleplayers, but it would be SO NICE to have a feature that showed when people are typing. In text roleplay it can be really hard to tell when someone is waiting for _you_ to say something, or if they're just at slow typer. Having a feature like that would help to avoid those awkward moments.
@HyouVizer lmao that is awesome and feels like a joke you'd see in ffxiv the lalafell seem cute and wholesome but 90% of the npcs are lewd and vulgar in some or another lol
I dont mind it honestly. I think healing is in a good place in general and i have to temper what i want with the fact any job also has to be playable on console / controller
@@MythSamaelFFXIV I think it's in an awful place. We've had 5 years of "lethargically press 1 until your brains leak out of your ears from sheer boredom" and I can't take it anymore! Neither Consoles nor Casuals were an impediment for Stormblood's far superior offerings; not to be facetious, but I'm sure we can both agree that console controllers have far in excess of 1 single button. There's a reason Expedience got clowned on as "Combat Peleton" during Endwalker's announcement; it wasn't because the skill was bad, it was because healer mains (like myself) were angry that the devs ruined them in Shadowbringers, and have done nothing to fix their mess.
I dont see how they change this though, it seems your issue is with the dps side of a healers kit but the thing is with the new advancement system coming in for combos and such any editional buttons a healer gets will likely be a combo on the same button effectively making it the same. And making it much more complicated then that right now would be crazy with how promiment the add on problem is becoming, Well end up at a point were healers will be expected to achieve both peak heals and dps by people who dont understand how logs work and dont realise a healer stopping to heal reduces dps and vice versa and that will happen about 99% of the people who refer to logs dont understand how to read them properly
Honestly i really hope when we get them, speech bubbles are gonna get a way to turn off, like to me it just feels so incredibly cheap, ffxiv NOT looking like a korean shovelware mmo is a pretty sizeable bit of the enjoyment i get, and as bad as shout chat gets can you imagine if you couldnt turn it off? chat macros are already bad enough, imagine if that stupid black mage leylines macro pops up and obscures half the screen during your burst window and gets you killed, or people sprinting around the place with spoilers posted over their head. id really prefer to keep that to the chat box
Yeah i certainly understand the otherside of it however as weve had ways to alter basically everything else in the interface i cant imagine this would be an exception
@@MythSamaelFFXIV Yeah, I know, and I do recognize that it is a popular desire, that's why I don't say I hope we don't get them, because sure I may not like them but I also know I'm in the minority on that. I really hope when they are implemented theyre done well, I could even see collectible chat bubble outlines and stuff, the same way we have framer kits and stuff. I truly do hope they're implemented in a way that doesn't feel slapped on, and that it's everything that people want and more.
As a caster main...I agree wholeheartedly. Most of the bullshit mechanics are happening away from the bosses anyway and we are having to move around a lot.
Hot Take, Positionals was never hard just annoying.. when you have not a garbage Tank that keep the boss north without moving you can play all Positionals by standing on the left or right side behind the boss and move 1 Yalm aka 1 Lalafell right or left if you need back or rear. I also hear that they bring positonals to keep non Tanks behind the boss.. well.. my solution for that? Stand as Tank North, when you get targeted by a Tankbuster? Dont move.. the non tank run away or get _Obliterated_ because they get what eh f*.. ing deserve for staying on the wrong spot. There are more interesting way to makes the job harder then forced between going one step left or right for positonals.
Agreeed completely and it looks like 8.0 will be that time. I dont no if you have been watching the interviews but hes said that 7.0 was battles and gameplay then there reviewing jobs in 8.0
Well, i'll concentrate only on postionals and the so called "ranged tax". Aside that, first i wasn't aware there was something about PTSD, which don't really affect me in any way, but being affected with hyperphantasia (which is a common symptom of PTSD) i totally support the movement, and second i don't think supporting this movement prevent you to support pride month, even tho i get you have priorities and i respect them 😊. Now, about positionals... Well i kinda agree... If it wasn't for true north... I mean, it's why playing melee is the least enjoyable role for me, but even with that i mained samurai for the whole shadowbringer extension and enjoyed it very well before moving to bard at endwalker. Sure the positionals are hard to get, but usually, when a boss teleports / move, it means there is a mechanic to handle and that always come before your dps (unless you want the heals to hate you) and that's usually when your stacks of true north are required, and the boss rarely chain positional imparing mamechanics unless they're a boss that required no positionials in the first place. Now, talking of bard.... Let's move to the dps difference between melee and ranged. First, physicals : aside from machinist (which have a good dps but is garbage compared to melees), their dps really only is concentrated in their ability to buff the others. That's it, if you do the maths, a physical ranged do less than a melee, but is litteraly the backbone of a group (and that's what got me into bard for raiding). Second, the magicals.... Well black mage is kind of... The best dps in the game rn ? The others, yes they suck, but, the red mage is still great mainly for progress, since it have the most usefull feature for that : instant res almost unlimited. Regarding all that, i don't think there is a so called "ranged tax". It's just (for most of the ranged) a difference by design for some, and as in litterally all mmos, some fight will value some dps jobs more than others. Just look at the different raids stats and you'll see that it's forever shifting. That don't mean what you play is not viable and honestly the content is clearable with every job in the game. Hope i got my opinion on the subject clear ^^
So the 10% range tax is a direct thing and my main point really is that it doesn't account for the difference when landing positional in some cases is 15% but yes you made your point well ! I understood it I just have seen it handled better elsewhere and i prefer it honestly
This is funny, but I disagree with most of the list. Melee would be boring without positional. Range tax should be a thing, because why would you bring anything else if there wasn't...etc
I dont think moving to the left or right of a boss mid rotation adds any particular fun to it and youd still be moving due to hectic fight conditions. You just wont be penalised for it. And there is plenty of reasons to bring other things. The buffs for example for having 1 in every role and also because with positionals removed you can start introducing more fun and unique fight mechanics that make use of the various roles in differant ways whilst also removing this situation we have were u basically dont / cant run double phys ranged
5.) Yeah speech bubbles... dear god that would be nice. Even if only for quest stuff. 4.) I feel like there is a certain pocket theory to glamors. "They already have 20 slots, if we give them 20 more they'll just want 40 more." 3.) ... wasn't more dye options a design goal for the game? 2.) Im meh on it. Im one of those gamers who has felt that the game has gotten a little easy... but I also play DRG where the positionals are nice but not important. 1.) The only range I playu is RDM. Sooooo no opinion.
@MythSamael it would be one thing if tje dungeon sets were good looking, but so many of them come in awful colors that like you said are JUST off enough from actually available dyes to make our lives miserable. Also oddly since watching this I've decided I want to main Red Mage for this expansion. Because I'm at least stupid. Also I wish you a peaceful month, and thank you for making me aware of it. PTSD os an awful thing and I'm always happy to spread awareness. Much love you possibly evil potato!
Forget the range tax. How about that *REZ* tax that only SMN and RDM suffer from? Meanwhile, the devs talk about maybe removing the rez from SMN sometime in the future, and the RDM is just sitting there realizing that their future role is set as serving the exclusive purpose of picking up Dragoons off the floor in prog parties.
Another aspect that makes positionals kinda lame is that it kinda works counter to any kind of job fantasy of aesthetic that you're doing a ballet with the boss' backside. Makes you feel like the world's most cowardly dragoon or samurai, or worst of all monk. But then again I main tank because getting punched in the face repeatedly is what real main characters do.
The glamor issue is a data problem. To put into perspective how bad the memory/data situation is, they had to move the Dwarve tribe quests from Kholusia to Lakeland because Kholusia didnt have enough memory to support it. And youre asking them to have access to all of your glamor items. This is a longterm issue they have to address, and i believe they are looking how to implement it, hopefully they can.
Yeah i understand it was something like this but i dont believe my WoW comparison is misplaced. WOW also had this memory issue and still managed to do it .

100% agree with Positionals, tho it is fun on mnk I admit. 7.0 plz have all classes (least dps) know their dmg aoe gcd by LV15. It's too long for other classes to get it, LV38 Ninja, LV40 Dragoon to name a few.
"Shut the f*ck up, it's not Kink!" ... Yes.. yes it is. But seriously,... Are you supposed to say "Happy PTSD Month"? .. I guess another day you live with people who love and care about you is a happy one, so... yes? Also, I will not say happy pride, only because I do not support communities, I support individuals. So I will care about the struggles of those I know and love within my circle of friends and family and I will be their Ally no matter what their sexuality is. It's just a philosophy that I've grown up with to give respect and attention who reciprocate it. But enough about that... Also,... I feel called out because of Esuna.... Also also... Speech Bubbles could be a blessing and a curse. If you though Yellow chat was annoying, just think what could happen with chat bubbles.
I disagree with positionals and range rax. I personally don‘t mind positionals as that‘s making stuff a tiny bit more challenging in an pretty good way: it also isn‘t the one things preventing the range tax from being removed. The range tax exists because ranged players have no real caveats attached to their damage. Healers and magic dps have a cast bar and have to stand still and melee can‘t properly attack being far away. I also don‘t like how hit boxes are so fucking big recently.
I disagree i think range jobs are have there own complications have to deal with, As a former bard main one slup up has you chasing your tail for the rest of the fight and on top of this the range nerf isn't equivalent to the strength offered by positionals. Ninja for example the differance in potency of a rear / flank bonus and not is 15% were as the range nerf is a flat 10% Ontop of this its created a situation where in a static double phys range is a nerf and I hate that something like that exists.
Everything I've seen so far just seems like more of the same, so I feel like we're gonna have to wait until the post-patches to see if they actually learned from their mistakes in EW. Them doubling down on giving jobs long cooldowns with bloated potencies is not a promising start to me, though.
I liked everything you said until you made me imagine flying spiders. No like button for you, i now have to go pour bleach in my ears to purge the nightmare.
The glamour system is soooo annoying. Even the leveling, like my gawd man if I put something in my glamour chest can you please make the levels and roles irelevant so I can dress however I like??? I mean there's so many combinations I'd love to make that I just can't because I'm either level capped for some reason or it isn't the right job for the right glam that I then have to think too deeply about.
Thank you ! And i coudnt not, Sadly sometimes it can ended up being somewhat hidden by the spectacle of Pride month but its just as deserving to be mentioned x
I'm not a combat vet but my dad is. He served in the Korean war I didn't even know that until my 20's and wanted to get some Korean food. It was the first time I saw him get triggered and eventually refused to go. It was fine with me I didn't want him going through that, but I always wished he let us know before that happened. Eventually I had a few other friends who served in the middle east, and one told me that not asking what they went through and just saying I was glad to listen whenever they wanted to talk about it, made them feel so much more at ease meant a lot. So I'll say it again, if you ever feel like talking about it, I'll listen o/ Also, Lalafell hips can't like, they don't have hips to begin with.
Yeah middle east is this generations trauma, I did 2 operational tours in afghanistan. I cant stress enough to people about just asking or messaging people they havnt heard from. A random text showing care can really turn a bad day around on a pin head
5. I would rather not have speech bubbles cluttering up my screen, especially in places like limsa where I already have to put up with ability spam, bard performance, emote spam and other such obnoxious things. You can move your chat window you know? If it is that vital to you, can just put it somewhere you can read it easier. But who uses it for raiding anyway? I talk to my static in voice chat....even in PF people often offer for others to join a discord for voice chat
Its already been confirmed by yoshi P thankfully :P during media tour Though yes it should have them its the most basic feature of any mmo and i believe its the most requested
Its actually what this video is based on. All the things ive mentioned he was asked about and are confirmed to not be included in the launch of dawntrail which is what i opened with. Things dawntrail is launching without x
holy my guy slow down, need to watch the video at half speed to actually keep up with what you're saying, either that or keep the subtitles on screen in a lengthier text size instead of 2-3 words at a time.
ranged tax only exists because you can /move and shoot/ from up to like 30y away, while casters (who do as much dps as melee btw) have to cast, and melee have to be near the boss to hit. in an optimal setting yes you have 100% uptime on everyone and it seems strange that p-ranged does less, but there are /reasons/ behind it. also positionals arent hard and a lot of people enjoy them i think its just not your thing tbh, or skill issue ig.
I mean arguably more people don't, they were a good idea back when the fights were simpler. Yeah the range tax exists because of the positional difference however positional damage increased as a percentage point is 15% increase looking at ninja Aeolian edge as an example whilst the flat range tax is 10%. So there is a 5% disparity for arguably no reason it shouldn't justify the fact that its created an issue were double phys ranged is scoffed at. Ranged also have there challenges its not as different as it used to be and its done better in arguably every other MMO. But i guess you didnt really do any prior research to making this point..skill issue ig.
@@MythSamaelFFXIV ranged provide utiltiy (troubadour/tactician/shield samba, warden's paean, curing waltz, nature's hymn) and for dnc/brd they provide a large amount of support in dps via massive raid buff dmg overall, machinist suffers because theyre a greedy ranged which is usually pointless unless they do as much dmg as a melee / more dmg than brd/dnc provides in buffs, which i can agree that they should push mch to do more dmg.-- but they dont need to be as much dmg as melee. in endwalker, yea, i can see the melee / ranged dmg diff being rather pointless considering how large raid hitboxes were, but in dawntrail and pretty much every other expansion prior, this normally isn't the case, which is why there is also "ranged tax" its not just positionals that matter its the fact melee need to stay clung to the boss, and during a prog setting/before u optimise a fight, its not that easy to get 100% melee uptime, which is an advantage ranged have where they dont really get affected by this. but it's by SE's design that you usually see only 1 phys ranged, in the past it was mostly due to "ranged tax" but imo i think nowadays its because they try to push them into this "supportive dps" role more than just dps. if you want "prior research" would you like my years of raiding experience and in depth knowledge behind the games mechanisms, or should i just be like you and voice opinions as factual like thinking "ranged tax" is because of purely just positionals. again, if its not your thing dont play it, play the job you enjoy, and stop looking at fflogs dps like it defines your enjoyment of the game. but otherwise, skill issue for sure :)
Ill have you know as a reaper main i enjoying am perfectly fine with how its two positionals are in gibbet and gallows and in my opinion find it makes it more fun...however i am only a reaper main for a little over 3 weeks as viper was literally made for me
So its 5 things you hate about ff14?, None of these points are dawntrail specific unfortunately. Once combat is actually seen, and how damage is actually measured up in a live dawntrail combat scenario, then damage can be brought up, but at this state, I cant blame the new expansion for damage issues, since we have not seen damage put to the test.
I said at the begining of the video these are things dawntrail is launching without x also all of these are based on questions Yoshi p has been asked during the fan fests
Ok you disagree with everything…. Anything to add to the conversation? Why maybe? The only thing you missed from the typical lefty action here is calling a name. @@MythSamaelFFXIV probably, but the ff community will never agree 100% on positionals. It's just one of those topics 😂

Admitedly no information on wether all gearsets will be dyable or not BUT weve never recieved info like this prior to a drop and every expansion so far has had them so maybe i took a little liberty with that
But thanks for the compliment !
I'll use P10 as an example because you can't miss positionals on a wall boss:
As a Reaper - Gibbet and Gallows were 6.7% of my overall DPS each. If I were to have had the same DPS & same number of positionals on a normal boss and missed all of the positionals, my DPS for JUST THOSE SKILLS would be ~2% less. Which, over the course of a fight is actually not that bad, and why positionals do not matter, but are also nice to have in the game.
edit: and for informational purpose, the potency % increase for positional on both skills is 13% (460-520)
For informational purposes
Its 15 %.
Aeolian Edge
Base combo potency - 380
Positional bonus potency - 440
440-380= 60
380/100 = 3.8 =1%
60 / 3.8 = 15.7 = 15.7%
If you listened to the beginning of the video I said what Dawntrail is launching without not that they wouldn't show up at some point in the future
As a combat veteran myself, I appreciate the message and it means a lot to hear.
X appreciate it
Range tax exists because phys ranged is the only role in the game that doesn’t have a caviat attached to their damage.
There’s no point where it’s “hard enough” for ranged, because at that point it will be too hard for everyone else, and I don’t disagree itd be nice to see other team comps like double ranged, so why not have something like a “effective range” mechanic that determines the damage of your attacks based on how close or far you are, if drill does max dmg 40y out, you’re there and there’s an aoe on you, NOW you’re playing the same
Game as casters and melee.
Oh absolutely , I'm still astonished that a game so focused on cosmetics has this absolutely garbage system
@@MythSamaelFFXIV Looking forward to the second part! :D
I'm someone who disables speech bubbles in every game which has them. I still was surprised it wasn't even an option in this game, because I understand why others want them. It's a good option.
Exactly !
It’s not really a ranged tax, more of a support dps tax. Machinist and Black Mage deal fat damage but have little or no support utility, if you want Bard to deal more damage they would have to remove what makes it a Bard, same for Dancer.
The thing is it doesn't feel proportionate at all , if u look at the actual differences
I have nothing witty or relevant to say but comments make UA-cam smile on you
They really do and appreciate you thought about it and left engagement anyways x your awesome thank you !
If I had a dollar for everytime I queued a dungeon and forgot to equip my job crystal I could have a life supply of Fantasia for 5 people
Ooo that is a valid point
A small addition to the first one - this really only affects roleplayers, but it would be SO NICE to have a feature that showed when people are typing. In text roleplay it can be really hard to tell when someone is waiting for _you_ to say something, or if they're just at slow typer. Having a feature like that would help to avoid those awkward moments.
oo yeah thatd be awesome
Lalafell x rogeden, that is a scary combo, and yet I'm intrigued...
FOR THE LOVE THAT IS ALL THINGS HYDAELEN DO NOT GOOGLE THAT
@@MythSamaelFFXIV for all know I am the reason not *muwhahahaha!*

@HyouVizer lmao that is awesome and feels like a joke you'd see in ffxiv the lalafell seem cute and wholesome but 90% of the npcs are lewd and vulgar in some or another lol
Things I hate about Dawntrail:
1. Persisting 5 years of Shadowbringers' utterly godawful healer design for another 3.
That's it.
If I'm not mistaken, Stormblood was also spam 1 for DPS.
@@KevinHorrox Only for White Mage, but WHM also had Aero III and such to amuse you.
Comments are good for the UA-cam algorithm!
I really appreciate you ! Thank you x
what's the point of the range tax when enemies and bosses throw out huge AOEs that force them into the same distance as the melee players
your not wrong. FFXIV handles the disparity between the 2 in the worst way in terms of mmos
As a caster main...I agree wholeheartedly. Most of the bullshit mechanics are happening away from the bosses anyway and we are having to move around a lot.
tHANK YOU !
I understood it
I just have seen it handled better elsewhere and i prefer it honestly
"They already have 20 slots, if we give them 20 more they'll just want 40 more."
3.) ... wasn't more dye options a design goal for the game?
2.) Im meh on it. Im one of those gamers who has felt that the game has gotten a little easy... but I also play DRG where the positionals are nice but not important.
1.) The only range I playu is RDM. Sooooo no opinion.
Yup 2 dye channels but I was speaking more to the dungeons sets they keep releasing that can't be dyed
Possibly 😏 and yeah that's my big issue like.some.of it looks awesome but u can't match anything to it
Forget the range tax.
XD so this video was originally 10 things i hate about you and the rex tax is in fact mentioned in part 2 tommorow x
I’m not as strong as you think brother… thank you…
Hey your strong enough to admit that though and that makes u stronger then you think but your never truly alone so make sure you talk to someone x
I respect that XD
The glamor issue is a data problem. To put into perspective how bad the memory/data situation is, they had to move the Dwarve tribe quests from Kholusia to Lakeland because Kholusia didnt have enough memory to support it.
And youre asking them to have access to all of your glamor items. This is a longterm issue they have to address, and i believe they are looking how to implement it, hopefully they can.
Yeah i understand it was something like this but i dont believe my WoW comparison is misplaced. WOW also had this memory issue and still managed to do it .

I highly agree with removing positionals. Back then it was good and fun but now its dogshit with the complexity of mechs these days
Exactly and it just sucks that duo ranged comps just get spat on for no reason other then being ranged
Ninja for example the differance in potency of a rear / flank bonus and not is 15% were as the range nerf is a flat 10%
Ontop of this its created a situation where in a static double phys range is a nerf and I hate that something like that exists.
Tch... You thought people would like this video? Your confidence is almost endearing, shorty... Almost.

I get that
I'm not a combat vet but my dad is. So I'll say it again, if you ever feel like talking about it, I'll listen o/
Also, Lalafell hips can't like, they don't have hips to begin with.
Yeah middle east is this generations trauma, I did 2 operational tours in afghanistan. I cant stress enough to people about just asking or messaging people they havnt heard from. A random text showing care can really turn a bad day around on a pin head

ranged tax only exists because you can /move and shoot/ from up to like 30y away, while casters (who do as much dps as melee btw) have to cast, and melee have to be near the boss to hit.
in an optimal setting yes you have 100% uptime on everyone and it seems strange that p-ranged does less, but there are /reasons/ behind it.
also positionals arent hard and a lot of people enjoy them i think its just not your thing tbh, or skill issue ig.
Ill have you know as a reaper main i enjoying am perfectly fine with how its two positionals are in gibbet and gallows and in my opinion find it makes it more fun...however i am only a reaper main for a little over 3 weeks as viper was literally made for me
OOO good look with viper, My soul is ready for picto.
Yea I was always wondering why gibbet and gallows have positionals, but their unveiled versions don't.
