Your guess is true. If you wacth sub you might be notice his VA is Akio Otsuka. Otsuka was Black Jack's VA. and There is name BJ in japanese credit as Akio Otsuka acting.
Even without those fact, "Moguri no Isha" (unlicense doctor), astronomical fee and wearing all black are literally Black Jack.
Pluto is one of my favorites mangas of all time I could ask for a better adaptation it’s beyond perfect
as someone who watched this anime and was blown away and is about to start reading the manga, i'm so happy for og manga fans like you. adaptations of this caliber are SO rare! congrats!
