Holy cow where have you been all my golf life I’m three minutes 51 seconds into this video and I feel like you’ve taken 10 strokes off my game already new sub for sure thanks cheers
Talk about adding power & speed to your swing, this is a great concept .Tried it and the speed is incredible. And you can really go after the ball ! Thanks !
Absolutely bang on, the hardest part for us long time over the toppers is stopping the hands going out toward the ball first. The brain is convinced of this move and mine is hard to retrain, just ask my wife. Very good you just forgot to mention the brain issue only muscle memory change required. However , I will subscribe.
Cheers. When I try and move the lower body first (at speed) my strike suffers as my arms lag behind and I end up catching it with a wide open face and not out of the middle. There must be a technique to that!
Tim, try adding flexion to your left wrist (bow it) either during transition or during the downswing and hold it through impact. This will square up the club face without you having to flip your wrists at impact. With this bow, all you have to do is rotate through impact. Hope this makes sense.
I’d suggest you look at your spine angle on video at the moment of impact. I’d bet it’s pretty close to straight up and down or even tilted toward target. Get that spine tilted away from the target. For example, compare this video at 1:19.
Lead side extension is the second key to power as you say by straightening lead leg. This is true but this (lead side extension) will happen with right side bend and getting rear knee bent targetwards. I guess what I am saying you can look at getting the desired result by focusing on bending trail knee/leg targetwards and right side bend.. One leads to the other and vice versa.
I must say I'm happy to bump into this channel (especially with all existing out there) Very good ones these 2, would they apply to irons as well? (especially the 1st one?)
It's amazing how the pros look like they have two seperate bodies twisting in opposite directions...I'd love to know what muscles they feel working to achieve it...
I've been obsessed with watching Mo Norman videos lately. People make the game way too complicated. Too many things people think about. Swing the club like a pendulum.
Don't disagree with ur points, I can hit reasonable distance, my issue is with golf companies giving false expectations on their drivers, there is no magic extra 20 yards using the new technology, accuracy yes, but ur very right in ur comments about flexibility etc
I guess I'm not communicating my argument very well, I'm not arguing that newer equipment is not better than the old crap I played with in the 70s or 80s, yes I can still hit a 7 iron 160 yards like I did in 1978, 1988, etc etc, because of the new irons and technology, all I'm saying is if was 25 again now, with swing speed I had as a young man, same handicap as I am now which is a 5, I would no doubt get the most out of the MOI, instead of hitting 265 yd drive suite n 1987, I be launching probably 300 plus, my argument is without a certain clubhead speed, u will not reach the MOI for that extra 20 yards, yes agreed, driver I play has giving me more attainable distance at my age then if was 61, 40 yrs ago
Ur right, as I've gotten older for better turn I've pulled my right foot back for more closed stance, I don't have the width I used too but that's life, just insure short game is good
Speed is great, but if you have a glancing blow it doesn't translate to ball speed. My exact issue. I'm averaging 110mph clubhead speed but my ball speed is way under what it should be, barely over 150. Glancing blow, even though it's in the middle of the face.
Great video well done. What about for 9 iron/pw? Do you try and extend your left leg for those shots too? I really feel distance is stopping me becoming a scratch golfer. My buddy's all hit it 20/30 yards further than me. Luckily I have a tidy short game.
are your irons going high? it may be because of a wrist flip, causing them to not go anywhere, developed this issue and ost 20 yards, fixed it a year a few months ago and my gapping is even better than before- around 180 with a 7i with std loft
Hate to say it but we are obsessed with getting bombs out of our driver. It's the big fallacy of this game. I'd rather hit it 275 and straight. I've got clubs in my bag to get me to the green after that.
Doesn't matter if ur driver has alien technology unless u have a certain amount of speed in ur swing u ain't ever gonna get that magical extra 20 yards
I’m myself disabled with severe lack of range of motion in my lead side and trained myself to achieve it. Ive got many senior golfer students who have achieved this too. Everyone can train this, not all to tour player levels, but it can easily be done with correct practice without any pain or future pain.

Awesome to hear Paul!
Great instruction! You explain, demonstrated, and provided drills. Thanks.
I like these drills, will start practicing them today. Thanks for sharing. Cheers.
Awesome 🤙🏻
The other day I tried for the first time to extend hard enough to come off the ground slightly with the lead foot. What a difference!
Awesome

Driver practice drill. Like it , 2 good videos I got this morning . Thanks
Looked like the king with those moves
JChowGolf has left the building
Great concept
Range here I come
Ah hu

Most likely a different issue involved there
For us , it should be a smooth, flowing transition

What brand of golf net do you have there?

Club head speed is yardage, if u don't have all u can do is try to hit driver solid, and max u can get, no extra 20 yards folks
I'm 61, days of speed are over

Just happy I've maintained my handicap
Straight right leg on back swing, straight left on follow through
Learning to "step away from the hands" as they say in baseball was a big unlock for me.
Gotta check that out ! Is your golf swing like a baseball bat swing ?
@jmack619 no. But a good golf swing and a good baseball swing share many of the same movements and feelings.
Great drills

Bro let's get a course vlog!
Check my channel. Around 6 from last year 👍🏼
Great
👍👍👍
😁👍
Thanks bud!
Forget the driver work on the short game.

Pros head actually moves down and away from the ball, not diving forward. That's a death move for an amateur

If you are young, athletic and supple this may be for you. If not, step one is not going to do your joints any good. Just not a natural motion

Done by some pros not all!
