Just seen your other comment, but yeah I'll reply just in case any one else is reading this, yeah it's an odd one, but generally I prefer to top wrap all the strings on a Les Paul, BUT I found on this particular Les Paul (black custom) the thinner three strings would pop out of the saddles, mainly down to my aggressive playing style, so I put those back the other way and it was great. So I admit it's a bit of an eye saw, but for this particular Les Paul it just works, all the tailpieces are different thicknesses on my other Les Pauls, so yeah, I get asked this all the time, but hope that helps, hope you enjoyed the rest of the video too! 🎸🤘
That's a great spot, yes it is a Wine red studio, early 2000's I believe, however it's not my guitar, could have been an honourable mention tho, the studios from that era are highly collectable, thanks for watching, hope you enjoyed the Video! 😎🎸

I’m a bit late to this vid but what a great watch ! Ironically the knackered Tribute sounds the best to my ears but it’s prob what you’re playing and the signal chain you’re using (plus the playing of course). You’ve gotta get yourself a Custom Axcess though, honestly just sell a kidney and do it, there really is nothing like it

@@AndyDoveGuitar I have two custom Axcess Les Paul’s one with Floyd and one hard tail, I think the reason they feel so good is because in addition to the carved heel the body is also the same thickness as a studio (around 6mm thinner than a normal Standard) Your playing is not in need of a helping hand but why carry the bricks on your back when you can use a wheelbarrow! If I could have urged you to do one thing at the Gibson Garage it would have been to demo a Custom Axcess!!

whats the deal with the top wrap for the EAD and standard wrap for GBE? I understand top wrapping but I have never seen anyone do both? Why?
