    Hey Christian, first time watching your videos (my algorithm recommended it since I love Japan vlogs) and I notice you're just under 3k subs. First off, congrats on starting your channel! Secondly, you are a natural in from of the camera. Idk if you've presented before but I love your personality, you're very good at it. The edits and transitions in your video are so professional and creative. Keep up the great work and thanks for the tour. I don't see a lot of high end Japanese apartment tours on UA-cam, but I've always click on these videos when someone gives a tour of places in the price range or higher out of curiosity of what Japanese luxury living looks like. So thanks for finding this gem.

      Ahh mate, way to make my day with such comments!
      Thank you so much hey. Nothing makes me happier and want to continue making these videos then hearing things like this. Actually starting this way a bit of a 'face my fears' kind of thing. Never comfortable in front of the camera! But I've always like chasing things that make me feel uncomfortable, makes life a bit more exciting and fun.
      Where are you watching from if you don't mind me asking?
      Ps I'm glad you like the apartment tours as it's something I'm super interested in myself so I'm planning on doing more in the future and making it a regular thing if I can!
      Once again, always appreciate kind feedback and if you have any suggestions, always feel free to drop a line! 🙋🏽‍♂️🇯🇵

    Love the huge flat, although with the balcony, it's a shame they've positioned the generator right where you could stand to look out. They could've put that to the side.
    A massive Genkan is great. My front room has wooden floors, but after that, it's mostly carpet, so shoes off for everyone! 😁
    I do kinda wish the toilet, shower and sink were in the same room, AND had a big window to view the outside, although I see that a lot of houses are built close together, so they have frosted glass in many rooms. I know even the window is rare in a bathroom in most places, but I have that here, as I converted the back bedroom into the bathroom. That's one thing I'd miss if I moved out of this house 😁
    A big bath would be a must, too! Does look like there's a bit of damage on the outside decking area, unless it's just spillages that can be easily cleaned, but it'd be a shame if someone's broken part of it after all that money they spent.

    • @hangswithchristian
      @hangswithchristian  2 місяці тому +1

      Hey legend - appreciate you tuning back in and providing your thoughts!
      Yeah some things are just done differently here. For example, I personally love western bathrooms better with a big open room, walk in shower. At least, that what I had in Australia.
      But other than that, the price is actually very decent for what you get and particularly the location! 🙋🏽‍♂️🇯🇵

    • @DVDfeverGames

      @@hangswithchristian Hi, thanks for your reply, and there's definitely differences I'd need to get used to. Another would be having the washer/dryer next to the bathroom sink. I've only ever known them in the kitchen, and separate. 😁
      However, all the little differences are just minor things to get used to, and no major deal-breakers to worry about, wherever I'd be 😃

I have just long termed a studio apartment in Danang for the next year. Roomy, clean with kitchen for $400 a month. Two minutes walk to the beach. People are lovely and infrastructure is head and shoulders above say the Philippines. Good choice of food also. So, I think I've worked out that part, but during the rainy season I want to be elsewhere. I also want to get back to Australia and New Zealand for a month or two every year. Haha thanks legend!
      Actually, its actually not that its out of sync, it’s the noise cancelling on the mic battling to block out the background noise. You’ll notice it on anything outdoors because in summer here there are non stop Cicadas everywhere and they are sooo loud haha
      Make it incredibly difficult to film outside and I tried my best to block them out but the audio gets sacrificed a bit.
      I thought I would only have to battle the heat in summer filming!
      But I super appreciate you looking out and giving that feedback buddy, always love people helping out 🙋🏽‍♂️🇯🇵

      haha yeah mate, when I first found this out I was pretty shocked actually. But then once I saw they just plug into the ceiling I was like....hmm actually you could change any of these out without an electrician to dimmers or different styled ones pretty easy. Even a fan with a light if you want so I get that's an advantage of it!

      This is common in Japan. Not ALL lights, but the main ones for rooms yes.

      Oh wow, that sounds incredibly central and well priced!
      That’s sounds super similar to the apartment I picked up when I moved to Fukuoka. I swear prices here are so great if you come from overseas.
      How’s does this place stack up in comparison to price and size for places in Canada?

      Ps, just a heads up. The real estate company might not be the best place for apartment hunting on a student visa as normal contract periods here are generally 2 years for apartments which makes it tricky. But they are really kind so see what they say!
      Best of luck!

      @hangswithchristian  2 місяці тому

      Haha absolutely they did. I’m dead on 6FT, so these are so tall door frames actually, even for a modern build.
      Its a stretch but this area is popular for foreigners as mentioned in the video so could be a renovation catered towards that maybe??
      Either way, Im loving it! Haha

      Haha I KNOW - I found it very odd when I first found out but its so normal here that people here find it rare if an apartment came with them 💡
      Luckily, the light fixtures are actually amazing, plug and play really. So that’s actually a bit of a positive because you can change your lights yourself if you wanted fancy ones or remote control/colour temperature lights. Which most have here actually. I’ve come to like it haha
