Interesting to see something done with Bosconian. I played this one all the time in Namco Museum back on the PS1 and I always wondered why it got lost to time while others carried on. This and New! Rally-X are my favorites. I never thought this IP would see the light of day ever again; thanks for proving that someone else still cares.
This was my favorite arcade game growing up playing it on Namco Museum 50th Anniversary for GameCube, baffled me when I found out how unknown and forgotten about it is. Someone got threatened with a legal beatdown by Bandai Namco for making a playable version of the Gorillaz parody of Pacman seen in their Pacman music video, otherwise I would release this no problem
@@FlippinDollar I honestly feel like you could release this with no issue. With the Gorillaz X Pac-Man thing, Namco actually cared about Pac-Man. For Bosconian however, aside from re-releases, they don't really seem to truly care about the game as much as Pac-Man (which is their flagship).
I've been playing this game for a month or two and honestly This game is the true sequel Bosconian needed!! The official one, "Blast Off", was too uninspired imo, glad you made this
What a GLOW UP!!! Bosconian is one of my favorite arcade game. This one is so intense and the big boss is a great inclusion. I think the music from the SharpX68000 version of Bosconian could be used for this. Great Job!!! (Also, you used the Mario AllStars sound for the score, nice touch)
This is amazing. If I didn't have to go to work in a few minutes I would be diving headfirst into this. I have been playing the original since I first saw it in late 1981, and I always thought that the game had a little too much advantage over the player. This should have been subtitled, Revenge of Star Destroyer. I am going to play this when I get home tonight, and if its as good as I think it is, I'll give you a shoutout on my video gaming podcast, Confessions of an Arcade Addict.
That sounds like a good deal to me buddy, rest assured I'm a big fan of the original as well and knew something like this needed to exist. Let me know if you ever get it going I will absolutely tune in 👍
If theres going to be, the joystick for moving the cursor around needs to function like the c-stick on the newer Nintendo 3DS models. You'll want to dart the mouse around as fast as you need it to in whatever circumstance There's a Japanese comment on here that i replied to explaining my thoughts on it a little more
I'll tell you one thing, I tried to set up a control scheme for playing this on Steam Deck, using a regular analogue stick for mouse controls in the same fashion as moving the crosshair around in Sega's SDI is a pain to figure out, the game becomes a chore to play. If you ask me, something similar to the C Stick on the newer Nintendo 3DS would work really good with just dictating which angle to point the player in, sometimes you need to dart the mouse around really fast and a joystick like that would emulate it really well.
Later levels get pretty difficult because the player speeds up as well as enemies, Condition Red happens automatically after a certain point as well but only on certain levels with fewer enemy bases after level 10. I didn't want the game to get too hard too quickly so that I could preserve it being just a game you can turn on to chill out and play Thank you for playing Im noticing a lot more folks are looking at this in Japan even though I'm from the states
Oh man, it's trippy hearing not just Namco sounds, but also Mario All Stars sounds. This is awesome

For a moment, I thought this was a new Super Nintendo game. Still, great job!

wouldn't i have every incentive to lie if it was?? 🤔
@@FlippinDollar yes!

It keeps you- I say it keeps you on your TOES.

It takes the fun out of the game. The original is better.
