What if the infection is in the brain? Will diet help or are drugs required?

I would ask a doctor. You can't trust the comment section.
There's a good chance you'd need an antifungal but it's case by case and you want to be sure you get qualified advice.

@@dimtodim beer gives me straight panic attacks now. So i would avoid beer like the plaque. High sugar, wheat gluten and alcohol content, all which candida loves.
Bad idea. U need to stay strict to fight this thing unfortinately. Trust me. Ive been battling for 3 yrs

Actually it's true for people with people with a compromised immune system, I have candida so I followed the instructions for candida diet which is follow a paleo diet,I was so depleted of energy I couldn't even do day to things and also had worse brain fog,I also suffered from bad constipation even though I was consuming five to seven portions of veg a day,I had to leave it but ate only healthy carbon like brown rice, quinoa, popcorn, millet and amaranth, I needed some carbs for both lunch and dinner to sort out my symptoms.

What studies show that humans can survive on zero sugar and zero carbohydrates? I'd love to see them

Correct. BUT- you do need fiber. Fiber is found in carbohydrates sources.

fiber is not actually needed either, its a myth, everything said about nutrition in the mainstream sphere is based on what the industries are trying to sell@@kristiiiiiiiii
