Seborrheic Dermatitis is an embarrassing, frustrating, persistent skin condition. My guest today is here to shed some light on seborrhea and how yeast plays a large role in the condition.
My guest today is actually a returning guest, Dr. Alan Dattner. He is a board-certified dermatologist practicing holistic and integrative dermatology for nearly 40 years, helping patients who have failed conventional care.
He uses nutrition, herbal medicine, supplements, functional medicine, applied kinesiology, psychosomatics and more to heal the underlying causes of skin disorders.
Dr. Dattner has a background in immunology, having worked in six different immunology laboratories with renowned scientists, culminating in studies of cross-reactive immune recognition as a visiting scientist at the National Institutes of Health, and that is pretty cool. The research led him to understand the scientific validity of digestive issues as a cause of inflammation in the skin.
Join us as we talk about the relationship between seborrheic dermatitis and candida.
    SHOW NOTES:
    • What is seborrheic dermatitis?
    • Why aren't current treatments helping people see massive improvement?
    • How is yeast involved in seborrheic dermatitis?
    • How to control seborrheic dermatitis
    • Can addressing yeast help with seborrheic dermatitis?

Finally somebody talks about it! Thank you so much! I also came to the conclusion after self healing all my skin problems, seborrheic dermatitis, dandruff, psoriasis, and nail psoriasis when healing my gut. I did it through starving the yeast by eliminating all carbs. Became carnivore, after two almost three months all my problems have gone away or decreased a 90% and going away more every day. It's a very slow process though. Patience.
All doctors just said I had to deal with my bad skin, and diet couldnt do anything. Thank you for bringing light to the world!!

I'm happy to hear that you're doing better now! Have you been able to start reintroducing foods? Or are you planning on sticking with carnivore?

Are you cured of seborrheic dermatitis - what have you been eating to eliminate the yeast?

@@bilimlrr7764 The redish pink spot with scales that I had on my corner of the mouth left in the first week I changed my diet... My nails are growing healthier, and my dandruff its better, a lot better, I also stopped washing with anti dandruff shampoo, to actually get my scalp to the natural levels of oils.. and see if that plus the diet improves the hole thing. It is working so far.
      - I went carnivore, so that means, no carbs, so no sugar = no pasta, no rice, no bread, no fruits, no chocolate, no milk, no nothing, just meat and eggs. Also sometimes some cheese here and there, but now i will cut that too and also will stop eggs and see how it gets in a month.
Mind you that people suggest at least THREE months to see results on candida. so being carnivore is like an even harder diet. but be patient.

@@maximus2275 I'm going to do an Elemental diet for 3 weeks, people have excellent results. I would rather do that then try to figure what to eat and am not hungry anyways. It will give my digestion a huge break and hopefully heal in this time frame and then slowly add foods back in.

It could even just be malassezia in the digestive tract.

So essentially fix the gut and candida imbalance and heal your Seb Derm?

God Bless you Jennifer Fugo. Inside and out. I'm so honoured to have had the chance to listen to this.
I was FED UP of using "anti-dandruff" shampoos and want to get to the CORE of this issue.
My dissatisfaction with 99% of videos covering this topic led me to you and this amazing interview you did.
It clicked in my head very recently that my decade long battle with dandruff was down to a type of fungus. I searched and searched but didn't get a "multi dimensional" understanding of how to tackle this issue once and for all.
I then typed "Candida Dandruff" in the search bar and you were the first video and boy am I glad I watched it.
I have learnt so many things that I'll be implementing into my battle with dandruff mainly in my scalp, but now my eyebrows and beard.
    I have started to-:
*Cut out carbs and sugar as much as possible
*increase meat, steamed cruciferous veg and healthy fats
*Take a high quality Wild Fish Omega 3 supplement.
    *Ashwagandha to balance my hormones
*Black seed oil to boost the anti fungal effects internally
And some other things, I'm still early in my journey.
My problem is that I have a love of sugar, but I eat well.
I'm 6 foot 4 inches and weigh about 73kgs (it's quite low as I usually weigh around 80kgs) so I'm also worried my keto-ish diet will make me lose weight so I need to make sure I increase my portion sizes.
