Sorry for the 6 month delay, there will be 10+ videos released this summer and I thought delaying this video so that everything comes out together would make more sense. Be on the look out for future releases!
New follower here, I basically binged through all your romhack + homebrew videos in one day, haha. How the heck do you only have 3k subs is odd to me since I really found your content very professional and your apparent enthusiasm towards classic video gaming shows super well. I found so many interesting looking games and hacks I've never heard of before, which makes your videos so much more of a pleasure to watch compared to other similar creators on UA-cam who don't dig that deep for their recommendations :) All the best for you and your channel from snowy Finland, you gained a new subscriber today!
Thanks for the kind words. The channel will definitely grow if I stick to it, it's only been about 6 months! Finland huh? I can definitely emphasize with the weather there as I live at a very similar latitude.
14:06 Quadrun was the first game to have digitized speech on an Atari 2600 (no special chip required). And in 2002 there was a Berzerk hack, which brought digitized lines to the game.
the 11:50 fighting game should use 4 players with 4 paddles: one player moves and use the button to block and the other player turn right to punch high, turn left to punch low, and button to kick. So 2 players needed to control one guy. That would be an insane fun and chaotic 4 player game!! like if you want the dev to see or share with them :D
1:16 I would love to buy Tower Of Rubble, but since it's physical distribution only, importing it AND buying an actual console would cost a kidney. The demo is amazing though.
This seems to be the only footage of Zevious on all of UA-cam. Surprising. If you try looking for other clips, you'll find a few of the Xevious prototype from 1983, which is pretty remarkable in its own right. Edit: Yeah, your footage is *the only footage on UA-cam* of the homebrew Zevious. Quite bizarre. Maybe you could put up some non-narrated footage for posterity. It's kind of hard to tell, but it sounds like Zevious's music restarts itself every time any sound effect interrupts it.
As someone who's wanting to make a game on this system. What software would you recommend I. A assembler or Batari, as both have their pro's and con's. And I do understand the limitations of the system, I just simply need to know which software would be the best.
@@bredenis5 I have not just yet. Still working on my gameboy project as its a massive undertaking. Otherwise I'm glad you're interested in this future project of mine.

Pitkat is a port of Catrap for the Gameboy, as it has the same characters, gameplay, and the rewind feature.
“Would you believe me if I said this game was only 8k?” That is genuinely so cool to me.

THE BIG COMEBACK, HE RETURNED.
There's a good few of them on the Atari Flashbacks as well which are pretty solid.

Pitkat is basically a demake of Catrap for the Gameboy.
Now we're talking, some more homebrew for the collection! 😁👍
2:28 It looks like Pitkat is a demake of a Game Boy game called "Catrap"

Great video! Happy to see you back!
Great video. Thanks for making the Part 2.

Really? I might upload some footage then.
Great video! Thanks for putting this together.
Hell yeah finally part 2
Cool video!

VERTICAL SCROLLING IS EASY. EVEN I CAN PROGRAM IT (Although I am an atari programmer lol)

@@Sinistar1983 did you ever get around to starting your game? If so, how’s it going?

@@Sinistar1983 very cool that you’re working on a game boy project! Best of luck to you.
Ha! Jokes on you, I watched this part first!
Be mad!
