In today's video I've brought one of my golf mates for a Master Club Fitting with Sam Smith at Golf Repairs 4 U.
Dan doesn't like or carry any fairway woods or hybrids, and now he's struggling to hit his driving iron! Can master fitter Sam find a solution to fill the gap between Dans Driver and 4 iron?

Love watching people getting fitted for new clubs and it was great watching Dan getting fitted, Sam is outstanding 👏👏
You’re already converted to seeing the benefits off a good fit, but it’s incredible how much better it makes you feel, knowing that the clubs not to blame.

You are spot on what you have said in a previous video Gary. It doesn’t matter what brand but who fits you. I have gone total PXG with Sam and have seen massive improvements
I’m guna be totally honest, before meeting Sam, Pxg was never a club on my radar, but now having been fitted, I’ve got a set of woods and irons I’ll not be looking to change.

I hope to see you out on the course now the weather is better. I like fitting videos but would save those for winter episodes or wet week content.
I know, I know, I honestly have said this to the boys, we need to focus out doors. It was an old one we recorded and they wanted to get it out before Dan played in the vlogs with his hybrid (today).

Dan: Like my driver if I'm honest...
Me: I wish MY driver went that far 😂😂😂
Good fit by Sam again, he listened to Dan's feelings and feedback then worked with that, rather than pushing Dan to something that he didn't like the look or feel of.

Gaz, the full length fitting videos are what I personally prefer. They show what Sam does, his processes, his options that he offers and doesn't mind over running to make sure he gets it right 👍
Haha, I’m glad you enjoyed it 😃 We’re going to try to get outside more this summer to play and then focus more on club comparisons and fittings in the winter if we can’t get out.
I’ve learnt so much off sam though, and I think most people interested in golf fitting will also learn a lot so that they can understand the process better.
One thing I really hope from all this, is people value a real fit, and they invest into the fit, as there’s a big difference between a custom fit at one place and a custom fit at another 😀
@@garymartingolf Agreed! Just compare one of Sam's, Tour X, Tour Truck, Elite Performance or Precision Golfs fittings with AMD et al's 'Custom Fit'...there really is no comparison at all.

Thanks, it's much more neutral at the moment, had a lesson Friday and I'm at about 0-2 degrees -

i understand the need to hit a bunch of other combinations to rule them out and solidify your final decision but hitting so many shots kills your energy. his first attempt with the black ops and VA - those numbers were going to be hard to beat
Very very good point. I guess an experienced fitter can know the best profile of shaft after seeing the initials numbers, but the customer does need to feel they have exhausted all options before being able to justify their purchase. I think Sam was wanting to be assured he couldn’t do better.
@@garymartingolf absolutely, you want to know you are absolutely spot on since great gear isn’t cheap. but the fatigue kicks in for everyone. even the fitter said so. i think that guy made a good decision in the end though and should feel good about getting the best out of his options
