I hope that one day that all puppy mills across America will shut down. It is so stressful for dogs just to breed puppies. And most of all what happens to their puppies.
It's the modern slavary. The only difference at this time, are dogs or who knows what else.....
I know people love purebred dogs but they really need to make sure they are reputable and the greatest dogs come from the pound and the shelters!🥰

Poor Lucy, probably the first time someone has said good girl to her.
The really sad reality is that dogs like Lucy are often raised in that environment and don’t know any better. So unless the mill workers are physically doing something that would lead her to dislike them like striking her, she probably actually really liked them despite how much they used and abused her 😭

@@lezandstuffLol Happens to humans as well. The difference is dogs and animals get more sympathy and empathy but don’t have to grow up and adult. They don’t have to care for their own babies, they’re not judged, the don’t have to work jobs to support themselves despite the constant trauma and tragedies. There are a PLETHORA of little boys and girls that are abused, molested, raped, and so much more, every day. SMH I LOVE animals and watch animal videos EVERY SINGLE DAY. But GOD, the CREATOR of all Made humans to oversee animals. Anyone who loves and empathy sizes with animals more than humans aren’t as great a people as they think. SMH Oh and human chosen don’t have teeth or claws or fur like dogs to protect themselves from danger or harsh environments. SMH

It's amazing how other dogs greeted Lucy as if they were genuinely happy she finally joined them

My sister adopted a puppy mill dog. It took almost a year before the dog realized it was her forever home. Once she realized she could be herself, she was the most hyper and loving dog ever. She passed away a few years ago but she was the best dog!
Please say thank you to your sister for her patience and love for a dog who deserved it.

That first moment when you see your abused rescue dog relax and act like a normal, happy dog for the first time... There is really nothing else like it. I can remember that moment for every dog I've rescued. It always brings me to tears.
Amazing work buddy rescuing animals
Our 7 year old rescue dog was so shut down. Constant barking and bright lights. She would not make eye con. One later after calm, quiet home and a daily walk. Able to run and smell everywhere, she emerged as a confident girl, able to meet and greet other dogs and humans.❤

I agree, My Lucy died in2018.she became ill. I would have done anything to have her get well. They told me I could never afford what she would need. It was the saddest thing ever to experience 🥲😥😓😭😭. The said she was in pain and putting her down was the kindest thing I could do for her. I never knew how much I would cry after that!. So hearing this story cheered me up a little. Lucy being free, and being loved. The most important thing I could have asked for for my Lucy. I wanted to find a rescue, my kids said I’m too weak and old for a dog now. I just turned 72. Sounds younger than I feel it is. I wish I was stringer. But watching the Videos are the only thing that cheer me up these days!!😀😀😊😭😓

I’ve use this as a teaching tool. I love this clip. I identify with Lucy as I am a recovering heroin addict. Now living in recovery for years, when most had given up on me, I had many loving “dogs” surround me and include me in their pack of compassion and solidarity. I’m so grateful and I love Lucy dearly. Indeed she is perfect!!

I had a puppy mill dog who wouldn't bark. We found out the man would beat him if he woofed. We finally got him to woof one day and he turned his head away because he thought he was going to be hit. He was our first dog. He was perfect too.

@@tiffywald6942 True. I should have said "most" people. I am suffering myself. I was in a car wreck a year ago that nearly killed me. My sister is the only person to step up and help. I had to surrender my dogs because I couldn't walk for three months, and nobody would help me in the meantime. And it hurts because I had spent my entire life up to that point helping others in need. So, yeah, I would rather be with animals because they will be there for you no matter what.
You are right, humans nowadays are governed by evil forces, greed, poverty, wars, famines... Satan is winning, sadly 😭

This is a beautiful thing to see, our daughter went a few states away to rescue a mill boxer who never touched grass or could walk past a 6 buy 6 space and her teeth were gone until my daughter, who is a groomer worked with her and found teeth under her gums, it took a few days and has a beautiful name of Becky, has so much love for my daughter and loves her, Lucy reminds me of our daughter's sweetheart and her other babies thank you for sharing your love, dogs know how to love, and we have to love them back. One rescue at a time, with people like you we can do it. Thank you Lee and your Home of love.

One of my dogs was hit and drag by a speeding car while we were out walking. When my other 2 dogs realised she was hurt, they stood either side of her protecting her. It was touch and go for the first 24 hours. She survived and my 3 dogs have never been so close 😊 xx

My pup was a livestock guard on a donkey farm. He was afraid of them, so the owners gave him up to be put down. Got him when he was right around 1. And he is easily the nicest, sweetest dog I've ever met. Almost every week i meet new people in my neighborhood bc they know my dog from someone else walking him. It's surreal to walk by someone that my dog is friends with that I've never seen before in my life. Literally, everyone knows my dog. Collie/Golden mix. His name is Silas, and he loves you.
