The ping flat setting is a game changer for people who hook the ball helps out a lot.
Absolutely correct Julian, especially as Pings default is slightly more upright to opt then for flat....... and some fitters / coaches still say that Lie angle on Drivers doesn't do anything due to having the least loft 😀👍
Ive thought for a while that the fact you need to in effect ‘hover’ the club and square the face with your grip in order for loft changes to actually take effect is a bit of a con. Although sort of works if you for instance want to reduce loft on a fairway wood and have it sitting more open.
In general, is setup more easily repeatable if loft is left at standard setting? I have Mizuno STG 9.5 loft. Thanks for informative presentation.
Do the dual cog systems adjust the loft without affecting the lie?
It certainly can be difficult to understand the smaller nuances of how lie will affect shots. I'm just thinking, that the three cog system should be a mandated standard like USB-C.
How about a universal loft sleeve adapter? Then you could just buy the heads if you have shafts you like? It’s an obvious opportunity for players but it won’t happen because the big brands would lose revenue.

On the mizuno if your turn the loft down/open the face when you sole the club the loft will still be the original loft just opened angle correct? Then if you return the club to square you have now delofted the club. Am I understanding this correctly?
Effectively yes and that's the same with all, that's why is so important to remember to always align your club face to your usual intended aim point rather than gripping the club when the clubs orientation may well have been disrupted by it resting on the ground. Hover it above the ground and aim club face straight and grip 👍
