This is great advice, I am a senior golfer and my latest set has 5 iron as the lowest iron and now carry 2 different lofted hybrids that fly much higher than any 3 or 4 iron for sure!
Another great video Jay and as a slow swinger 74 mph average. I tried Wilson Dynapwr forged and got spin of 6600 descent 44 degrees and launch of 24 degrees. Indoors I hit 124 yards normally in all my testing I get 135/140 yards. Any comments as I decide on my new irons. I’m normally recommended game improvement irons with the manufacturer fittings because they want to give me distance. My handicap varies betweenn15-18. Would love to hear your comments and advice, thanks again Jay.
I guess I should of mentioned in the video as well is just cause the driver has an adjustable hozel, it doesn't mean every golfer should get the tool and adjust it 50 times a year and then forget where the original fitting setting was 😊 I've seen that plenty of times 👍🏻
Due to this very thing, I've decided to do multiple swing speed data in all my reviews going forward. My normal speed and also slower speed as well to capture as many golfers as possible 👍🏻👍🏻

I am 37 and is not imposible but difficult and expensive lol. Golf is an endless wonder of beatings and delight all in the same day 😊 really glad you are looking to factual data go help you though the trails of getting better. It will if used correctly allow you to skip through most of the discovery process that a lot of amateurs have to go through. 👍🏻👍🏻
Hi Jay, you are such an educator and have had a positive impact on my golf game. This year I've ditched my old irons, got custom fit up to 6 iron (Srixon zx5 mk II), then i have the st230z hybrids ( i bought 2, 3 and 4 but i don't think i needed the 3). The Mizuno driver has been great (again based on your review). I've bought a divot board (Mark's review) to work on strike/low point and i love it, this is one of my focus's for next year. I am a stats guy, use a Shot Scope watch and have a Garmin for unfamiliar courses. The progress is encouraging, for the first time since 2019, i played to a level i was happy with, but i was still unhappy (I'll save the why for the livestream). Thank you and Merry Christmas. Do Mizuno do Santa hats, if so you should be wearing one!🧑🎄
I would love to see someone do a decade like breakdown on the best way for someone to break 90 and 100 relative to the average speeds and skills of those type of golfer. The best ive seen are will robbins and golf sidekick but i think both of their approaches have flaws in them.
Great advice for us slow swingers (7 iron about 60 mph), also bought a 7 wood this week to help with descent angle and distance (it was birthday this week). Keep the good advice coming as I really enjoy your analysis.

I got fitted for a driver , pro said it’s set at 12degs and Don’t mess with it !
He was right , improved my driving no end .

Good info - too many YT creators forget the mid to high handicapper or new golfer.
