Thanks for the update, Dr. Cliff. If Phonak does read this, let me remind them of their first responsibility: provide quality hearing products. That includes the app. When they reduce the screen area dedicated to controlling the hearing aids so that they can be a Fitbit, they are going in the wrong direction. We already have the toys to do that. My Samsung Galaxy Smartwatch can track all of this, plus take an EKG and send it to my doctor. Phonak, stick to quality hearing care.
Hear Hear! (haha) Them wanting to get into the health data arena is a huge mistake. I don't want that from my hearing aids and have zero confidence the data will be accurate and useful when I already get it from my Fitbit.
Totally agree. When I heard a new version of the app was coming out I was delighted as they could fix the problems with the old one. Instead they added health data mining. I have a fitness tracker for that. I just want an app which allows adjustment for my hearing aids and doesn't have to reconnect every time I go away from the app. And now, when trying to adjust the volume it just goes down to rubbish at the bottom of the screen. Big fail Phonak.
@@leesweet9 AGREE. They can't do an app well for hearing aids. why create one for health which has Nothing to do with your hearing aid. The connectivity between hearing aids and app do Not perform consistently well, or even good.
Why does the app have to reconnect every time I go back into the app? Sometimes it takes a while to connect and sometimes, like right now, it doesn't want to connect at all. I have the L90R, just a couple weeks old.
Hi Dr. Cliff. This was great and I 100% agree with your likes and dislikes. Not long ago on another video you asked everyone what topics they would like to see in future videos. I would love for you to go through the various settings and customizations found in the My Phonak app and not only explain what they do, but also give some tips on the best way to use them to improve hearing in various situations. I love having access to as much personal customization as possible, but also want to be sure I'm using the features correctly and in the most beneficial way possible. Thanks for all you do!
Dr. Cliff, do you have any info on why Phonak won’t support the Audeo B-R and CROS? They had an app when I purchased about 3 years ago, but discontinued about 6 months after my purchase.
Thank you for your review! I agree with your assessment of the app. I especially dislike the smaller size of the volume controller for the reasons you state. I also dislike the large Health and Remote Support features which clutters the main remote control screen of the app. I hope Phonak is listening and will make changes to eliminate these issues.
I saw no mention in this video regarding the update to allow using these controls on the Phonak Paradise Bicros. I am assuming that means this new app does not give you the ability to do so yet. Without this feature, it makes these top of the line aids basically useless for anyone with fluctuating hearing loss, such as myself.
Why does the speaker icon in the lower left section of the volume adjust page default to mute? Is mute the correct setting or should the speaker icon mute to switched to on and why please?!
I like the faster connection times. The new app front page is too cluttered. It's feels like click bait advertisements or spam. If I want health tracking put it on another tab, not the majority of the front .
Too much clutter. I wish Phonak had made it optional to view the fitness and other stuff they added to the Home screen. Gonna take a while to judge all the other visual changes. I think Cliff said that programs can now be Updated instead of having to be Saved separately, haven't tried that yet but if so it will be a major plus of this version. Simplicity, Phonak, simplicity!
Another great video. This morning I was viewing the new app and decided to go from auto to comfort in noise so I touched the comfort in noise tab and it froze. I could not get the app to go back to auto. I finally gave up and deleted the app and reinstalled it. Now it is working ok. Not sure why it froze earlier. I will continue to work the app to get used to it.
I am cofused with the customization of App. I am having difficulies to customise the app for better hearing. Please advise if i have to customise my hearing using app do i have to choose each one and then fix the status of each. Example chsoosing from Default, Custom, clarity, Speech,Surround. Do I have to choose each at a time for setting from the list>? Volume, Noise reduction, speech focus, Dynamic. Please suggest.
Very frustrating... there are times I might want to just make a temporary change while using a preprogramed app and not create a new app, but after making adjustments when I close my phone the app reverts back to the original settings unless I save them in a new app. Also it drives me nuts that I can't make equalizer changes when streaming an app... again on a temp basis. If I want a permanent change I will have my audiologist make those changes but there are a lot of times and situations when I just want or need a temporary change to fit the particular situation at hand.
I also would like to know when I will be able to use the app with my Paradise CROS which I've had for 10 months now. I refuse to use the app at all until is supports both of my devices.
The app has improved a lot since the first version I had in 2019 with my Marvel P90s. I changed to Paradise P90s in December 2021 and reboot was all that was necessary to hook up with the app. The move to the new app design with the inclusion of 'Health' in mid 2022 was a disaster but this has now been resolved. HOWEVER, there is still no way to alter the frequency settings via an equalizer when listening to TV through the TV connector, a computer via Bluetooth, or when using the Roger ON microphone. Such a feature would be SO useful, Phonak!
Does the Remote Support work in a way that just by pressing a button in the app you get a connection to your Hearing Care Professional without any earlier scheduling with her or him?
Hi I liked your review so much of the Audeo Belong B90T 312 that I bought one privately. Do you know if it can be controlled by the Phonak App and if flight mode can be selected via the App?
How to determine whether current hearing aid is compatible with Health App. I am getting nothing with my Phonak Audéo P50-RT. Do I need to update something?
I have a pair of the Phonak Audeo P70-R version. Before this last update, I had multiple copies of the fitted programs (example: Phone, streaming) that I could not adjust in the app. After the software update; all the fitted programs have vanished.
I agree with you Dr. Cliff. The app was changed without warning or choice. One concern I still have with Phonak and the app is the inability to use the equalizer for any adjustment (other than volume) while streaming a phone call on my iPhone. I could with my ReSound aids and their app and I loved that feature. Phonak should incorporate that. The only reason I changed to these aids was the feature of waterproofing. I have the Audeo rechargeable P-90's and generally like them but my old ReSounds are close by in the event of a lengthy phone call, not kidding.
Thank you for the review. I agree with virtually all of the comments and suggestions you have offered. Decreasing volume control and equalizer functions and clutter screen are most annoying. Keep up the good work. Thank you
Why isn't the a "set" tab for Bluetooth streaming? When I put them in, in the morning, i have to go to a streaming program like Pandora to bring it up on the screen to adjust, every morning.
Hello, I am just starting to use my P70 Audeo aids, my problem is that when I turn on the right ear aide, it does not give me sound at all. These are brand new. Not sure what to do. I do have a Phone acct.
I'm still in my trail period for the new Lumity Product. I'm also a pretty techie type so the App doesn't frighten me. However I find the Bluetooth connectivity an issue. I have a new iPhone 13 and updated MyPhonak app. Connectivity to the iPhone is up and down throughout the day. But the biggest problem (right now, anyway) is when I change the Slider on the Tap Control feature and the slider on the Auto On feature it DOES NOT save that selection. It keeps changing those selections to DISABLE. Those two features are important to me and they do not work! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr 😞
Hi Dr Cliff, I cannot get the app to work with my paradise cross hearing aids, have phonak neglected the cross system again, thanks for another great video
You will have to uninstall the app and completely unpair the hearing aids then reinstall the app and repair the hearing aids. You have to turn on "My Locations" on your phone to get the app to find your hearing aids seperately (This IS NOT the same as your STREAMING setting). Unfortunately, all of your custom settings are gone. I only know how to do this because Phonak informed me AFTER I gave them a scathing review on the app store.
@@nikkirix4659 Yes it works. Uninstall the app, unpair and "forget" hearing aids on device, then start all over. Turn on My Location on phone. Would be nice if Phonak gives us the heads up on what to do.
Question - I just got the Marvel aids & downloaded the app. When I go into the Health section it doesn’t let me tap into the Wearing Time & there isn’t any step count. Do I have to access that somewhere or is it not compatible with my model?
Thanks for the information. Unfortunately no matter what I do,my hearing aids will not connect to the app even if my phone and aids are fully charged. I have see my health care professional recently and they were also unable to connect my aids to the app. Any further help would be appreciated. Just to say the old app worked perfectly for me the trouble started after the update
Hi! I am from Costa Rica and a friend of friend from the USA donated to me two Phonak hearing aids behind the ear, and it fits to my hearing loss level, not sure if the model links to the app.
Don’t like the Home Screen when trying to adjust the sound of my hearing aids. It’s too small now and sometimes can scroll the whole screen when all you want to do is turn up the sound of your hearing aids !!!
Hi, I just got my first Phonak Paradise. It is my first time using an app. I really like the music and phone ringing through my hearing aids. I really have hard time listening on the phone. These hearing aids and app will help me. I have a question about this app. Will they make an app to go through my watch? It would be nice to have an app on my watch. I can see what going on with my hearing aids if I cant use my phone.
Hate the big blue box at the bottom. I have the Paradise model. The step tracker is way off when compared to my watch+phone step tracking. Furthermore, if you charge your ads anytime during the day it restarts the step counter and wearing time counter which seems to nullify results. I, for one, have my aids connected to my phone all day and stream audio books and such so my charge will not make it through the day without a boost during the day which resets everything. I do use the app for program selection and battery check throughout the day.
New to the hearing aid world and getting my L90-R soon. I'm happy I found your channel with all this info. Just downloaded the app, and it's showing 4.4 stars on the store. So, it looks like the updates really improved the quality.
I have moderate cookie bite I can't seem to find any programs that help with speech and background noise. Everything is just loud. The settings don't stay after I set them. I'm constantly reprogramming them. The bluetooth is a hit and miss. I select speech and it reverts back to bluetooth.
Dr. C, in the video you mention Bluetooth LE, is that feature going to work with my ITE 2020 Virto M Black Bluetooth enabled model? Or will it require a specific new model of HA to be able to use Bluetooth LE?
Looking at a new android phone , but a hear a lot about Notifications on the phone reverting the app to autosense , hence disabling my custom programme if active . Any news in this issue
What I have the most trouble is the app disconnects and you have to wait for it to reconnect to adjust your settings. Its inconvenient during conversations at restaurants and other events where sound level changes. Your companions have to hold there conversations while you adjust. Phonak says that this is a battery saving effort, but phone calls are available instantaneously
Have had my Phonak Audeo L70-R for about a week now. The hearing aids connected to the myPhonak app without a problem at first. Now they won't connect to the myPhonak app, but they connect to Bluetooth. I've rebooted my iPhone a couple of times, turned the hearings aid off/on, disconnected then connected them to Bluetooth, still won't connect to the app.
Just checked my phone and sure enough the app was updated. Overall I like the app but I miss not having the larger screen view. I'm just happy that they are still making the effort to continue updating the app! Can not tell you how many apps that I have with no updates for years that clearly need to be updated. Thanks for your effort to posting this channel, it really helped me alot in adjusting my hearing aids and learning more about hearing technology in general.
Hi Dr Cliff; I am noticing that the app is going off all the time. When starting the app, the screen volume control starts off being a grey colour, then turns to green. After about 10 minutes, I go back into the app and the volume bar has gone back to a grey colour. Does this mean the app is still working or has it crashed/turned off? Thank you for all your helpful videos.
I agree that volume controls need improving. Some of the things on the home screen need to be on a link at the bottom, but then maybe that would make the icons too small for some to see. However, Support seems to be on the home screen and at the bottom. Removing it from the home screen would be a no-brainer decision. Help could go with Support. That would free up space for Health. Switching programs (automatically back and forth) is another issue that I'm having, but I'm not sure how much is related to the app. I do notice that I disconnect from the new version of the app quite a bit more after the update. I'm still learning (software/app and the aids themselves) after being hearing impaired for so long. I am tech savvy, so it's not difficult. It just seems that it isn't well thought out - the app anyway. Just my thoughts. Thanks, Dr. Cliff, for another GREAT video explaining things to us.
Doctor Cliff, can you tell me which hearing aid has the strongest speaker wire connections. My dad has shakey hands and his ear mold keeps getting twisted around to the point of breaking connection. Very frustrating.
Tomorrow, I will be getting Phonak Paradise P90 hearing aids. These will be my first hearing aids and I am completely clueless about how to use them. (phone, TV, headsets, conversations etc) Is there a comprehensive video tutorial somewhere that would walk my through each step on using my hearing aids in all situations? Secondly, is there another video tutorial that provides me detail step by steps on how to use the android app? I am sure that the audiologist will show me core stuff, but it would be great to have a video tutorial available to help me figure these things out. I thank you for your help.
Can the app be used to create custom settings for the Activent receiver? For example, can one create a custom program in which the vent is open for everything, except when it is engaged by the user through the app or tapping the HA?
Was surprised when this automatic update appeared on my phone. Had got used to the previous version which worked well for me & Audéo P-70R Don't like the new style home page with the large 'advert' for health features which for me duplicate settings on other apps I use. I have promised Phonak I will give it a fair trial, but so far still prefer the previous version. I am in UK. Has this update been rolled out globally?
You either have your phone set to automatically update apps or not. I have mine set to not so I know what is being updated and can read the notes and maybe skip any I don’t want.
Thanks for the great videos! Being new to needing HAs I feel overwhelmed with the amount of information. I wonder if you could create a playlist that focuses on the new person , first time hearing aid decider? This would be very helpful. Denis
Wow, I'm waiting for my first ever hearing aids and reading these negative reviews is upsetting. While I haven't started using the app yet, I can say I have no need for the clutter of more Health crap. My Iphone does that. My Iwatch does that and my new scale even does that. I'm hoping just to be able to hear! Lets get with it Phonak!
I love the find hearing aids function on the Oticon app. Where you can see the last point a hearing aid was connected to your phone. I am switching to phonak hearing aids this week and really hope that it is a feature that will come to the app. I would also like the option of stoping auto-sense and hard locking a program until auto-sense is turned on again. Last option would be to swap manually to mic on phone when on a call in a noisy environment.
Unfortunately Oticon is an uncountable number of light years ahead of Phonak in hearing aid technology and app design including reliability and performance!
Thanks Hard to update. They say they send an update password for old app, but it never showed up. Used correct attached email address. Finally got logged in. Now the new app won’t even find my left hearing aide, no matter how I try. This is really hard for me, and I am computer savvy. Can’t imagine the frustration for someone who isn’t. Don’t really see much improvement in the app, other than wearing time option. Thanks for the video.
Downloaded the new app on my girlfriend's phone so I could test drive it there before updating it on mine. Glad I did! As Good Doctor Cliff pointed out...the banner ads for the Health and Remote Care functions eating up all that valuable real estate on the main Control screen are a giant step in the wrong direction. That alone will have me holding off on updating until they rectify that mistake. Likewise, deleting the visual icons showing the degree of speech focus, etc., is another example of making the app less functional instead of more. Here's hoping the Phonak PMs and Designers take user feedback to heart and make some quick improvements. Until then, I'll be sticking with the previous version on my phone.
It's not like hearing aids are inexpensive. They are investments for me in this world. To slap ads with a poor app doesn't equal customer service to me. More like greed
I can weigh in on this new app as I just yesterday got new virto paradises from my audiologist. When setting up the app she had no idea what has going on with it as it was brand new. Im tech savvy enough to figure it out, but the glaring issue with this app as you mentioned is the volume control. What frustrates me is while phonak uses regular bluetooth, they do not make it MFI. This means that the hearing aid shortcut through accessibility that I used on my old set is not usable for these. the app reconnects everytime to my hearing aids and the only option to change volume besides push button is through the app. My biggest issue with the slider is how if you aren't exactly on the knob to turn up or down the volume, it will just scroll down to the needless health page. its bad design and a horrible oversight.
I would like to be able to control the music present in the app while streaming my music to the Nidia M90s. I would like to control the bass level, and treble.
Dr Cliff....Thanks for the content. Being visually impaired I use Apple's Voice Over accessibility feature to utilize my Apple devices. At some point, the phonic app stoped working with Voice Over. Now when opening the app, it continuously cycles between the programs announcing each change through my hearing aids. My provider didn't have clusnso she called phonacwho said they didn't support voice Over. This is a life line for a majority of the blind/visually impaired community is totally unacceptable. Are you aware of this issue and do you know if any other manufacture supports Voice Over? The aids are M-90 and 3 years old. Thanks, Richard
I am not seeing any wear time for streaming although I stream two to six hours daily. Also as mentioned previously, in the previous version my wear time was fourteen hours daily but I recharge mid day during a nap (CFS) and this new version resets the wear time to zero when the recharge of my P70 RT pair happens.
You would think they would have realized this before roll-out. The same is true of the step counter but I find that far from accurate so I disregard it.
Wish it had the “find my hearing aid” feature. This would be really helpful for old and young alike. My son forgot his HA’s on the school bus and it would’ve been nice to know where to find them.
Love the tap but we need a way to skip music with a tap. We can stop/start but a way to skip a song would be great. I load my mp3 player with tons of songs and sometimes on a treadmill I just don't want to listen to a particular song. With my headphones I can double tap to skip that song but I cannot do this with the Phonak L90s.
How come I thought with Phonak Paradise 90R that once set on the app. hearing aids would automatically would follow the AutoSenseOS and adjust to my surroundings. I didn't realize that I had to focus on the app constantly.
Remove health tracking completely. Put remote support on the support tab and remove remote support from the home screen. Make a dark mode. Phonak made the app worse!
Arlan when are hearing aid manufactures and cell phone (Android) manufactures going to get to together on the connection issues. Why do my hearing aids keep disconnecting, changing from stereo to mono, amplify ambient noise on a phone call over my voice to the caller. I have tried three different manufacturers in the last 6 months and all have had the same problems.
Since my Phonak app was updated to this new version, it seems to be interfering with my ability to listen to UA-cam videos and news reports etc. on my computer through my hearing aids. I am one of those people that doesn't want to listen to my phone calls through my hearing aids. I am retired and spend little time on the phone and when I do I am satisfied with just having the phone's volume kicked up high. But I do depend on using my hearing aids to listen to my computer through my hearing aids so as not to disturb others in the room; and I do use the myPhonak app to check which aid needs its battery replaced and/or to switch hearing aid programs etc. Up until the newest myPhonak update, I could do both without any problem. But since the upgrade, myPhonak seems to be repeatedly breaking the bluetooth connection between my hearing aids and my computer. Is this possible? Did they change something which causes that? Or is it just some weird coincidence?
Thank you for reviewing the new app. When I updated my phone to the new app I lost all my custom settings? The home page of the app is too cluttered on the bottom. Also why is the equalizer limited to only 3 settings? Why not 5 or 8. Note: whenever I visit my audiologist for service, my custom settings drop out. Again very annoying. Finally does there exist a 3rd party app for Phonak that might be better. One Phonak app for all hearing losses seems limited. Why not better upgrades for music lovers, musicians, traveling clients, students, etc. Overall I give Phonak a 5 out of 5 on the Paradise Audeo hearing aids and 2 or 3 out of 5 on the app. Addionally, why did my audiologist limit me to a level 2p microphone on my hearing aid when better ones exist? I can buy a 2p for $20 on ebay. Seriously!
Dr. Cliff. My audiologist quoted $550 for the TV Connector which was beyond my budget and seemed overpriced! I bought one online for 1/3 the price although still more than it should be. Paired right up and works quite well. It put a new check box on the Phonak app which brings up the point. Down on the left is a little speaker icon with a / through it. I assumed this would shut off the hearing aid's TV connection, but it doesn't. The only thing it does is remove the / from the speaker icon. Is this the way yours works? Am I missing something? absurd
I got the TV connector. You can't mute the hearing aids, even when you mute the TV audio. My previous pair of Phonak HAs had a lanyard that you needed to wear to use the TV connector and remote microphone. It had a mute button. I don't' use the TV connector for these, because of no mute - I hate listening to commercials.
I really enjoy and appreciate these reviews. Developing middle-aged hearing loss has been a major annoyance. Having this rapidly evolving technology, and your reviews of them, is great.
Thanks for the update, Dr. Cliff. @Phonak I don't see anywhere where I can add a customized program. I have the Naida P90-UP. I agree with others that the home screen should be redesigned, and please reinstate the band equalizer as it was. The functions we use the most should be on the home screen. I too do not nor will I use the health functions. I only connect with my hearing aid professional but only once or twice a year. On the Devices tab, there's no real benefit for such large fonts and real estate for the different topics. As for the hearing aids, I've worn hearing aids for 30+ years and the Naida P90-UP since they were introduced, I still wish these had an off button instead of having to remove the battery.
Getting new Life aids in a couple of weeks (first new Phonaks in many years) and have been following the state of things. Was wondering if the new app had fixed the issue of the user-saved programs being overwritten by hearing care professional changes.
I can say the mute button has never worked on the old app and the new app. So when I connect TV to the app volume level super high and I have to go adjust it to lower the volume.
Thanks for this video. Overnight my IPhone had the new app format, and I was perplexed at first. I figured my way through it, while the Phonak website has no info on it that could find. Some of their how-to tutorials still show elements of the old format. 100 percent agree with you that shrinking down the volume slider for features I'm not interest in makes it harder to easily control. (But you do get superfluous video effects floating to the sides.) I have a lot of custom settings that now take longer to access as you have to scroll horizontally across the stop the screen. I guess if they have R&D folks on the payroll, they have to do something to earn their keep. Your video was so timely to my confused concerns that I have now hit the subscribe button and bell after months of stumbling upon the videos in my UA-cam field.
The old app worked well. I wish I could revert. The new app is cluttered with stuff that I don’t need and can’t use with my devices. I use my devices to hear. I have a fitness tracker watch and have no interest in changing that. I love my Audéo Life devices for what they do. But wish they would stay in the program I select instead of reverting to automatic. I wish Phonak would fix the notifications glitch when paired with my phone. I wish I could keep hearing the TV when I decide to multitask with a game on my iPhone. These things are more important to me than reformatting the app for features I can’t use and don’t need. And if the good people at Sonova are reading this, how about coming out with a reduced size travel charger that I can put in my travel kit. The Charger Case Go is very bulky.
Thanks for the update, Dr. Cliff. If Phonak does read this, let me remind them of their first responsibility: provide quality hearing products. Hi
I liked your review so much of the Audeo Belong B90T 312 that I bought one privately. Do you know if it can be controlled by the Phonak App and if flight mode can be selected via the App?
How to determine whether current hearing aid is compatible with Health App. I am getting nothing with my Phonak Audéo P50-RT. Do I need to update something?
Hi, what about finding a lost hearing aid. Is that supported by the app?
You are wise, friend.
I'm a phonak carrier and download it on my phone, question can I adjust the treble and bass on my phone too?
Thank you for the review. I agree with virtually all of the comments and suggestions you have offered. Decreasing volume control and equalizer functions and clutter screen are most annoying. Keep up the good work. Thank you
Just installed app this week. Still having a problem trying to save changes to volume, to change to restaurant mode, it goes there but does not save?
@@bk6555 does it work.. when you uninstall app and what you said above.. do you have a cros aid?
@@nikkirix4659 Yes it works. Uninstall the app, unpair and "forget" hearing aids on device, then start all over. Turn on My Location on phone. Would be nice if Phonak gives us the heads up on what to do.
@@bk6555 Thank you .. I have the paradise P90 non recharge with the cros.. Thank you.. I will try it.. Yes why didn't they say this in the app
@@nikkirix4659 I went to work when it happened to me. That was not fun because the auto feature sometimes just goes overboard.
Does the app allow you to see the last place the hearing aid was located for an elderly person who may frequently misplace it?
Question - I just got the Marvel aids & downloaded the app. When I go into the Health section it doesn’t let me tap into the Wearing Time & there isn’t any step count. Do I have to access that somewhere or is it not compatible with my model?
Yes sir, first nice video, thank you. Have a question, how do you tune off the call ringer so you don't hear the call ring in your hearing aids?
I can't find a way to save a different bluetooth and streaming profile or TV connector profile as these don't show up as delivered programs.
Is the APP really required or can the PHONAK hearing aids be operated with just bluetooth without the app?
Hi!
I am from Costa Rica and a friend of friend from the USA donated to me two Phonak hearing aids behind the ear, and it fits to my hearing loss level, not sure if the model links to the app.
Seems like the split volume option to control volume left and right individually has been removed ?
The battery level icons does not show up on the app, why?
I am waiting for my Phonak aids now and look forward to giving them a complete run through using the app. Thanks for making these videos!!
Dr. Cliff truly enjoy all your videos they are all clearly explained and have saved me many hours of research wonderful thank you
My pleasure Peter!
Do they have live listening
Dr. Cliff, are you able to update the firmware of your Phonak Hearing aids through the MyPhonak App?
What I have the most trouble is the app disconnects and you have to wait for it to reconnect to adjust your settings. Its inconvenient during conversations at restaurants and other events where sound level changes. Your companions have to hold there conversations while you adjust. Phonak says that this is a battery saving effort, but phone calls are available instantaneously
Yes! Yes! Yes!
Yep..,grrrr
Is the diary feature still available? I have not been able to find it. I am picking up my Virto Paradise hearing aids today.
Do the have a find my hearing aid feature
Hows the stability of this version on Android? The previous one used to crash all the time.
What if I don't want health tracking at all? I do that elsewhere in my iPhone.
Was surprised when this automatic update appeared on my phone.
Had got used to the previous version which worked well for me & Audéo P-70R
Don't like the new style home page with the large 'advert' for health features which for me duplicate settings on other apps I use.
I have promised Phonak I will give it a fair trial, but so far still prefer the previous version. I am in UK. Has this update been rolled out globally?
We have it in N.Z. I consider it to be a downgrade and wish the previous version was available,
You either have your phone set to automatically update apps or not. I have mine set to not so I know what is being updated and can read the notes and maybe skip any I don’t want.
Are steps counted when made on a treadmill
Can I listen to music on my phone with music hearing aids?
Thanks
Hard to update.
Volume Control is a Huge Disappointment since I downloaded the latest app version. Your review simply_line are right on target for my experience.
My provider didn't have clusnso she called phonacwho said they didn't support
voice Over. This is a life line for a majority of the blind/visually impaired community is totally unacceptable. Are you aware of this issue and do you know if any other manufacture supports Voice Over? The aids are M-90 and 3 years old. Thanks, Richard
I have Phonak Marvell hearing aids. I don't think the app does anything new for me and is a little bit more fiddly to use.
Is this App the same one that is on the latest Lumity RT 90 model?
Yes
Wish it had the “find my hearing aid” feature. This would be really helpful for old and young alike. My son forgot his HA’s on the school bus and it would’ve been nice to know where to find them.
i have phonaks 0459 where is the help ,also android phone ,this is so frustrating
Seriously!
Doctor, Can deaf people who use hearing aid speak well and communicate well with hearing people like in works, school?
Will phonak ever have tinnitus settings? Like with wave features and adjustments?
Awesome Presentation
Absolutely agree with what is being said having just got my aids dislike the reduced screen and if it ain't broke don't fix it ,love my aids though
I do not get adjust program button or split control to work
App doesn't work. Every time I make a change in the app my hearing aid goes back to default the next time a text comes in. How can you say this works?
Dr.
I’m also wondering if there’s any word on when the app will be compatible with the CROS hearing aid system. It’s so frustrating that it isn’t yet.
I’m in the same boat. I wonder why it still isn’t compatible with the cros hearing aids.
@@hogops2452 My audiologist told me yesterday they’re saying by August, but she said they’ve pushed it back so many times not to count on it lol.
I agree… I have Signia AX Cros with alot of app adjustment…. Was wanting to try the P90’s…. May not even be worth it with no app support.
Great review and totally agree with your likes and dislikes. Thanks
Come on! How hard would it be to add a Dark Mode? Theaters, dimmed lighting in meeting rooms, night time vehicles, etc.
I use my app to adjust my Kirkland Signature 9s regularly, love it
