It was a lovely movie. Thank you for making us learn and know the correct history. I've always learnt shri wickrama was a cruel leader but just after watching your movie I did I know that he wasn't... I think mainly school kids must watch 🎉
I can guess just feom the trailer this movie is gonna be amazing. Cast, acting, plot everything seems to be extremely fitted. The only thing that bothers is the beards and hairs. They don't look so realistic.
As someone who knows alot about srilankan history, the kandyan dynasty was alot more developed. This trailer looks like it was from the polonnaruwa dynasty. Women were fully clothed and fashionable in the early 1800's. They all wore fancy kandyan sarees with floral prints, pearl necklaces and fancy shoes, the upper class men were very fashionable too. Even the regular people weren't this minimalistic. The kandyan city was quite urbanized for that time with kandyan architecture and decent infrastructure. This trailer is mostly just grasslands and forests which isn't realistic. Most of the disputes with the brits happened in the city. And why are all the british soldiers srilankan ?? 😭 The only thing they got right was the ships. But that too must've been a coincidence bc they used ships from the 1800's for a movie based in the 1200's. We need to do better than this

CGI hasn't been completed yet, the beards and hairs will look more realistic once CGI is completed.
