I wonder if you guys ever considered adding another camera that shows the remote controls and then split-screen/over-lay on with the aircraft flying shots. I think that would be beneficial to beginners (including myself).
We would absolutely love to do this type of thing! The hard truth is that we are usually pressed for time, mainly because of our family life. Even adding this extra camera angle on the airplane probably added around 2 extra hours of work or so for this video. There just aren’t enough hours in the day it feels like! 😅💯⚓️
SWEET maiden of a really COOL plane!! LIKE that you showed the transmitter while maneuvering, that helps me understand!! Ok, ABBY it's YOUR TURN TO FLY IT!! REALLY!! Thanks Saylors for the AWESOME, honest review and GREAT drone chasing and nose gear shot!! I LOVE the boing-boing spring nose gear, it's practical and functional!! 💟👍😎
Dang, Nate, nice landings! Holy cow, you greased it in over and over. Nice stability at low speed in ground effect. Nice cam work Abby. Be well guys :)
Can we just appreciate Abbey amazing camera work 🎥 like 👍 always and Nate amazing flying ability this is one sweet big plane ✈️ happy flying all 😊😊😊😊⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️
I absolutely want to see Abby fly this plane. And also - since, let's be honest, Abby has been phoning-in her "BYE-ee" signature sign-off for quite awhile now - I would like to make a Proposition: I hereby propose that, whenever Abby flies an aircraft on camera, NATE is obligated to perform the RCSaylors Signature Sign-off, in his best effeminate singsong voice. 😂 No, on second thought, that's a terrible idea; I hereby rescind my proposition. 😜
@@TheRcSaylors Not the best transmitter. I particularly don't like that there is no throttle cut. The gimbals are ok but not like a Spektrum or Radiomaster.
For beginners I wouldn’t call it boring, instead stressless flying. As an experienced flyer I think flying routine routes lets you see how the wind affects the aircraft and also lets you dial in motor control for the radio you are using.
....i just clicked on your link and the Ranger 1220mm is now on sale for $169.99 PNP with Reflex.....if i didnt already have one....i would definitely purchase one....
@@Stirling_RC_Videos Cool - yes you are correct - it does look like the one in the video today but has lime green highlights instead of yellow. Thank you - I'll do a bit more research.
This seems an awful lot like the Mini Apprentice S. Yes, it does use rubber bands but I did find that more forgiving when I got it stuck in the tree, LOL. Didn't break the wings. It is a pain in the butt to put the rubber bands on, but when you're driving with it, it makes travel a lot easier when you can put the wings on top of the fuselage and throw it in the trunk. Also I found out that you can put up to a 2200 Mah 3S battery in The Apprentice S and it flies forever.
This was my first plane and I think will be my favorite always It got me into the hobby and now I'm flying EDFs! Got a couple vids and shorts on my channel and can't wait to make more content! I just picked up a 4k runcam
Is a good looking plane & flew well.😲😲🥺🥺🥹🥹🥹 Abby said she wanted to fly this plane. 😭😭 YES Abby must Fly more.🥴😉😉. To be fair about pusher prop planes ( looked this up ) the wright brothers did the kitty hawk thing in 1903. In & around 1909-1912 Glenn h Curtis was credited with building the first pusher prop bi-plane. Also went on to owning a plane manufacturing company. Fun fact the military had a pusher prop Bomber the b-36 which was eventually replaced by the b-52 which was smaller than the b36. So not as plentiful or appreciated, but they have been around awhile & a place in history. Hope no one took offense I just like the pusher look. So I had to defend them.😏😏🥴🥴😉😉. It certainly a was beautiful day for flying. ⚓️⚓️👍💚🧡💛👍😲🥺🥹😭👍🥴😏😉👍⚓️⚓️.
I have a question about the Ranger 1220mm RC plane. How does the The front spring landing gear hold up on a grass field? Does the prop hit the ground with the spring landing gear? I really like the airplane.
What kind of higher ah batteries can I use? New to this and just not sure if what plug it has? Seems like different brands of batteries have different plugs?
@TheRcSaylors Nate and Abby I want to thank you guys for all the great content it has given me hours upon hours of great enjoyment I'm a novice to the Hobby but I have Superior interest in flying RC planes I fly on the simulator several hours a day and have gotten pretty good! Unfortunately I was in a terrible accident about 5 years ago which has left me unemployable but I do visit a few of the RC fields near my home and am awestruck by the sport in person, with the grace of God someday I'll be able to afford to buy a plane and I hope to post some content online with a dedication to the two of you for inspiring me! it always puts a smile on my face seeing new content on your channel. I truly appreciate your honest reviews. Thank you once again. God bless your beautiful family. Sincerely, Chuck

I have the v2 and v3 reflex on this thing and i would say dont buy the v3 unless you are very bad at flying. With the v3 you dont have enough control for yourself because it does to much. So when you get kind of good at flying it will get in the way and you wont want it anyway. Hope this helps.

Great video. You guys are awesome!
My first FMS model and by far the best trainer I have. Great review Nate and yes I would love to see Abby flight it.

Nate I really like this plane it's real scale been thinking about it for a while might put it on my Christmas list
This is a tough one... if Abby is flying, which I would like to see, then that means Nate will be videoing. Humm? 🤔 😊
I learnt to fly with this plane by myself, it was so good I bought a second and I was flying the efxtra 90mph+ the next year

Did you ever fly it on 2200 3S packs if so how did it do?
Need to see a video with details of how to use the controller for begginers step by step and what each button is for please thanks
Would love to see an enlarged version with a 60" - 65" version - same color scheme because I am older and just need the larger size.
FMS has an 1800mm Ranger. That has flaps and nav lights if I remember correctly.

is it better than the trojan E-Flite T-28 ? what is the best rc plane for beginners and intermediate?
I have a question about the Ranger 1220mm RC plane. How does the The front spring landing gear hold up on a grass field? Does the prop hit the ground with the spring landing gear? I really like the airplane.
Don't worry. The support is very good. about the spring undercarriage. But the takeoff area needs to be leveled.
I originally had one, but it crashed after a year of having it and I bought one just today
OK NATE AM UNBOXING IT TODAY SEE IF IT REALLY TAKE ME 10 MIN .
PROBABLY 20MIN IN MY CASE .
What kind of higher ah batteries can I use? New to this and just not sure if what plug it has? Seems like different brands of batteries have different plugs?
Mine has an XT60 plug and flies with a 2200mah 3S pack with no issue; I've heard 3000mah+ packs are also doable
Hows this compare to the apprentice stol or aeroscout?
What are some larger battery packs i could buy to make it fly longer and where could i buy them?
Is the front wheel steerable
Yes it is! I just never really showed a steering shot with the “landing gear cam” but it steers very well 👍💯😎⚓️

Yes, Including when it becomes floatplane,I bought the parts.
Got one last month haven't unboxed it yet.
It will only take you 15 minutes or so to assemble! Maybe half an hour if you take your time with it. Easy assembly 👍💯😎⚓️
I think the most difficult thing about this plane is simply finding one. Have never seen em in stock.

How strong a wind can you fly this in? Thanks in advance
I've flown mine in 9mph. Handles it well. I've been flying mine for about 6 weeks now.
