tá aghaidh gan freckles cosúil le spéir gan réaltaí. Now what I tried to say was a face without freckles is like a sky without stars . For all I know google translate may have told you “ dishwasher burlap freckles get stuck in real-time”. love your posts, the comedic timing is impressive!

Watching this (a year late) I can tell you that you Spanish is not bad. Its actually pretty good. All you need is practice so it comes out more naturally. oh and also, Merry Christmas!

Lmao, Nobody’s Child, I haven’t heard that since my granny used to sing it 50 years ago. Why did Irish grannies love maudlin songs! I haven’t stopped laughing yet about you singing it 😆

Part of my friggin family lives in Mallorca, and other areas of Spain, and I've never been there. I've had mad wanderlust my entire life, probably because as it turns out, my ancestral DNA basically spans the globe. One day, by God, I will travel further than the North American continent and the Caribbean! Also, since American education is sadly lacking, I need to actually learn some other languages. For some reason, teaching Spanish in my family, stopped with my parents, and my aunt's and uncles, so none of my siblings, cousins, or I, ever learned. First generation of non-bilinguals. Hmmm :/

Many Irish Girls are married with Spanish Guys, and Many Irish Men with Spanish Girls. I lived in Barcelona during ten years and these couples are cool. Irish and Spanish have many thinks in common. For them family is very important and Both have common celtic and Catholic ancestors.

Your Spanish is better than my Spanish. I do enjoy the food though.
Also, I started a list of things I'm slowly becoming allergic to recently called "Yummy things trying to kill me", for some reason, the title of this video reminded me of that.
I burn, then go back to pale, with the odd freckle.
I also prefer colder weather, born in August and more recently developed some health issues that are easier to handle in cooler weather. I hope your Christmas and New Years were wonderful.
I'm sitting in Melbourne Australia and it's 28 degrees, which is actually better than it was an hour ago.
I shall watch more of your videos.

thisdamnthingy Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. My Spanish is aaaaawful but you're very kind. Hope you had a great festive season! We're now preparing for "Three Kings" day in Spain. I've no clue what it is but my niece is excited. You should do a video-that is the BEST title ever!!

I'm procrastinating about starting a food blog, I take many pictures of tasty things and sometimes, I say things about them that most people don't, a catchy title escapes me currently. If a child is excited about something, it's gotta be good, not sure about vlogging, I'm better at the writing stuff, although if I start talking about something I love, get comfy, I'm making dumb excuses for not getting started aren't I? Does that make me an artist?! 10:12pm right now, suddenly very awake, typical, have an awesome day.

Hey Diane, had to check out your channel after watching that old Facts video with the pimple popping (also, you were totally right in loving those, the rest of the lads really don't know what's good in life)
Lovely video, but I thought I'd chime in being a spaniard myself: most of what you're describing, especially about the spanish attitude is not so much a Spanish thing as it is a southern Spanish thing. Trust me, us northerners dislike exactly the same things as you do, funnily enough. Taxi drivers are not so different here though, that's for sure. Takes someone who spends 8 hours daily on the road to be THAT eager to crash their car.

5:20 Kipling, right.?. Reminds me of a poem I keep forgetting to read lol
Also, if you want some hustle and bustle, some chances to practice your Spanish, AND plenty of cold fireplace weather, then I have a great, selfish suggestion for a place you could try next time you're in the States O:) O:) O:) lol
Keep up the great work, as always!

I prefer cold to heat as well. It's bloody 95 degrees here in North Florida with 100% humidity! I got so sunburned about 3 weeks ago after laying out, I'm still peeling! Ughh.. I can't seem to tan anymore, I freckle and burn as well. When I was a kid I could, but now I'm just pasty white. Oh well. At least I will look younger longer than the sun worshippers around here!

If you are in a EU country you can apply for EU pet passport for your pets that you want to travel with inside EU. This does *not* apply to Norway, Iceland, Switzerland and Lichtenstein (EEA countries) and other none EU countries.

A few live in Asturias in northern Spain and some in Alicante! But, yeah Costa del Sol/Torre Molinos is nice! Don't feel bad about your Spanish, My Gaelic/Celtic Irish isn't comprehensible, not even to me! Now that's shite!!

They teach Esperanto in Ireland!? I ran across that word while looking for a another word in the dictionary once. The average American would be totally clueless as to what Esperanto is. The average American would be clueless about a plethora of things for that matter😀

      @DianeJennings  7 років тому +3

Haha I don't think the concept of a universal language worked out that great in actuality. I think like 5 ppl in the whole world are fluent in Esperanto. It was a great basis for other languages though!

    • @LuCia_Awen

I was amazed that you were taught Esperanto! The last generation I know that sort of learnt it is my mum's, in Spain Esperanto was a thing around the 50s and some schools taught it
I didn't know that in Ireland you could learn it too, and not that long ago
