When the PF requests Gear Down/ Flaps 15, the PM Slelects Gear Down, Verifies the 3 green lights, and selects Flaps 15. This is because the Gear may not go down 100 percent of the time. This is to avoid doing the checklist of PARTIAL GEAR OR ALL GEAR UP CHECKLIST with flaps 15 and Gear configuration. The config sound is annoying and you'll have extra and unnecessary extra drag.
Hi, This is a great direct question, unfortunately I don’t think am the best to answer it, Personally I put the gear down then F15 without waiting for the three green lights. But to be honest with you am not 100% sure that is the right way to do it. This is the long answer, the short answer I don’t know. Sorry Abdul
