Super jealous of your 15V Manix. Got the 15V shaman on the drop and just got the 15V PM2 in the seconds sale. Had the 15 Manix in my cart and it was gone when I checked out. Need it to complete my 15V collection
Don’t be jealous! Its the only 15V Spyderco I own and if it wasn’t for an amazing viewer, I wouldn’t have any! Id love to have them all too but I’m grateful to own 1! And honestly that’s really all you need to enjoy the steel. With the edge retention of 15V, you really don’t need more than one with a proper edge and you’d get more satisfaction than you could from 10 15V models with factory edges!
Cts-xhp is my favorite steel. Had a cold steel ak47 in ctsxhp, reprofiled down to 15 degrees and was still cutting through waffle board and plastic wrap for little over a year!
Thanks brother! Venev diamond stones + gunny juice on basswood and kangaroo strops make it easy! I never go above F800 and the majority are only taken up to F400 and then stropped on 3 & 1 micron gunny juice! Besides that it’s just practice and repetition. Getting that shinny isn’t the hard part, it’s getting it that shiny and still maintaining the crazy level of sharpness and aggression that really separates the boys from the men! I still learn things and improve constantly so its a journey my friend, definitely doesn’t happen overnight! 👊🏼😁
@@BLADESANDFADESOFFICIAL I’ve been using the Worksharp Precision Pro. I’ve seen someone take it to grits like you but using 3M sheets using my set up. Maybe one day man, I still have under 10 knives under my belt so still learning. Thanks for video and the reply.
My 15V Manix is a 100% Flytanium build. Smooth, stonewash Ti scales, ceramic ball upgrade, bronze anodized Ti ball cage and full hardware kit. Well, okay, I guess it's not 100% Flytanium. I always install a Lynch clip, and am sporting a bronze anodized Ti clip on the Manix. She is a LOOKER!
Love your videos bro! I have a few Spyderco knives in my collection and absolutely love them. Your sharpening videos are awesome and have helped me get started sharpening my own blades. Keep the videos coming.
@@BLADESANDFADESOFFICIAL Do you sharpen for people? Your work is amazing!!!! I am pretty impressed with your work on your edges! I’m ok with it, but You are on a Different Level!!!!
Do you know of any tip or tricks for improving action on the endura/endela/delica knives? Do they get better w time? Just got an Endela. BTW you have an amazing collection. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you brother and yes all the lightweight back lock models break in over time. You can always losen the pivot a 1/4 turn but you will probably have to loctite it to keep it from coming loose. If you do decided to try that just make sure you use quality torx ANY time you’re working on your knives! The only torx that I trust are the wiha soft touch torx driver* set. I’ve been using them daily for years. That alone will save you a ton of unnecessary headaches and I have them linked in every video description!
Nice top ten carried knives. Spyderco is definitely a brand that i carry more than any other. Hopefully the AWT scales get your 15v manix fixed, so far AWT has been the best for me with the manix 2.
Thanks brother! And yeah man I hope! I’m not sure if it was the scale specifically or a combination of factors but I have those AWT scales on the way which use a extra standoff in the rear of the handle which id imagine will help big time in keeping it together. I also bought new washers and new screws just incase. I may order a replacement ball for the lock also just to rule out that as a possibility. Basically any of the parts that are replaceable. I was able to get it to stay together for a decent period of time with fresh hardware and the RSD scales but eventually it started coming loose again and I think after you tighten down the screws so many times, the threads stretch or something to where they just don’t want to stay tight. Im also going to clean the new screw’s really well and use loctite so I have my fingers crossed. I can’t imagine that I won’t be able to get it to stay together but alot of the issues with this so far have been odd and surprised me so anything’s possible. All I know is I’m not a quitter and I love this knife so eventually I’ll get it figured out!
Yeah bro, I love Glocks but going from a gen 3 G17 to the X Macro was a no brainer. Smaller, better ergos, shoots flatter, same capacity, better accuracy…. Only downsides are the price and you have to maintain it more because the surfaces rust fairly easily (which sucks) but overall it’s better for my needs in every way! And I still have my old faithful G17 if I ever need that glock reliability in the apocalypse!
@@BLADESANDFADESOFFICIAL i literally just yesterday sent my only maxamet blade to Way of Knife to mess around with...interested to see what they do with it
@@paullmight42 hopefully they do a nice job for you! Whatever you do, DONT let them cut a sharpening choil in your blade!!!!! You would regret it I promise..
Yeah but that was before all the covid bs.. who knows where they are at with it now… no telling how long it could be or how many they will make on the next run. 😐
Hey Sean thanks for sharing your amazing collection , I also have the Manix 2 in 15V around the same time as you , I have the Rockscale liner less scales , glow Rhino Ti iridium ball cage , glow rhino iridium lanyard plug , Ripps Garage ano green clip , I’ve had zero problems with the scales 🤷🏻♂️
That’s awesome brother, I’m sure that’s most people’s experience. I don’t blame the RSD scales for the issues, I really loved them but I just got tired of screws coming out constantly so im praying ill have better luck with the next configuration.
Great collection, man. Your knives are amazing and very well modded and sharpened. But, sorry, I don't want to see your gun. Knives are cutting tools, guns are weapons.
They all get used…. Alot. You can use your knives without destroying them just incase you didn’t know. It’s called choosing the right tool for the job. Some of us who don’t come from money know how to take care of our nice things. 😉

What angle do you sharpen your Spydercos ?
Most of them are 15-16°
