Hiya the regen couldnt complete even though it went all the way 60 mins... light still flashing. Ive changed oil and filter and fuel filter still flashing can delete code but it comes bavk on straight away? Any advice please

Hey.. My. Mazada 6 2.2 has gone I to limp mode, EML on due to dpf. Error codes point towards it.. Is there anyway for me to do a regen with out that tool you have there.. I have a basic obd I can hook up to my phone. I found a regen program that can work with it.

How to do this without that obd tool or reader?
Go for longer highway trip with the same rpm. Before that you could add premium diesel fuel.
There also a port in the fuse box you can bridge across to earth urn the key on pump accelerator 10 times then start and it will start a force regen
@@davidboyd8223 That procedure is only to reset the light on the dashboard. Will not clean the DPF filter if it is clogged and needs a regeneration (clean up).
I went to the highway for 1 hour driving but there were trucks and cars that prevented me to clean up properly the DPF filter and also to maintain fixed amount of RPMs. I could not clean the DPF warning light by itself. I bought a Service Computer now and doing the DPF filter regeneration with it as I write. My car is a 2011 Mazda 3 2.2 Diesel. Half through the regen process and it takes roughly one hour. I will update with the results. I have tried to clean the Warning light with a cheap OBD 2 tool but didn't work. It is the DPF filter that needed a good clean up.

Would reving the engine speed the process up abit, 30 minutes seems quite long for a regen .
No it wouldn't, but if the soot content is so high, it will only take whatever the computer recieves information from the ECU and don't forget to reset all dpf data after regeneration. thanks 🙏🏼

This one went for about 70 min to finish regeneration.....

@@nozydozy4806 I did 4 Regen cycles with my CAR Computer but did not clean the DPF warning light. I brought the car to a cheap mechanic and he fixed the problem pretty much on the spot just resetting the Service Log Book with his own car computer. Because I had been doing changes of oil and filter myself I did not reset the mazda log book every time I did it so it showed as due. Unfortunately Mazda at least for my car model didnt add a service warning light when due but just shows up as DPF filter warning light. So wrong. The problem was not my DPF filter as it was clean but the service due warning that had to be reset. A bunch of problems in many Mazdas shows up with a DPF filter warning light.... CRAZY.
@@pedecia I had the same problem like you, and went to other Mechanic to reset the oil change kilometers and the light was gone. I have Delphi diagnostic I got on Aliexpress, it's pretty good but there is no DPF regeneration option, so I do it myself on a highway every week. I also put additive for DPF cleaner in my gas tank and it helps. How many KMs do you have on your mazda? I am close to 260.000 and the engine is for now working pretty good, never had major issues with my 2.2 liter and 185 hp
DPF flashing light on Mazda means oil change, when DPF light is constant than it’s DPF problem. Put your device in a bin and use FORScan

Forscan does the same, for free. With a simple obd reader.
Besides, I can't see how anyone would find this video useful.
Hi. My dpf light is flashing and now the engine light is on, and car is in a limp mode.
On my Cx-5 2016 2.2 diesel, just after Oil change at Mazda I also had the DPF frequency warning, but with ForScan looking closely to the pm_acc_dsd paramenter I tried to adapt a different guide style (more highway and 2500 revs) and was able to reach 304km with no regeneration after 3 regeneration of 50-60 km each. Then when I stopped the car and restarted, the DPF warning P243C - (DPF regeneration frequency) was gone!
