I've been playing this mod quite a lot, and it has made downwell feel so much more fun to play! But I think it would be nice to give some criticisms that I have. Although +4 charge makes a lot of sense (considering that there's a +4 health upgrade), charges and health are not very equal. I'd say raising it to about 8-10 would make it much more valuable. +400 gems upgrade is also a pretty low number when you really look at it. You can usually get more than or slightly less than that much in 1 level if you kind of try. And especially when you consider the fact that shop prices get higher the further down you go, which will usually cost over 1000 on average, making it somewhere like 800-2000 range would make it much more valuable, and at times, seem like a necessity. Considering how terrifying the free merchant becomes, I feel like it might be nice if the merchant is slightly less op when you have the Member's Card upgrade. Lobber feels pretty weird to use. I think it would probably be better if it was maybe a little larger. For the extra jump upgrade, I think it would be better if you could use it AFTER your last shot, instead of DURING. But for all I know, that could probably add an extra layer of difficulty or not be as useful. In terms of ideas, I think it would be fun to just add a bunch of effects. 1 HP, infinite HP, 1 charge, infinite charges, NO charges? (then when you reach the final boss, it's a timed survival) (or alternatively, you have blanks that don't damage enemies except for the final boss), double combos, or double gems (+ the dark effigy upgrade, which gives EVEN MORE) Also love how afraid I become when seeing the merchant sign, especially when I don't remember if the option is toggled on or off. I like how some rooms seem to make him incapable of being lured out, which makes it feel like a middle finger in a funny way. I hope Insanity mode is just fighting the merchant lol. Overall awesome mod! As far as I know, I'm pretty sure this is the first, and I'm really happy to finally see a mod for such a great game that is so irritatingly underappreciated. Keep doing wonders!

mod development is in stasis due to higher priority projects, i would be interested in returning to it in the future if any interest remains
