Idc what anyone says about Tuhon Tim Waid. Even though I belong to a different PTK organization and I am loyal to it, I still respect Tim Waid and love his approach to the art. I recently purchased all of his first 6 DVD set and will be spending a lot of time implementing it with my own stuff I’ve already learned. You can tell by watching him that he learned under a much younger Leo Gaje Jr. He moves around so much more with way more footwork then any other Tuhon ive seen or trainned with. Atleast that is my theory and why I think he learned a more ancient version of PTK that is based more on longer into close quarters (tribal warfare) with longblades vs what is taught more today which is we just start at close quarters and train from there. That is awesome and all but how did we get there in the first place?? That is why I like Tuhon Waids approach. Keep up these awesome videos. Gumagalang Magmula Sa Puso!
PARR53 Thank you for your kind comments. I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate what you've just said with regards to Tuhon Tim Waid. For years, our teacher has absorbed a rather unfair amount of hate from just about everyone, thanks to Grandtuhon Gaje and his fanatics continuously slandering him in public. Yes, for years everyone who had trained in Pekiti-Tirsia Kali have regurgitated the line that PTK is a "close-quarter, in-fighting system," but no one knew "how" to get into those close-quarters effectively. It's no wonder why so many PTK "experts" only look like PTK when they're doing drills, but once they start sparring their movements look nothing like PTK. It isn't so much that Tuhon Tim Waid learned a more "ancient" version, but rather he is able to take the principles taught in PTK and is able to train and teach it to be simplified and effective as actual combat tactics. This is one of the reason's why he was THE FIRST to introduce and teach PTK to the Philippine Marines in the 90's; Grandtuhon got a large share of the credits because it's his family system, but Tim Waid did most of the leg work as far as training the soldiers. I'm optimistic, as I have been noticing a gradual but steady change of attitude from many PTK people. You are one such example of that positive change. Galang and keep training!
Sorry dude. I checked the video settings and everything is normal. I dunno what's 'cause it to be unavailable to you. Are you having problems viewing other videos or just this one in particular?

Is Tim's PTK CQC Military DVD worth the purchase if I already own the other 6? I'm still new to PTK and want to learn from every possible source.
Of you check the list of well known kalistas that were kicked out, there's a pattern and it is not a healthy one.
what exactly did Tuhon Waid do for him to be hated? I honestly don't know
Theres lots to learn here even if you don't know what you're looking for. And much more if you do.
