Have watched your vids for a year now and between the tips and the gameplay I've improved a ton. I went from being that one random with no damage to winning no-fill master lobbies. As far as tip 2 goes, I'm a Valk main on console. It's become 2nd nature to switch to whatever heal I need while in the landing animation for the jetpack. Honestly my heal-wheel swapping has become so fast that the wheel doesn't even appear on screen anymore. It's basically a hotkey at this point.
Side note: I still remember before I found your channel I ran into your squad on King's Canyon in final ring and thought "what the hell? mangoes grow on trees...?" Stuck with me ever since.
Tip 7 is a big one, most ppl don’t even know how long it takes to use each healing item (in seconds) and what is the exact best heal to use at what time. It’s not that hard to really take the time to understand this and if you do you will become so much more comfortable at healing in fights if needed and communicating this to your teammates. For example “I need to heal!” sometimes doesn’t get the point across as much as “I have to hit this med kit I need 8 seconds of cover”
I don't know how long each healing takes. Shield healing is faster than health. A battery saves you time, so the medkit. Honestly, this isn't important knowledge. If you played this game enough, you'll evaluate everything automatically.
What does the knowledge '"it takes x seconds" help while fighting. You need to know how long you enemy takes to catch you. If your healing takes less time than it's a good idea.
In the end, the gut is more important.
Same with weapons:
I don't know how much hits it takes for a volt to kill the enemy. Does it mean I'm not shredding with it? Nope
Yeah no i couldnt yell you exactly how long a healing item takes i just know them by feel its a micro decision that good players make without thinking knowing how long the items take specifically is especially not neccessary in a game with crazy movement considering "hey i need 10 seconds" "octane pad whole enemy teams on your healing dog ass now" learning how to effectively switch is far more important than memorizing med times cause if you can do that then you get plenty of time to heal

It’s always so shocking to me how nobody seems to freelook while dropping in. I always look around so I can pick the right and safest spot to land and I want to know where everyone around me at nearby poi’s are at so I know what I’m walking into while making my rotations.
For tip # 2, it depends of the fight, if you're fully commiting to an all out push, yes keep the batteries on the hot slot, but if you're peaking from medium range or playing a lot around cover in a close range fight, then keep your cells on the hot slot especially if your squadmate is trying to finish the last enemy. A 2vs1 with low health is always gonna be better than 2 separated 1vs1.
Mid fight, team shooting > solo full reset.

I take the "one shot" call with a grain of salt lol I'm so glad the characters state if an enemy's shield is cracked. However I'm not always able to check the killfeed to see who's cracked while in the midst of a fight. Normally if I don't know how much health is left I'll just say "flesh" or "cracked" but that I don't know how much health is left. However if I know I hit someone for about 149 or like 190, then I'll say "he's about one shot". I had someone say this and the enemy still had some shields left and I got killed xD
I also found that when a random is constantly pinging after getting knocked (I'm not talking about new players, because I'm sure they'll ping at just about anything, no offense) it means either the enemy is super low, or the enemy is low and doing a finisher. The issue with this is sometimes they're kind of too far away for me to even stop what's happening from happening. I'm not expecting my teammates to be super nearby when playing pubs, but in ranked...no use in constantly pinging if you're halfway across the map alone. What did you expect would happen? lol
yo mango i’ve been watching your vids for hella long and i’d absolutely love a video on switching from a charecter like wraith that’s able to queue out of practically any situation to a more laid back character such as horizon or ash, whenever i try to i always find a way to unconsciously put myself in a situation I can’t get out of because i built my play style around being able to queue out.

for mistake 2 I would just say best thing is, just bind every heal to a button.
I like the tag team shoots at enemies concept a lot
I avoid calling an enemy "one shot" completely specially here in Apex where anyone can just duck in cover and pop a couple of shield cells
Free looking is somewhat obsolete with the changes now it pings on your map which is nice because that was always just a chore to do EVERY single game on drop vs just being able to look at the map

I always instantly change my heal wheel to cells the second i land and bats when I get one
This is a great habit to build! Take note that sometimes cells first is best to stay parked on. For those poke fights, safe rotates, or like Mango said when you need to play your low battery economy

I'll be honest, I KNOW the ring issue is a mistake, and I STILL fall victim to it. I never noticed that it tells you which ring though. I can say that I don't do any of the other mistakes. If I had to add one though, it would be to pay attention to your ammo at all times. I know that one seems simple, but when I get into an intense fight, I sometimes lose sight of my ammo count, and when I go dry, it auto switches, but I always assume I bumped the mouse wheel, and switch back. This has gotten me knocked SO many times. I recover more now, but I still go down a lot
Hey mangosintrees I haven't played Apex in a while but I never forgot a lot of tips and tools you've dished out. and since my break I went from averaging an .84 KD each season to spiking up to 1.37 and climbing. I'm actually contending with PC players and their forbidden movement! 😤
#3 is so big this season! Everyone in ranked wants to fight and it sucks... go play Pubs if u want to slay out!

Hope you doing well mango appreciate ya every time I jump into a match. Earlier I got into a fight won dropped my purple armor and got a red one didn't need the purple armor swap but I felt like a boss. That 50 50 rule has saved my life

The first mistake is not so much as I don't pay attention is that sometimes I end up going up against 2 to three different teams and that holds me back alot of times

Bruh its useless it literally last for 0.01 milliseconds
Whenever I don't free look it's usually because I enjoy the not knowing how many teams are there and it keeps me on my toes, but if I am free looking it means I've been having a couple of tough games
Nice list. I feel my biggest weakness is getting one clipped. The first bullet hits me, I get slowed and cant escape the bullets that follow it.
It happens all the time. I play on a 150 ping server so that could be adding to my difficulty and I'm an older gamer so my reaction time is not what it could be. However I really just don't know what I'm getting wrong here.
Just won my first keyboard and mouse game, then mangos dropping heat, it's a good day

Sometimes i load in the dropship i keep finding myself out of habit trying to a bat in my heal wheel😂
great video but you should defenetly put in that many dont look if they reloaded both guns
i´ve seen so many die bc they forgot to reload one of their guns
i do only have one mistake, ok maybe two mistakes, i make: not using cover, this tactic (50/50) you mentioned there is very simple but really effective and i think i am gonna use this; also i often heal myself and dont cover my mates bc i think if i cover even more i´ll get knocked and that won´t help my team
I'm sorry but I'll have to disagree with the heals statement, it's very situational to say to use bats first is a bad idea. The cells should be first pick as sometimes in the middle of a fight you will need to heal, especially if you are ambushed and a teammate has gone down. Having fast heals allows for a slight advantage in a situation like this.
Now the bat being first is good BUT ONLY if you are about to push a fight.
I know you're like an expert or whatever but that's just something I can see getting people killed, taking too long to pop a bat instead of hitting a cell. It would also be a waste of bat. Most of the time you aren't gonna need to use the bat unless you just got absolutely lasered. You will likely find your self missing 1 shield slot if you're ambushed. You should be able to hide pop a cell and fight again this puts pressure on the other squad or squads and will 9/10 cause them to back off or stall them off long enough for your team to get healed up if one was knocked and help you finish the fight.
Point is the bat or cell thing is highly situational and down to preference I would call that a mistake.

another thing i hate is when i play games and temamates ping enemy and u rush there to be with them for the fight and there never was a enemy and one question im wondering about is should u change the FOW in the settings ? i never changed mine so far since i started late in season 18 to play apex would love to hear ur opinion on FOW or if i just can ignore it and keep it on default

Ive lost so many good games too long fights that I end up winning but then die to the ring 😭
Mistake #6 I will say they are low when I put them low or practical 1shot or say wingman one shot.
Imagine winning a dub, get 11 kills, drop 1,800 damge, and only get 180rp in bronze. A camper who hides in every nook and cranny throughout the map and get 2 kills and 400 damge, gets a higher rank and more RP????!!! In insult to my existence.

i disagree with the shield priority. cells should always be first when youre in a fight. they are so much faster and could save you from being caught with your pants around your legs
That depends on the situation, always focus batteries unless in a 2v1 w them on ur ass
And what happens that you are not doing the majority of these mistakes (most of the times), BUT you suck at shooting???
Because this is my main issue, i have good map awareness, i have a great inventory management aka heal wheel etc, i am always using the free look feature when i am dropping, communication is not THAT GOOD i have to admit it. BUT in the end my shoots are 70% going to the wall or in the ground rather than my enemies, if i could fix that i believe that going to diamond would be a piece of cake...

The ranked changes were made so that Ranked doesn't feel like Pubs, by lowering the Points per kill early game and making it higher in lower placements makes being alive early game and then fighting in the mid game better rather than trying to find fights early game.
It makes Ranked feel much more like Ranked.
I know right , that's why I quit rank.
@@Eyukiz-san Imo it makes Ranked more fun and more worth to grind since the end game rings are tense and fun, it makes ranking easier too if you know what you're doing.

As a PC gamer, how much does console auto aim help? Like, at 5:08 it almost seems like wallhacks compared to PC. I know they got scanned from the passive, but still. And at 4:56 it looked like it really helped too. I know this guy has thousands of hours, but I don't want to die to things like this so I wanted to know if it is just his skill or the auto aim.
As a console player it can help in close range fights but at longer ranges it doesn't do jackshit since you don't have the time to aim and hit at somebody that is running because they can move faster then you can make sure you will hit them (that's my experience)
Depends on who you ask. If you ask a pc player. They'll say its broken and cheating. If you ask a controller player. They'll say its not broken and perfectly fine. The only true way to answer your question is to try controller for yourself.
Bro pc player can literally turn a full 180 and keep there speed with a whole desk to help them aim. Console player can use a thumb stick on a controller just bigger then your mouse. U guys have different keys for each weapon ability pick up weapon reload we use square or x for half of those and it’s not like we just let our controller aim we still have to direct our cross air and have good enough movement to not be hit by the emeney

Console player all my life and its doesnt help that much , I mean if you had like 2 2 sensitivity maybe yeah , but higher up it can kinda put off your aim against MnK super side strafers and make your aim sometimes more inconsistent I feel. Good controller players like Mangos just make it look easy when they're beaming .
