No problem FS, hope all is well at work. Yes, they finally opened some of the EL in time for the Jubilee. Take care and catch you soon.
A very unusual suburb of London, gives an English countryside vibe ,with charming independent homes, lovely greens, unique trees with distinct shapes and colorful foliage in spring bloom, quaint red post boxes......old world charm at it's best....the only constant.....? buzz of the flights reminds that it's a part of London and not countryside. Loved the walk! Thank you Mr. Walker for sharing it.
Many thanks AS, it's a really nice area to walk around, even with the constant plane noise 😀
@@WatchedWalker agreed with your view. It's indeed a lovely place to stroll around. 🙂. Moreover it's your photography art that makes it look beautiful.
The small close of cottages near the end (43:38) is where Peter Green of Fleetwood Mac used to live. I was born and grew up in Richmond (and still live just a few miles away) back in the 70’s as a teenager we used to cut down there to the supermarket and shops and when he sadly had his mental health issues he used to sit on the pavement outside his cottage sometimes he’d say nothing other times he’d chat was a really interesting guy, glad he got better in the end. Great video the town holds lots of my memories
What a gorgeous walk through my personal favourite area of Greater London.
Cheers
I've got refreshed by watching this peaceful video. I love such a beautiful village.❤😀👍👍

Videos like this make me want to move to London but maybe outside of London.
BSW, glad you managed to find them on repeat viewing 😀
loved the video
Nice walk
Nobody talk about air traffic No STOP?!
Wow. Beautiful place but I wouldn’t want to live there with the constant plane noise.
@susanropars8200 Yes, I know what you mean.
I once lived in the Borough of Richmond,
constant Aircraft noise, even from 5 am.
Unfortunately Richmond, is directly under the Heathrow Airport, Flight-Path ( just saying )
Just also to comment that I noticed on your WW FB page, someone else commented that the posh houses at the beginning of your video reminded him very much of the expensive houses in the area of Seattle USA called Queen Anne. Almost identical comments to what I wrote during the Live Chat! I replied back to the gent that made that comment in FB and he also thought it was quite a co-incidence that we both commented the same way. It just goes to show how similar the two neighbourhoods are! If you Google "Highland Drive houses Seattle" you will see what I mean. Incidentally, there are great views of the Seattle Space Needle from Kerry Park (Google that too) which is also on Highland Drive. They often hold weddings there and it's on the Seattle tour bus route.. Hope all this trivia is not too much of a diversion from your excellent video btw. I just get very excited when I see some kind of reminder of the Pacific Northwest in your London videos. For me, it's the best of both worlds!
Thanks Ibrahim, I just googled those houses in Seattle, they look very impressive, and I'm sure impressive prices to match 😀 Take care.
@@WatchedWalker Hello WW. Yes, the Queen Anne district of Seattle is very well known to be quite exclusive, especially also with such iconic views of the Seattle skyline and the Space Needle. I think also the TV series Frasier had something to do with the desireability of that location, as his apartment in the series had a view of the Space Needle and was supposed to be in the same Seattle district. Although in reality, it was a mock up and no actual Seattle apartment actually has quite that view of the Space Needle, though those Queen Anne houses come close.
(Sidenote: You did say I am like a walking encyclopedia!)
👍
Anna Chancellor is from Richmond!...😊
Anna Chancellor sat behind me on the bus somewhere Acton-y chatting with a friend a couple of years ago. Felt straight out of Pride and Prejudice or Four Weddings!

First part was Sheen
is there anywhere in London with houses the size you'd find in Beverly Hills ?
