If you are someone who realized a trauma, or multiple traumas from your childhood may have influenced a life of addiction, what led you to that realization?
Thanks for taking the time to watch, and comment. I am grateful you are here, and look forward to hearing your thoughts and questions. Again, many thanks.
7:58 That story made me really curious about what my cousins and extended family really think/thought about me. I’ve always felt like i was treated like I was. There were multiple othering things about me though as well. I lived far away from the rest of the family. I was an only child, all the other families were 3 or more kids. I was the youngest by so much that i was the ages of my cousins children. Then i was adopted. I couldn’t have felt more othered. Adoption was the least of it.
I have other stories of adoptees adopted at older ages. I’m not sure how old you were when you were adopted. But I understand with in bio families their is trauma, and adoption or being removed from the home is another adverse childhood event.

❤️ thank you for sharing this. 40 year old adoptee who just crashed into the iceberg of my trauma. So much of this resonates with me.
Thank you for watching and for sharing a bit of your own story.
