Oher talks about his conservatorship in his FIRST book. He said he understood what was happening and that it was LIKE an adoption. He also admits he had a below one GPA until he got tutoring (paid for by the family.) They gave him a home, got him into private school and WROTE colleges about him. This is all in his own book. So he's got to pick a story.
In his book he states that the conservatorship legally makes him part of thr Tuohy family. That fits his story that he didn't know that the conservatorship granted no parental or familial rights.
So the key point here is did he believe he was adopted, like he is legally a member of the family. If he actually felt and believed he was a member all those years and then realised that is not the case, it could impact him emotionally. Or he actually has no claim to the Tuohy estate could be a big blow too.
Michael Oher is beginning to look like the "bad" guy here. He is trying to ruin a family's reputation (his 2nd family). They treated him so well and helped him succeed and now he is turning on those who helped him. Why?
I Think - Based On What Michael Oher Has Stated - That Michael Is More Upset About The Tuohys Not Making It Clear To Him Why The Actual ADOPTION Never Happened, And About The Widely Inaccurate & Unflattering Characterizations Of Him In The Movie...He Apparently Was Not Involved With Any Of It...
@@jonnyw82exactly...Oher needs money and he feels this is the only way he can get back up. Those are good people that helped him out of the kindness of their heart and this is how he repays them smh it's true no good deed goes unpunished
Plenty of people use words they don't quite k oe thr meaning of. If Oher's 2011 book he states that the conservatorship legally made him part of the Tuohy family. That sounds exactly like someone who doesn't know what a conservatorship is. The real question is why did the Tuohys lie about not being able to adopt him due to his age. Adult adoption was and still is legal in TN.

Everything, and I mean everything that Oher accuses the Tougy family of is contradictory to everything he had someone write in his first book. Michael alleges that the Tuohy family SIGNED UP THEIR CHILDREN for ROYALTIES but did not sign Michael up. If Michael Oher was in college when the book and movie rights were signed, he would have violated NCAA rules by profiting off his own name, image, or likeness. Why would the Tuohys even do that knowing he couldn't profit off his own name. They sure did though.
