You’re so incredibly artistically inclined and your knack for creative detail is so keen. I wish I could create with as much style and patience as you do!!
Clicked so fast. I know you've shared that you're in a rut lately, but seriously your content is amazing and so different from anything else. Keep going!
Nope, cause curling irons are good for making curls. It's what they do. I realize some people have straight or thin hair that won't maintain a curl, but I have hair similar to hers that can hold a heat-styled spiral curl for days (unless it's very humid, in which case it turns into a frizzy nest).
saw a vintage girl on college yesterday and I thought "hope she watches Rachel channel, cause she would love it" *edit: oh how I LOVE the background music
You always look beautiful, but you look especially gorgeous when assembling the ship hair! Your make up, skin, hair, the dress, the lighting, it just looks perfect!
Why can't I like a video more than once?!😭 I hit the button as soon as the it starts and then have an urge to like it several times more throughout the video and just see that I already did. Evie is beautiful and you look gorgeous!
HOLY MOLY GIRL. I CAN'T EVEN. You.are.amazing. This is the most adventurous and daring UA-cam video I've ever seen, and I'm here for it. Marie Antoinette would be so proud. Please don't ever stop making content.
You have no idea how many boxes this video checks for me! Elaborate, hand-made props, baroque style, weird stuff styled into hair, ships in hair, costumes, makeup, hair styling, historical influences... yep, this does it for me!! I’ve actually been wanting to make a ship for my hair for a photo for a long time and this gave me so many ideas and inspiration! It looks AMAZING as do you! Thank you for sharing your process with us!! I LOVE IT!!! 💖😍💖😍💖
This was so much fun to watch!!!!! You have so much patience to create such intricate pieces and hand paint them!!! I love Marie Antoinette fashion, Rococo era, 20s flapper, Edwardian, Georgian, and of course Regency aka Jane Austen style. I also really like medieval renaissance type clothes as well with flowing bell cascading sleeves ala Arwen style. I wonder if you had any intrest doing like an accessories through the eras that women would have worn or carried. Like, cameos, lockets, ribbons, jewelry and other accessories. That could be fun to see.
You're always like "hopefully this works" in a lowkey derogatory way, like you're apologizing for never planning things ahead of time BUT- the fact that you can look at something like a dress, or a model ship, or a hairstyle, and just come up with a basic way to recreate it your way with the materials you have, and then proceed to improvise as need be as you go along, is super impressive all by itself. That mental process is a skill that takes time to develop and not everyone has. I know several people who just break down into tears if there's not step by step intructions, or if they struggle with one of those steps as they go along. You have mental ingenuity and a can do attitude that you should be really proud of! You make super cool things just because you want to! That is such an impressive thing to be able to do! What I'm saying is, there is value in never having a fully organized plan too. :)
I literally put a hand over my heart when I saw you named the ship "Evie". That's just such a cute and personal touch and I could absolutely see you as the Captain of the Evie in some alternate pirate universe! :D I guess that's how you can think of youtube, you're the captain of this channel and we're your crew. Squeeeee!!! I am so absolutely in love with everything about this look. I also love how you've been incorporating more turn of the century aesthetics into your vintage style, too. I hope that you do more craft videos in the future as they are definitely some of my fave content of yours (oh who am I kidding?? I love it all!). Great job, Miss Crafty Pants!

Some guy: I built a boat in a bottle from a kit!
Rachel: I built an undead pirate boat from scratch and put ut on my HEAD.
If you're looking for a name for the ship, I'd go with "The Headless Queen" -- it's both macabre and historically accurate!
Cut the skull off the skeleton for that finishing touch
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Probably Marks Antoinnette. She lost her head too. Big later, but just as effective to get rid of ,sadly, unwanted Queens😁
