One of our biggest per peeves were the cable box rental fees that eventually drove us to cut the cord a few years back... 30% of the total bill amounted to taxes/rental fees.
Now with streaming just buy a $25-$40 Roku either per tv or just switch between TV's and you're golden. To me besides the extra box fees. Was the extra $30-$70 in electric a month the DVRs used.
Truly a Great and Fantastic Video !!!! And quite a bit I did learn myself on my own !!! But You do cover Everything !!! With Spectrum losing a huge amount of Customers it's making alot of News lately !!!
How about if you don't have an option to put an antenna in a window? Without getting into layouts and such, my TV is set up across a small living room from a large window. Can I buy an antenna that stays near the TV and works?
@stevena2230 No, it doesn't need to be included because I had the internet anyway. Cable cost me $165. Internet was another $80. Now, Hulu + LiveTV costs me $75. Internet is another $80. I save $90/mo. Basic math. If I had to pay more for internet, I would include the extra cost. When I say that cable TV cost me $165/mo, I mean that cable TV alone cost me $165/mo.
@@stevena2230 Great point! I think a lot of people will be paying for internet already, but you do need enough speed to support whatever resolution you need. In my area, Xfinity is 100mbps for about $35/month.
@@expeditionmoneysnacks I get 300 Mbps with no data cap through Sparklight for $80/mo. We both work remotely, and I have an Xbox Series X, so we need a good connection. We were paying that anyway.
I totally cut the cord before I moved out to Eastern Europe. No diff out here ... we pay only for internet ...... Kodi and apps do the rest. Stops you channel surfing. Now we pay roughly $11/month .... savings spent on vodka and wine.
In what world are you living in? Premium streaming has never been $50. In fact a lot of them are hundred dollars. UA-cam TV is $72.99. If you're going to make videos get them right.

Thank you for covering this and I appreciate your time and effort putting this vid together.

Only thing you didn’t say is that how many TVs can you do it one time?
Very well done!
We are cutting the cord because a year ago we updated to fiber optics and now we get very little tv service.
The firestick is an very good choice.
I canceled cable TV which was costing me $165/mo, and switched to Hulu+LiveTV for $75/mo. That saves me $90/mo.
How much are you paying for internet? That needs to be included in your cost, so you are saving less than $90 per month.

Excellent tutorial.
Does anyone know if there are ways to pay for premium services without using a credit card, can I use a visa gift card instead?
Nice video but your pricing is way off! Those prices are from 2018 I believe. 😂
@@expeditionmoney Not to mention PlayStation Vue has been dead for years!
After I signed up for live UA-cam tv for $52 a month for first 4 months they cut me off then charging me $72.99 per month that’s not good at all
Streaming good

UA-camtv is excellent.
There are alternatives like regular streaming services or stuff like Philo if you're not interested for sports
@@pongchannel. My post was 11 months ago. Hello?
I dont worry about any of this. I have iptv.
I gave up cable 7 years ago
At first it was hard to get used to it, now I am think of getting sling
@@Brenda-Burdif you do get sling you can combine it with an airtv and get local channels over an attena. (If not Tablo also does that)
Dude....PlayStation Vue shit down 4 years ago this month.
