One of the nicer ones i have seen just a simple boat. I really like the way you did the hole thing. The floor everything is looks super clean. I was thinking about doing one myself. Really enjoyed this thank you.
Thank you very much for all 4 clips from Thailand.
Brings me back to building Cope boats on Vancouver Island, nothing like the noise of cutting 5 or 6 stacked 20' sheets of aluminum with a circular saw and an agressive blade. Great looking boat by the way.
Thanks! I’m building a cope winter harbour 23 right now! Also finally just got custom ear plugs which are totally amazing for that kind of thing.
@@EM-hu2bj I worked for Bruce Cope when Cope Boats was just 14.6' and 16'6 centre console boats. I remember building the first windscreen boat, great times. Cheers.
Amazing work !
Thanks!
amazing work, especially in aluminum!!
Thanks!
Nicely done.
Thanks!
Beautiful boat! I want one.
Thanks Kama :)
Nice job amigos
Perfect speedboat design suitable for Yamaha 15 hp or similar engine ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Very nice doat
Nice boat
Love your videos! Are you spool gun welding everything? I’m looking to weld myself a drift boat here in Michigan as a way to practice welding more (just started a few months ago)…good idea as a way to improve my skill?
Good job
Very beautiful boats, my father used to build boats but of course I was too busy with more important things, girls ,to pay any attention to him,, after two divorces I would have probably been better off with a beautiful boat keep up the great work and thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Good job men
Wonderful
NICE JOB
Thanks!
Espectacular
thats a really nice build , are there plans ad roughly what did it cost
thanks
t
у вас очень интересные проэкты.
Nice
Bravo
love the boat how did u make the ribs
Nice build! Are these made for sale? Do you have to get them tested by coast guard for weight limits and ho rating etc!?

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Great video, what a beautiful boat you guys built, I got satisfaction just watching. l can only imagine the satisfaction you guys got by building the boat.
Gostei muito do barco de alumínio, quanto custa um desses.Um abraço.
Gostei de ver a fabricação a sua fabrica fica onde e quanto custa um barquinho de uns tres metros de aluminio ?
hello friends, greetings to meet me from Indonesia.
want to ask at the same time advice if possible???.
why did you stop uploading videos again even though your videos are good and very good. my only suggestion is if you upload a video about making a ladi boat if possible up close and with parts, so we who are watching can learn from you and the video is closer, don't go far. thank you. sorry if i'm being presumptuous
Hey man! Awesome build! Any updates on drawings for this? Would be really interested
Looking for the same type of boat plans maybe 10-11ft maybe not as wide. Do you guys sell plans and lofting plans.
Would plans for the 14ft be available?
Hey awesome build, what type of welder are you using for the aluminum? Thanks
Kemppis are the best especially for marine purposes 5083.. standard5356
I don’t want to build one but I am interested in buying if sea worthy for fining off coast ?
Ed what’s the weight of this boat not including the motor/tank?
Every part of you is seen to be doing this with great experience. What thickness of aluminum sheet do you use. Can you share a project for me to try to do in my workshop. I am writing to you from Montenegro.
Hi Dejan,
This boat is made of 1/8” (3.25mm) 5052 plate, except the transom which is 1/4” (6.5mm). I am working on plans for this boat, and will have them available on my website when they are done. There are more details on the materials I used in the video description.
@@EM-hu2bj how much pounds does this boat weight without an engine?
@@dejanradoman906 I believe it is just under 600 lbs / 270kg
can you tell me the width of the bottom and the height of the side walls ..
Hi E M.
I'm from Czech Republic.
Good job. I also plan to create one for myself, looking for plans and watching your videos. Yours is great. If possible, I can send you an email for plans or at least a rough sketch. Thank you and greetings Jaroslav
MANTAP 👍
perfect job my friend, water doesnt come inside the boat from welding places? it could be wery thin holes l think.
Thanks!
It’s very important to have high quality welds. They are also pressure tested for leaks.
@@EM-hu2bj thanks so much for answer, good luck.
Good Job! Are you guys selling this type of boat?
Ahhhh yes, I would love this for the rivers. What gauge do you use? Thank you
It’s 1/8”, with 1/4 on the transom. For a 60hp Yamaha jet I would do 3/16” for the hull bottom.
Cheers!
@@EM-hu2bj thank you guys, what’s the best way to go about getting those meterials? Probably around $1000-2000 in material ?
There is a list of materials and alloys in the video description if you are interested. I get my materials from a Canadian metal distributor where I have a commercial account. There are also several local outlets in my area that sell to the general public for reasonable prices. Prices vary depending on your supplier, and current market pricing, but this build was just under 2k for the aluminum.

Do you have plans available?
awesome good job! i would like to build one ;) do you have plans available?
It was fun to build :) I’m working on getting plans done, but I think it will still be a while before they are ready for this boat.
@@EM-hu2bj Hey man, just wondering if you have layout available for this build? Good work, love it!
Would be very interested in a set of plans for this
We're working on a set of plans for it!
Any closer to plans yet? Been watching your website
looks good. but i like to paint it with a nice paint job
Marine grade paint
Is this your own design?
It is
You taking apprentices who already completed foundations? exactly the type of welding work I wanna do!
Hey!
Not at the moment, but if you’re ever on Cortes Island you should come by the shop :)
@@EM-hu2bj For sure! Might have to borrow my old folks 27 foot sailboat for a week on the water trip and come over there. I have a friend on Quadra I was going to visit once some of this pandemic starts to cool off. My home shop is slowly growing and I am making small aluminum frames for things to start, and if a real job/money comes along might be able to make a small bass/lake boat for a project. Just hard to get into a aluminum shop as a newbie to the trade when your pushing 40. But boat building is the reason I got into welding and outa IT/data analyst desk work. Decided to follow my heart.
@@MrProxtor I was doing web development before I decided I didn’t want to spend my life in a chair. I started small too, working out of an open car port for years.
@@EM-hu2bj That is awesome. Thanks for that comment, Makes me feel better with taking up this new trade and that I am not the only one. Everyone in my class were all young teenagers, 2 were even still in highschool. I only have a my Lincoln MP210 currently but I do have the spoolgun for aluminum. Steel im set, got my Rod oven, and a few spools for GMAW,FCAW, and a couple of CK TIG torches. Just gotta get a machine for AC TIG. Was thinking of the Squarewave 200. Curious as its hard to tell in time-lapse, Are you using pulse on the spool gun?
@@MrProxtor yep, single pulse for most of it, and pulse-on-pulse for the areas where I really wanted to keep the heat down. I started off with a millermatic 211, so pretty similar. I’ve got the squarewave 200 as you probably noticed, and it’s a good machine, although I could use more power. One day I’ll upgrade to a Dynasty 280 😁
Nice! what is your bottom angle?
Thanks! Deadrise at the stern is 10 degrees
@@EM-hu2bj okay, sounds good
Congratulations nice tinnie.
I think in a previous video you said (11ft) you would have plans to share. Is this still the case? Each one of your designs would be worth doing as a diy project 👍
@@mczookoz364 Thanks! I have someone helping me with plans for this one, and once they are done I plan to do the other two as well.
Then how much is it?
Very nice what’s the price
If you would like to email me at efm@elegantfabricating.com, we could discuss a quote.
здравствуйте! какой получился вес лодки?
hello, what is the weight of the boat‽
I think it is just under 600 lbs
спасибо

What material is that sir?
It's aluminium easy to roll into shape
@@joeaerenga170 Thanks very much. How many millimeters thickness is suitable for aluminum material?
@@quanlam6295 6mmm for hull bottom and 3mmm for side is what he said and for that length in foot definitely.
@@joeaerenga170 Thank you very much ☺️
2 or 3 mm aluminium?
3.175mm - 1/8 inch.
Steel ki jo vote Banti hai kitne rupaye ki hai
would you be intrested in building a 18ft model?
That’s actually my next project! I have materials in the shop for an 18’ centre console, probably with a T top, powered by a Suzuki DF90. Hull will be similar to my 16’, but higher sides among other things.
@@EM-hu2bj Nice! looking forward to seeing it built. I'm looking to build a boat this winter with a 2.3 EcoBoost. Excited!
Good bro r u sales boat please reply
