Meanwhile, Brie Larson during new Star Wars movie casting: "OK, hi guys, so where is my Ashoka text to read"? - casting crew: "Uhh... sorry, lady, there's no text for you, you are just one of the stunts in the crowd".
He really lucked out getting a lead role in a series where he doesn't show his face much. This means it wont be hard to cast him in movies unrelated to Star Wars and his future looks very bright.
I'd argue that time is past, he's been in many a great role not being a spring chicken and typecast at a young age. He is 44 after all and has already been imprinted upon us before star wars.
even with this he can still act well. like karl urban in DREDD - 2012 only had his mouth visible and he still acted very well and was fucking awesome (Cant wait for a sequal or the boys season 2)
Choosing the right or wrong actors for a role may completely change a show. The casting of The Mandalorian is absolutely fantastic. Pedro, Gina Carano, Carl Weathers... all of them 10/10.
Never realized what an awesome voice Pedro had until Mandalorian. I always loved him in Game of Thrones but never saw him as a voice type of actor until now. Also, I'm impressed by his use of body language. A lotta actors forget to use their body to convey emotion and simply depend on line delivery. But Pedro fucking nails it! He expresses so much through his body language. It really shows how strong of an actor Pedro is. I'm glad The Mandalorian is giving everyone a chance to see his acting range. I hope to see him in MORE projects in the future. :)
This guy is really talented and you can see it in Mandalorian. The way he is able to convey emotion with just the use of voice and body language behind a costume that hides him the way it does is remarkable.
It's the tone and quality of his speaking voice that got him the job of the Mandalorian. Something draws you to that voice. The voice is manly but there is a softness, sensitivity and gentleness to it that is relatable and endearingly. I don't think the Mandalorian would work without the mask. Pedro Pascal is best heard than seen.
This guy was so badass in Game of Thrones too bad his character was underused though. I am looking forward to the Mandalorian with the plethora of a cast.
@@rach6534 It's a bit more complicated than that. You can just blanket everyone in South america as "latino" just like you can't blanket everyone in china as Chinese.

"Pedro Pascal Died Inside of Joy" He's done enough dying. Like he needs tone down the whole 'dying as pretty much every character he's ever played' thing because it's making me nervous for Mando's fate lmao
One of the best casting calls in this franchise. Right up there with casting Jame Earl Jones as the voice of Vader. Dinn is my favorite character in all of Star Wars.
This is exactly what it takes.... Actors, Producers, and Directors with a passion to keep the Star Wars legacy real by starting out as childhood super fans! Keeping it Real in Da-Field … This is the way.
I actually watched the show not really knowing what the actor looked like. He had one of the best “face reveals” ever cause of the cool build up. He did awesome.
After a minute of discussing the role with John Favreau, I would have said "One minute, Mr. Favreau," planted my head in the nearest couch, and screamed at the top of my lungs for 5 minutes minimum.
Greetings from South Carolina. Pedro is damn good in every role he's played. It's pretty cool he was a franchise fan as a kid. He and Favreau just might save Star Wars yet.
This guy can act! The show has started so great, and hope the next season's will be as good as the first. I wish them all well, I love this Star Wars show and to me it has all the feel of A old Star Wars with A all new story and it's exciting so far. Crew and actors keep up the good work and please Disney keep investing into this story, it's fantastic. This is the way Disney, and I have spoken!
Loved him as Oberyn, love him even more as the Mandalorian! Pedro just seems like such a cool dude :) And I gotta say between him and Robotman in Doom Patrol, it is so cool to see actors play out roles wich hinge on body language instead of regular acting. Must be a tough challenge, but they and their stand ins/co actors do such an amazing job of bringing those characters to life :)
Pascal was stereotyped by Hollywood in bad guy roles and now in Star Wars he is seen as heroic. Good job. Kinda like Ty Burell's career before Modern Family.
The shirt?! No one is going to comment on his shirt. Mando is so cool. And this guy sometimes without saying a word wearing a mask full costume can say everything! The Mandalorian is just too much for my brain. I can't handle it. :D
If I could ever speak to this man face to face I would thank him for playing the roll that gives me hope in the franchise I love most in this world Edit: I also think he is very humble about it

At least we now know why Mandalorian wears a helmet. He learned from his past mistake from GoT.
Indeed
Not just any helmet. Beskar!
That would be funny if he had to fight against Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson in the next season! :D
He also had his eyes gouged in another movie with Denzel Washington

He already has an Oscar - Oscar Isaac 😉
I'm watching this after the season 2 finale, and I'm so happy for this guy's success. He seems like such a genuinely down to Earth dude.

I think you couldnt be more right.
In the Mandalorian they needed a voice, not a pretty face
