I want to see if it will grow to have autosampling via midi connection. I wish and patiently wait.

Think this is gonna be my next purchase I just got a circuit rhythm it's dope but limited I'm thinking of getting the MPC one but the work flow things putting me of
I know we all agree that the "demo" track that was part of the "go fund me" bit, was pretty lame...but why am I still tearing up on that song?! Is it that I really want my SmplTrek or has that lame song actually moved me? I want to listen to that artist's stuff.
LMAO! I totally agree. These SmplTrek ads are going to turn that song into a smash hit. I'm hearing it in my dreams from watching these videos over and over. Repetition is the oldest trick in the book for the music industry. It will have you toe tapping and humming songs you absolutely despise. I want to bump that song in my car (well maybe not). It's definitely a guilty pleasure though at this point.

Yeah I was so close to pulling the trigger on an SP404 when I came across this unit and was like this looks more of what I'm looking for. I've always been the type (for better or worse) to pick alternative tools than fanboys. So far I'm happy w my decision without touching either unit.
Same here, I held back and watched a ton of SP videos and my takeaway from the SP was “good machine, but way too many button presses to get the basics done” from what I’ve seen on the Smpltrek its a much more straightforward workflow!
@@trevormalcolm4328 people are saying the workflow on the SP404 is much improved since the 2.0 update. They had gripes about it beforehand. I don't need anything that's over complicated since I'm just getting back into music production.
Also the form factor and price were a big consideration. I couldn't see myself whipping out and SP on a plane or coffee shop. But the SmplTrek looks portable enough to not make a total spectacle if you were to use it on the go.
@@StrillLife hear what your saying! But my (personal) issue with the SP is with all its effects, (and its got a ton!) there’s NO side chain compression! For me, a BIG no no! Even on a sampler of this size!
@@trevormalcolm4328 I'm sure an update can add that but yeah you'd think that would be something they'd add out the box on a device at the price point. They put it on the $200 T8 beat machine that I recently bought to tinker around with because I was going crazy waiting on my SmplTrek.
It's a great learning device. Sounds great although very limited with sounds but very fun nonetheless. Got the J6 too which in total cost more than the SmplTrek. Lol. I could have gotten a SP404 after spending all that but I'll have a small 3 piece setup to play around with.
I can see my GAS growing if I have any modicum of success or enjoyment out of my purchases. If not all this stuff will look cool on my bookshelf. Lol

How did you set the sample end point so it would loop seamlessly? Was that the "length" number of 93? And if yes, how did you know it get to 93? Thanks
It set 96. 16th note x 96 = 6 bars
On the SmplTrek, you *have to* set the track length to match the number of bars in the scene.... i have been experimenting and nothing automatically adjusts ITself, everything has to be done manually.... Get out the calculators and get ready to memorize! 🤷♂️🌌

Hmm? On the INPUT SETTING page, it displays "C. PAD OFF". I have my guesses, but I'm curious what this denotes?
The C is switch of the Line gain PAD (-20dB).
