Yes! Please get every system for every type of photo/video scenario! Pentax-K-3-Mark-lll for landscape. Ricoh GRlllx for street photography, NIkon Z9 for an all purpose camera, Canon EOS R7 for at home vlogs......etc. The more the better!

Will 2023 be the year Kasey dips toes in Nikon system? Nikon engineers have yet to be enlightened on what they are doing wrong.
He just needs to get his hands on some of the equipment. No company will send him the equipment like every other UA-cam because he is actually honest about how it works.
Watching Omar Gonzales it becomes clear Nikon has great color science, and focus is good too. The low-end full frame bodies are not crippled but just very good.
Basically can't go wrong with Nikon.

Though it does baffle me how they managed to make the HD 240p worse given the stacked sensor and higher bitrates.
Thats simple really, processor inside the camera is not fast enough despite the faster sensor and higher bitrate, the sensor cannot read the entire sensor so the 240p is line skipped and by the looks of it, very badly line skipping.

Wow, Toronto has a ton of trees in the expensive downtown area. Love the alley's dumpsters though during the discussion of cinematic cameras. Pure gold, Kasey!
Make sure you complain about the non push in control dials like Ken Wheeler. And the lack of dials on top like all the Fuji fanbois that don't realize the H in X-H2s is for Hybrid and the T in XT is the Traditional cameras. The X-H2s is a beast. Stills and video. Fanbois can go play with their mom's dials.
Well, X-H1 had dials :). Plus, they could have simply put both on the camera, if you want to pasm or whatever you can do it with Fuji, it's just not one click. If only the moved the custom dial to the second left instead of the current photo/video switch it would have been perfect, everyone would have been happy. Going like that you could have put a photo/video switch in some place and you could allow yourself to customize modes depending on where you are switched. Last thing, I wish they put the focus mode lever on the front like the GFX cameras. That's all
Edit: the push in dials are handy, but not a del breaker for me, I just don't see how they couldn't do it this time cos of waterproofing, but I didn't engeneer the camera so... I don't know.
@@tankivulture148 the XH1 was doomed from the start. Not even close to competing at that initial price range. How much are they now? Half the day one cost? No other camera has dropped that far in worth. And some of it was because Fuji bypassed what they needed to do in order to make a bunch of kids happy. Notice the XH2s is out of stock everywhere. Notice also there aren’t any used ones on eBay being sold by disgruntled fanbois because they hate the camera so much. No, they are loving it too, or they can’t get one or afford one. Fuji did what they needed to do to compete. Nobody was shooting XT cameras at pro games or the Olympics. They needed an actual pro body that had pro controls. Not a bunch of redundant dials so they could seem cool to their friends. It’s a fad that has unfortunately lasted way too long and kept Fuji from being real contenders in the pro world.
@@JET-Photo For the pro photos and stuff, well, I think it was never their goal, besides, the market is already saturated by the competitors, plus until this body, no other camera was as good as the others for this type of photography. They wanted to give us a pro camera and by doing that they made it similar to the GFX line of pro cameras. They could have put dials and none would have complained, even at pro level, you might like it or not, but you would have been still able to use wheels like in every other "pro" camera. At the end of the day I would and probably will sell my X-T4 for and X-H2s, but still, a bummer because I really like the design and people when I was around asked me if my camera was analogical or digital. A bigger problem to me is that I have to compromise the "fun of doing stuff" with my camera bacause the stacked sensor will only be put in the H series.

Canon C100 MK2 with canon 17-55 2.8 is a great combo. Lens is APSC.
Man today was the first time I used Nikon z9 12 bit N-RAW 4k 120p. It’s pretty damn unreal. All 4 minutes and 42 seconds I can stuff on my 128 GB CF Express card. Lmfao. For real though I been shooting in the 10 bit 4k 120 and the 12 bit is uncanny.

I always liked Canon because I started as an astrophotographer and Canon made the first affordable digital camera that was just as good as film for astrophotography, the 300D. I bought the 350D, and it was great for astro, but ordinary photos were just ok, greens were too vivid, and reds were orange.
I went MSC when the Olympus EP1 came out, and it was a great system, even had IBIS, better colour than Canon. I was glad when Canon went MSC and brought out the EOS M and I bought one. It was amazing with the 22mm pancake, super pocketable, but it was a bit contrasty and noisier than I hoped.
After a few other cams, I now have the EOS R as my main camera and it is great, the video is very decent with the high bitrates and with 10bit if u get the ninja V, its very nice video and photos.
But recently I started using magic lantern on my old eos-m and it produces glorious raw video. That contrasty look works really well in the video, just looks so much like film to me. My next camera must have raw video, there's no going back when you see raw cinema dng video lol

A little bit of toneh is required, DJI has zero toneh and anybody would get distracted multiple times because of the extremely sharp background.

@@david.stachon oh, ok. No bother fot me. I’ve edited the 8k and 4K fine files in FCPX with a 24” iMac. I’m yet to need to record more than 30 minutes but I could see how that would bother some.

If you need autofocus, built in stabilization or good battery life without adding on a huge, external battery, then not so much. But otherwise it's one of my favorite video cameras. Super simple and straightforward menu and settings, excellent quality, very flexible options for audio input, recording media, etc. No flippy screen, but the bright, 1080p display makes the display on most other cameras cry in shame. There is a tiny bit of fan noise if you use the built-in mics, but the trade-off is that I've recorded for like 6 hours straight without issue (with an external, V-Mount battery).
Also, internal RAW recording. Compressed RAW options that can even record on an SD card!

7:23 The R3 is full frame, has stabilization, excellent auto focus, good colors, easy menu, fully articulating screen, insane battery life, 4k up to 120p, 6k up to 60p, full HD up to 240p, solid body, don't need to built it up, takes pictures up to 30fps.

Please do yourself a tremendous favor and look past the C 100. I recently bought one and immediately put on the sigma 18 to 35F 1.8 and thought that my world would be magically transformed by the “cinema greatness.“ Unfortunately, it pales in comparison in every regard to the EOS R. I really wanted to love to C 100 because so much of it is truly amazing like the dual card slots, massive battery, and built-in neutral density filters. The pathetic dual pixel auto focus that is only active in the very center of the sensor literally kill the camera. I totally get wanting to the canon colors, after also trying a Sony A7IV, With stupid crazy good auto focus and amazing resolution but Sony colors makes humans look grotesque and largely unattractive. I returned the A74 and reluctantly purchased the canon 50 mm LS 1.2 and was blown away by the magic of the image quality, character, and sharpness. For now I will be content with my EOS R as it has never locked up, overheated, glitched, or flaked out in any way whatsoever.
My Canon R also is a rock solid performer. I know people want the latest and greatest but the R is still a good deal and a great entry into the RF system. The RF 50 1.2 really gets a lot of great reviews. For now my RF 50 1.8 will have to do, but maybe someday…

my emount Zeiss 12mm/2.8 on my a6500 and a6600 makes terrible focus motor noise... great for photos, but no way for video, hopefully not on your xmount version.
The C70 has the most dynamic range of any camera not made by Arri last time I checked

So, you think ibis performs better using a battery grip and boost mode? And I don't recommend the Zeis Touit. Issues. Not the lens people want it to be. You want more wide angle, move to an offshore barge.

You gotta be kidding. Tiny iPhone grade sensor: 5.53x crop. That's where it gets its apparent magnification. Aggressive post sharpening - it pretty much has to for anything to resemble 'usable'. I would not recommend it for wildlife where feather/fur detail matters. Poor in dim light and above ISO 400. Focusing issues. It's OK for travel & snapshot. Nothing serious. Even then it's bulky. At the same time it's plasticky, light weight, and unstable. Not weatherproofed. Has a definite legitimate audience but does not compete with DSLRs.

@@Circusofvalue Ah! As a test you mean. It certainly ticks off all the marketing boxes with impressive numbers. I think you understand! I could crop an image out of my DSLR by 10x (one-tenth linear) and also claim I get 10x magnification right there when I blow it up back to a size that matches others. That's exactly what's going on here. Minuscule sensor size - even smaller than Micro Loser 4/3rds as Kasey calls it. You just can't fake resolution, sensitivity, dynamic range, depth-of-field. Physics. Optics. Diffraction-limitation.
I agree, he needs to get back to his roots. This obsession with colours, dynamic range and “Toneh” is a waste of time. Most subscribers would be happy to watch him in 480p black and white on a GoPro hero 4
@@Greggie_D I think you missed the point a bit in this conversation. But yes, he has certainly changed from pure vlogger, and dissing photographers in a humorous way, to being a full-on nature photographer - albeit with videos. Now using multi thousand $$ cameras & lenses.

So Kasey beats down Panasonic for lack of good autofocus but is willing to deal with the Pocket 4K that uses M43 lenses or EF with booster (that 18-35 becomes legendary) without any autofocus. Admittedly, the Pocket 4K does have better color science than the GH5/G9...but not the GH6. I vote for the Canon R.
