This is the reason if I make a draw go deck the commander has to have card advantage. It hurts so bad to see everyone else make a value engine and need to bluff your way through a land pocket.
@@ChrisenMedia that’s fine then Ben plays another creature, if it resolves he has another creature to sac, otherwise he can have the alta to activate in response
@@jimlonald4917 That's fine then Ashlizzlle use an instant to kill Atla when he attempts to cast another creature. If he attempts to activate atla, then use Priest in response. I dont see your point with this hypothethical argument of what could have happened.
It's somehow refreshing and a bit frightening to watch a player aggressively playing to win in Commander... and so very painful to have two Blue players on board.
Bluff games are the best, or just playing the fun spectator. I've had game hands that can sculpt the game. I Love to play fun and not always care if I win. Just have fun with friends and decide for yourself.
While I realize CGB was card dead the whole game, it was kind of disappointing to watch CGB waste Dovin's Veto on interaction not directed towards him. No deal needed to be made that early.
When ashlizzle activated priest of forgotten gods in response to atla palani nest tender activated ability. Im pretty sure that using the activated ability puts the specific ability on the stack. It doesnt require the creature that activated to still be in play. However in order to get the benefit of the polymorph effect atla needs to be in play.
Gisa is a really hard deck to make work. A 5 mana commander that summons tapped tokens means it can be turn 6 before you have any blockers. Really need to Luck into Jhadar, Ghoulcaller of Nephalia to survive the early game.
the real crimes are the missed counter on palantir and the phyrexian altar staying on CGB's board :P, just kidding of course, fun episode edit: ah, he finds the altar
@@missingknight7955 can you cite a source for that? Everything I've read about it indicates that because it was Blake's effect that changed control, once he was gone that effect would end.
Not really. It’s more that the rule I think your thinking of doesn’t actually apply here. The effect giving control of chromium is not a continuous effect. It changes control and then is done. If the control change was being maintained by something Blake had in play then yes when he died control would revert. If chromium had made it to Blake before he died however it would have gone back to CGB when Blake died.
Think of it this way. If Inniaz had left the field but Blake were still alive would Chromium have gone back to CGB? If not then there’s no reason for it to when Blake dies.
@@missingknight7955 Inniaz being in play or not is not the core question. If I play a sorcery that gives your creature to another player, obviously the effect persists beyond the card being on the stack. The change of control effect is owned by the player, not the spell (or permanent). If I then die, it was MY effect causing the change of control then when I leave the game the effect ends. Basically it was Blake's effect causing the change of control, NOT his creature, so his creature being in play has no bearing on the question. The issue at hand is whether Blake's effect causing the change of control ends when Blake leaves the game. I am not an expert on layers, but I do know that effects like this do not 'just happen then it's done' as you say, there is always a continuous effect happening. Example: if Blake had played Gilded Drake and swapped control of Chromium to himself. Would the Chromium go back if Gilded Drake dies? No, same as with Inniaz. If Blake dies, does Chromium go back to CGB or does it go to the graveyard? I believe it goes back to CGB, which would be the same principle as Inniaz yes?

You went 3-0 I'd say that's a good showing lol
3-0 lets go! love your deck bulding on standard! glad to see you on the commander table! more of these please!
coming to america is a gift unto itself, you must really care about magic to make the trip...hopefully you had a good visit
It’s been great to see you on, and the decks have been on point. So glad you could get over and all record together.
Lol, CGB playing Esper and used removal once, countered 1 spell and no sweepers or draw spells but made almost 40 treasures.
I was waiting for the huge Torment of Hellfire but it never came!
I’m digging the unconventional play mechanics for unlikely color identities. Seems like wizards is doing that more

so much disrespect for the tithe LMAO
Ashlizzle definitely had a dash of salt after that galadriel's dismissal lol
I’m glad I’m not the only one who noticed lol like she kept her composure well but I could see it
This is the first time I've ever seen her get salty
@@AdamNeikirk-bj6ud she seems like shes used to playing 1v1 formats and not multiplayer very often.
CGB: I will use a counterspell to make sure Gisa resolves. Gisa: Ok I'mma kill everyone
'You're not so bad!'
'Remember this when attacking.'
'I will not!'
Love it!
The mutual 'Everybody Lives'ing
I'm in shock over this one. So much mana and nothing to do with it 😂
I guess she's just gonna win all of them
Till no one interacts with her field. Of course…
DON'T DISRESPECT THE LIZZLE
Cgb with countless treasures and nothing to cast with it rough😅
Never thought I'd ever see a Smothering Tithe running loose lose.
Man ben if you just waited until she used priest of the forgotten gods and then used atla in response the game would be free…
The smart player would use Priest in response to the Atla activation, or otherwise keep it untapped and wait for the right moment.

I too built a similar Gisa, the Hellraiser deck and my pod also spend most of the game trying their best to stay alive.
Sagittarius ♐ 🏹 ♐ always have luck and to no surprise Ashii won dearly. Yes, indeed.
I see ashlizzle I click
Everyone forgetting about mana reflection 😂
Also CBG would lose the altar when Ben dies
..also evolution leap .
Blake with the homage to MesaFalconGuy. Gotta love it. Needed more Cacaw though...
Cartographer's hawk? I think you misspelled mesa falcon

Have you noticed that Ashlizzle is the undefeated champion on this show? Wow!

You still have to pay for the copy you cast with Gaervek (+ the 2 life).
Was Blake making a reference to designated bully?? If so that’s awesome

"Kill his ass!" was the best moment of this game. I laughed out loud. My cats were alarmed.
loved the show!
Is THAT GRAVITATIONAL SHIFT?!!! LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Ash's google search immediately after: "how to make everyone not live when you want them not to live...?"
I have a question how can he run white in his deck when gale force is a pure blue color commander?
Inniaz has UW hybrid mana symbols in their activated ability.

Wheres the link for the house!
Wonder if Blake’s deck runs Dovescape. Would that be beneficial for him or bad? Hmm
Polyraptor * marauding raptor is great unless you don’t have plowshares in hand because then it forces a draw.
Could the thieving skydiver kicker cost be x = 0, or to activate the kicker do you have to pay at least 1?
Great game, had everything you wanted to see in a game of a commander, politics, etc. GG
What a weird and disjointed game. Imagine how much longer this would have been with a board wipe.
Bring more guess's! Its way better 🙏
Btw with Aetherspouts, creatures owners make the choice
Didn't change outcome tho

Cgb getting roasted by the editor.
Ben, just play Pantlaza :)
Ben was extra funny this match
Where are the deck lists?
Gotta say, I kept waiting for Finale of Revelation :P
Can't believe CGB is playing blue. What a surprise.
Why did CGB have Phyrexian Altar after Ben died?
Yeah that’s a mistake
Why won't you die??? Lol that was a fun game ggs and you all are cool

Great video guys! Can we expect to see Shea again, or is Ash replacing her for the future?
Nah Ash is just a guest pretty sure. She’s got her own channel that she keeps really busy on.
Shea will be back. They featured Ash so much because she had to fly over to visit.
Yeah they filmed all these videos a few weeks ago. Ash lives in Europe I think, maybe Sweden? Normal crew will be back soon enough.
@MetaLibanez1 she's from the Netherlands actually.
Yo
Would Chromium have gone back to CGB after Blake died? If so, that would have given him a lethal flying attacker.
Nope, the effect that changed control was long done by the time Blake died. To get Chromium back he would have had to remove it from the field.
