This is a very good video. As a brazilian F1 fan since the early 70`s, I was there at Interlagos for the 1979 Brazilian F1 GP and had the privilege to see Laffite`s fantastic victory and Depailler`s second place. Thanks for uploading this documentary.
To me this is an excellent document. Thank you for keeping and making it available. It en passant casts a light on an era and its end when cultural differences and the possibility 'to create and make true' something resulted in positively diverse Aire in Europe.
Laffite and Depailler were the dynamic duo at that time, but sorry that Depailler had a serious accident. Feels like I'm watching the musketeers. RIP Depailler and Guy Ligier.
That ludicrous air scoop was horrible and magnificent at the same time. I'll never forget it. Also....his loyalty to the memory of Jo Schlesser, who drove one tragic race in F1, with no living legacy, lived on for years in the JS cars.
I've said before and I'll say again if F1 was about how beautiful a car looked, Ligier would've won and everyone else would go home without a wheel being turned!
I always had a soft spot for the Liger team, but Guy made bad decisions and the insistence on having everything be as French as possible was a big mistake.

The JS11 is one of my favorite F1 cars. Such a pretty, elegant car.
Rest in peace, the big boss of F1 all the times as:
Enzo Ferrari
Colin Chapman
Ken Tyrrell
And Guy Ligier.
And Frank Williams.
