I never thought about ice. I usually ask for extra, extra ice in my drinks because I like them to be super cold. ✌️❤️✌️

Yeah, unfortunately, ice cubes are a big source of contamination, but you can't always avoid them. If you trust the restaurant you're eating at, then I see no problem with asking for them.

@@VeganOstomy I had an ileostomy in Oct. (3 months ago) and it really scared the shit out of me
.... My husband and I are both 70.... But thankfully we make a good team. However without youtube we'd have been lost. Your videos have helped us enormously. You and other young people who are living with ostomy bags are an inspiration to us older folk. I'm English, but live in Spain where we have excellent health care and insurance, which makes life so much easier. We recently went to Barcelona for a visit to a team who are doing clinical trials for cancer (which I have)..... It was our first train journey since my surgery...... We had every mishap you could possibly think of.... Including a "leak" in a taxi (about turn back to the hotel) and losing our whole ostomy "kit". 😱😱😱. I wish I had seen you 3 part video on travelling as an ostomate!!! I think I could probably help you to make another!! Fortunately we recuperated the kit with all the "essentials". We learned the hard way how to travel! Please keep doing the videos..... They really help. THANKYOU

@@lindabadsey396 Hi Linda. I always try to take those negative experiences as an opportunity to learn. You can't possibly plan for *everything*, but each mishap does help you prepare for the next time. I do trust that things will become easier for you in time. I would have also been pretty lost without the help of others, so I'm glad to hear that my videos have helped you.
I wish you good health and a more positive ostomy experience 👍

Do you use wipes instead of the spray to help taking your bag of on the plane and is it the stoma nurse you ask for them or is it your supplier pls

At home, I tend to use adhesive remover spray, but when travelling it's easier to bring wipes because they're sealed in individual packets and it's easier to travel with through airport security when you don't have an aerosol can. Because I purchase all my supplies through a medical supplier, I get the adhesive remover through them.
