The only remaining problem with the "XO Drum Machine" setup is that because XO is in a return track, the audio have latency (one block specifically). Its fine with low buffer sizes but breaks down with bigger buffer sizes, as it doesn't properly compensate for that feedback loop (which is probably a bug with bitwig's latency compensation). It's kind of a deal breaker in the latency introduced alone, tbh, and I personally don't use the drum machine part that much, so I'll be looking for other ways of integrating it (mainly getting the note names on the piano roll and mixing directly in the Bitwig mixer).
The what is Reese stereo came up in my mind, so I axed Gemini... There isn't a common term "Reese stereo" in the world of audio. Here are some possibilities that might be related to what you're looking for: Reese Bass: This is a specific sound effect used in electronic music genres like Drum and Bass, Dubstep, and Bass House. It's a deep, wobbly bass sound created with synthesizers. If you're interested in learning more about the Reese bass, I can provide some details on how it's made. It probably never would have occurred to me to use a mono bass sound.... Until now!
I see that you fixed to where you can preview samples in xo but will that create a new problem? When you mute the individual tracks you lose the ability to put effects on the individual drums when you go into the mixer view, right ??
Just like with the older setup where the whole return was muted. The idea was to get the audio into the cells and process it there. I think you can expand the cells in the mixer if I’m not wrong.
@@PolarityMusic I meant to say “when you mute the layer” but you got what I was staying. I tried and it worked like a charm. Thanks for the tip. It would be nice now if there was a way to press a command to split the drums to individual tracks, then bounce to audio if needed like studio one and logic
Next level info as always. Thank you! 🔥
Yep. That is perfect!

Stereo bass has its advantages too, right? Why make it mono?
some people want to play music on a club system with maximum pressure. or put it on vinyl.
